Did not watch that many games on this tournament but this one was by far the best so far that I watched. It sort feels fair that each team won one of those close long maps with Ancient rush. I am also sure TA does not agree with this statement, they looked gutted when match finished.

Liquid is just pushing as far as possible so that Matumbaman can't retire, they wanna milk him as much as possible Smiley

I’m not updated on Agent M retirement plan but is he staying if they did manage to be a champion on this TI? I really think they can manage to beat anyone on the top 4 remaining teams since they have the momentum. I believe they can do a revenge match against Aster and beat Tundra on lower bracket finals just to sweep Secret on the grand finals.  Cheesy

This is what I’m thinking for the possible outcome because Team Liquid is really on fire now since all them is doing there part during crucial time.

I read that he is happy retiring no matter what the result in TI is, so I think he is serious about retiring. It would be a great send-off if they would be able to win the TI. And it is a great journey as well. Coming from the Last Chance Qualifier and ending in the top 4 of TI is already a great achievement. Considering a few weeks ago they are not even qualified for TI yet and have to battle it out in LCQ. If they win this, it will be epic.

It would be nice if the two LCQ qualifiers meet in the Finals. Team Secret is quite strong right now and they are quite a favorite against Tundra. So, they may be the first to take the Finals. Team Liquid will have a harder path through but still doable. After their epic performance today, I am sure they will be hyped facing Aster on their next series. And that momentum may pushed them to take the Finals slot.

Agent M is one of my favorite carry and also my nightmare if I’m betting on the team against them. He still got the moves and definitely still on prime. I wonder what’s the deciding factor for him to decide that he will retire while he still on his prime with a great team mate.

I have a goosebumps on there recent much against TA and I really feel that they can beat all odds against base on there performance. They never lose hope no matter how hard there situation in the game. This is the quality that Team Spirit show before when they get there TI win. I will choose Liquid over Secret if they are the one will face on the Grand finals.

Yeap. Beastcost did won a map on PSG and I didn't expect it but PSG made a comeback if we keep it real because BC could have won map 2 as well and it was all over for PSG at that point. However, teamfight execution from PSG was flawless and that's how they managed to win game 2 but also game 3. Shocked

Sadly PSG.LGD was not able to improve for their next match against Aster and therefore they have lost that matchup with 0-2 which was a pretty big surprise for me to be honest. My two big favorites to win this TI were Team Spirit and PSG.LGD for me. Spirit did not even survive the first round in the lower bracket and now LGD is also out pretty early for their standards. That was Faith_bian last match today which is also pretty sad. OG is also out already which means we will have a pretty surprising new TI champion this year which just shows how competitive the Dota pro scene is nowadays. Team Secret looks very strong so far in this tournament.

Two teams from the last chance qualifiers are still in for the last batch of games for Dota 2, The International. We're now down to the top 4 teams and the two teams that I'm saying are Team Liquid and Team Secret. While for Team Secret, they're now guaranteed for the top 3. And Team Liquid is guaranteed for the top 4 and they're about to face Team Aster in the lower bracket. The top 4 teams remaining are the following:
  • Team Secret
  • Tundra
  • Team Liquid
  • Team Aster
Aside from these, PSG.LGD is already out and we've likely seen the very last games of faith_bian which he said that he's going into retirement. One of the best offlaners for me and a former TI champ too, Wings gaming will always be remembered.

I'd totally love the grandfinals to be between Team Liquid and Team Secret. Both Matu and Puppey deserve to lift the Aegis for the 2nd time though. Matu has already announced that this is his final year for competitive dota scene and this could be Puppey's last year as well considering that he has appeared in every TI, massive achievement and so far he is the only one

So 5 days break on TI, guess we'll shift focus to Worlds instead huh

Astralis vs Eternal Fire was very close in the end, didnt feel like it was certain either way there and Astralis are doing well to rebuild themselves post giant changes in their team however it now looks like they can lose to Heroic.   They have to keep readapting and changing to survive and get better like they were before.   Considering the odds for Astralis getting a nuke win to go on in this series is well over 10 to 1 its worth a bet as underdog.   Every great team has to come back from nothing or they are not  great, its more then just winning its the ability not to collapse under pressure.

Mibr vs Fluxo later mibr have the higher odds despite a much better ranking.  Fluxo seem likely to do best on their own preferred maps, I think bet for 3 maps is reasonable.

I don't like the setup of PGL and I thought that no one has noticed that with the early stage of the TI that the players are on open area with the audience in front of them. They don't have sound proof unlike the past TIs. PGL is a thumbs down organizer and it's inappropriate to have that setup because the players can hear the casters.

The setup should be like the sound proof room where the players can't hear the casters and cheers outside. This is the result when Valve is on a tight budget and took a budget meal from the organizers. Many fans aren't satisfied or is it because it's on Singapore? They don't take seriously if the venue is from the SEA?
Caused quite a storm of dramas on reddit. As I said, everyone agreed it was very unfair for teams that didn't utilize it and made the whole match become lame. You guys had seen the final results of some matches recently, a lot of upset games there or swift victories for underdog teams. With this no soundproof booth on top of it, hola, teams that lose become bitter because they would argue that other teams have unfair advantages against them in critical moments like smokes and such. Yeah, 'unfair advantages' that usually bet sites cited to invalidate your bet slip. Time to stop betting on this TI event cause there are too many variables against our bet.

I don't think Singapore, a place that held many events around the world is looked down upon by PGL. It was fully PGL's incomplete about headsets for the noise canceling or soundproof booth for players. Even if a player with good conscious and want to play it fair, he can't just turn off his hearing from the sound leak from casters and audiences.
I think about the budgeting has something to do with it and likely Valve gave that bare minimum and PGL set it up the way they've handled the budget. But let's still give it the benefit of the doubt since there will still be one final blow next week for the semis and finals.

As for those dramas about that we've seen, I think one co-owner or part of Fnatic has officially filed a complaint against it because of the admission of some players that they can hear the casters words like what runes the players taken in-game and those stuff so, let's leave it there.

The setup should be like the sound proof room where the players can't hear the casters and cheers outside. This is the result when Valve is on a tight budget and took a budget meal from the organizers. Many fans aren't satisfied or is it because it's on Singapore? They don't take seriously if the venue is from the SEA?

SEA or not, they should take the set up and the venue seriously. It is not like it's just a few thousand dollars prize pool events. It is a multi-million-dollar prize pool. It should reflect the venue and production. And the audience paid to view the event. They should get their money's worth. How could they enjoy the event if they can't hear the casters? I think this is the worst TI so far not just about this but also the players getting covid during the tournament.
Well, if Valve is going to listen to its community, I guess that this is the last time that they'll allow PGL to handle the production. Remember the other ugly set up that they've made during Shanghai majors if IIRC.

That also has made noise in the Dota 2 community.

The result of the Astralis vs HEROIC matchup in the grand final wasn't surprising at all in my opinion.

HEROIC were already the absolute favourite above all else. Their odd was like 1.30 and 2.95 was the odd given to Astralis. I assume many people tried their luck with Astralis after seeing their incredible rise in BLAST Premier Fall Showdown. They were unexpectedly solid until reaching this stage. However I was much closer to HEROIC here as their performance wasn't alike to even Vitality's. They were eager to be the winner of the tournament as much as Astralis. And they showed it by a solid 2-0 victory (22-20 on Ancient, 16-10 on Nuke).

TeSeS was very impressive especially on Ancient with 40 kills.

This was the most impressive round of him which he got 4 kills (2 with Deagle and 2 with Galil): https://clips.twitch.tv/BlatantPlacidPassionfruitAMPEnergy-NijaNNj-CuI93gdQ?tt_content=url&tt_medium=clips_api

I think Beastcoast members except for C_smile were having symptoms of covid, hence why he's with teddy bears and stuff on the TI stage, same scenario with RNG.

I suspected that much but I just want to confirm it here. Is Covid protocol over there too lux that a few players are getting covid? It is hard to win if you are far apart from your team.

I think they aren't strict when it comes to checking but are strict in imposing protocols. RNG's manager slid into these checks and managed to get in to the area where players are chilling even though he is COVID-positive. They don't do extensive tests, and PGL and Valve should have been more careful because it will lead to a lot of said cases just like what happened to Bc and RNG.

This TI, outplaying is not enough. It's the draft that matters. Lots of times Beastcoast managed to outplay LGD and clean them out on teamfights but Ame still managed to get the best of Bc because they lack the physical defense (Halberd, AC, Shiva) against a Sven that is basically 7-slotted even though they are ahead of the game.

Once Sven got his timing, he is basically one stun one hitting most of the beastcoast heroes. They are just paper to Sven. MOst of the time, the one that got a better draft win. I think I am yet to see a countered draft and win.

I think PSG.LGD is countered heavily on that draft, but they managed to make it work somehow. Bc is equipped with a lot of kiting tools against that Sven and Lesh, and they have sufficient burst damage thanks to ET and SF's synergy in reducing LGD's armor to negatives when they caught even the Sven. It's just that Ame knows the power of his hero and used it very well against the rather squishy lineup of BC.

Had that CK went for a more armor build like AC, and Marci or ET went for a Halberd, it would have been a different story altogether, but they weren't able to get the timings and they opted to go for a more high-ground siege type of items in the mid game because Bc thought they are extremely far ahead.

A week of no TI dota for us, but the last match of the day is extremely hype! Thunder Awaken managed to give some hits and receive some up until the very end. Insania also dodged being an analyst for the last few matches of the tournament Cheesy This year, I'm inclined to bet on Team Secret to win this year's TI. Puppey's drafts is just on another level!

Heroic played well as a team this time. Astralis has been performing well lately, so I was hesitant to pick a side in this match. Astralis still played well, but heroic seemed to have really practiced for this match. The frag contribution of the players was incredible compared to astralis. Cadian and teses made the difference and managed to get the win against astralis. Thus, heroic blast premier fall qualified to go to the finals.

Two teams from the last chance qualifiers are still in for the last batch of games for Dota 2, The International. We're now down to the top 4 teams and the two teams that I'm saying are Team Liquid and Team Secret.

I too love to see the Last Chance Qualifiers take the Final Stage of TI 2022. It will be a good send-off to Matu. He is already a Hall of Famer and would likely be missed by Dota fans. I wanted to see him one last time on the Finals stage and go toe-to-toe with whoever they are against. I would love to see the same kind of game they played against Thunder Awaken. That would be an epic way to close TI.

I do not know if Puppey will retire but he did not make any announcement yet. And the way team secret is doing right now, if they don't bag it this year, he may come back again next year.

Today the top four team secured their spots, and unexpected things happen team LGD lose their fight the uncrowned king is remove in the game today Puppey and Matu is the one who is expecting for the another TI Title.
Team Secret, Aster, Tundra and Team Liquid this game is too hard and for sure we wait for the another 5 days rest before the grand finals comes up, for me Team Secret well deserved to have a good chance here and next is the Tundra they are really hard team else we face another underdog TI champ again.

Budget is a great excuse to dodge their responsibility for the failure to anticipant the sound leak. Like come on, just put some staff in, play some Dota2 games with their headset, turn on the arena's sound system and roar to the mic to see if staff can still hear the sound. How hard can it be? Or are you telling me they know about potential problems arising but because of 'much budget' so no decent headset or some piece of glass to make a soundproof booth? Irresponsibility.

The game ended 2-0. Damn, what a letdown and I was hoping for an intense 2-1 with map 3 to see Danish's inferno strats. Astralis almost could drag it to 2-1 if they can end the map 1 ancient instead of going to OT and slowly losing momentum against Heroic. But on the days blameF become a bottom frag in ancient, although 4 other players from Astralis have already tried their best, it was not enough.

That's going to be like the OG and Team Spirit's run for winning their own grand finals in the past TIs. Because both of the teams came from the last-chance qualifiers. It's actually one to ship and very possible that they will face it in the grand finals.
Puppey's achievement from experiencing having one title for TI and being a participant for all of the TIs is one of a kind. But if he seems to be still reliable, I hope that we don't see him quit unlike the others.

In this 5 days break of waiting we can now see another TI Champion hopefully there's no issues with health again due to this pandemic, for me secret is the most focus in this game and Puppey well deserved really to be get the tier of the Ti Champion imagine having a secured for all spot in Ti but still can't manage to win the OG and TS is already out of the game this is the chance for Team Secret.

You guys what time will you think this TI?

It's not just all about the headset, a soundproof is still better and preferred just like last TI. But we don't know what will be the look of the next stage for the finals. Maybe PGL will do better on that.

And while we're waiting for some games in the coming days, March is out of T1 as coach, Xepher posted on his Twitter that he's now looking for a team and as well as Kuku, looking for new opportunities posted on his Facebook page.

There is only one week to go for Major Challengers Stage now.

The first eight teams are going to qualify for Legends Stage. fnatic, Cloud9, Vitality, MOUZ, OG, BIG, Outsiders and FURIA are my favourite teams for top 8. However there is one team that can make a surprise also. That team is GamerLegion. The reason why I think like this is that their peformance in the previous stage was really lovely. They defeated G2. They made big difficulties for FaZe and Spirit as well. They have proven themselves to be among the teams to be careful about. Among my favourites, there is a question mark about BIG also. Because they have been really an inconsistent team lately. They even lost to Sangal recently and were eliminated in the BLAST Premier.

That is the responsibility of the managers. They are there to make sure that their players will obey covid safety protocols to avoid contracting covid while in the tournament. Playing for TI is pressure enough, playing TI with covid is surely a lot more pressure. See the teams that got infected with covid, they could not perform well. RNG started TI strong and after they got Covid, they never won a single series. It would be a disaster if a team qualified for Finals but got covid. The managers are surely working double time to remind their team to keep safe and follow protocols.

I thought the reason why TI's schedule is like that is to give more time for the meet and greets, the fan service, and other on ground events? Never knew it was still related to covid, and 5 days is a very short time to curb the possible spread of the virus and for the symptoms to also be gome from the players. If, from the get go PGL and Valve are strict as hell, this wouldn't have happened, and teams that ended up contracting COVID and played the tournament might have had a different outcome.
