C9 vs Liquid starts off close on Inferno, I think surely this game goes to 3 maps so an easy bet to make.   All these players know and have played vs each other on a regular basis as part keeping up their training, should be fairly close either way.
  It is quite surprising to see its C9 at rank 11 and Liquid at 3, we'll see if Hobbit and friends can pick up speed.  The odds greatly favor C9 regardless,  3.3 for Liquid is probably worth it I need to watch them more.  1 round down on their map pick T side, people have alot of faith in C9 here.

Liquid and EG made a very impressive start at first but now Cloud9 and FURIA have started to recover. In case Cloud9 and FURIA both win, Eternal Fire will still have a chance for top 3. However round difference is going to be the main factor to decide the teams qualifying from the group and I'm afraid Eternal Fire's job is too difficult about that.

Actually they started with a 7-0 series against Movistar Riders but they got the same answer by their opponent. Now even if they win the first map the round difference can be 7 the most. They will need to literally destroy Movistar Riders on next map to have a chance for real. Turkish teams have an interesting characteristics in nearly all sports. They love to leave their chance to final moments.

Team Liquid won overpass in overtime.

This mean that the hope of Eternal Fire entering the playoffs is now extinguished. Their last hope lies on Team Liquid losing 0-2 from cloud9 but Team Liquid forced an overtime and winning it eventually. They start weak on the overtime giving 2 easy rounds to C9. But after a timeout, they pulled themselves together and got 4 straight rounds forcing Map 3.

So we have C9 getting the top of Group D, while Furia and Team Liquid will qualify for playoffs.

I learned when the matches were being played that all the things Eternal Fire needed were like this:

- Cloud9 to beat Liquid
- FURIA to beat EG by 2-0

As long as Eternal Fire won they were going to wait for the other conditions to come true. They won against Movistar Riders without big difficulties and started waiting for the results. FURIA did it nicely. However Cloud9 were having a big difficulty against Liquid and it was a sign like they would lose the series. Liquid players were very determined to reach next stage and they did it by 2-0 at the end. YEKINDAR's performance on Overpass was very extra - 41 kills. They won 19-17 after OT and closed the doors for Eternal Fire unfortunately.

the same goes for Team Liquid it'll be impressive for them to at least grab a map or will Cloud9 continue their run even though there's nothing to play since they've already secured the top spot.

Watching this now, pretty close right now and Team Liquid has slight dominance though. Its not that it really matters at this point but honestly I cant believe that Cloud9 will keep on running this hot without losing a single map, thats kinda absurd especially in this tournament so Im taking Team Liquid to win a single map. At this time of writing, its currently 7-9 for Team Liquid so yeah its a small hope for me

It was Yekindar's dominance. he carried 4 bots.
Without him Liquid had no chance. There's a 15 kill disparity between him and next top fragger on his team on one map alone.

He was giving Team liquid opening kills without even going down. He carried them hard.

Cloud9 probably wasn't taking this match seriously either since they were already qualified as top seed of the group.
I can't see liquid go past the first stage in the playoffs unless Osee fixes his awping in a day. Playoffs for Liquid starts from Tuesday.

I also don't believe that Liquid deserved to qualify from this group after seeing their team performance. If it weren't for YEKINDAR's insane effort there was really no way they were winning against the unbeaten team of the group. After all that effort I would have liked to see Eternal Fire instead in the playoffs. But they were also punished for their poor performance at the beginning. When their playoff ticket started to be in danger they barely started to perform better.

I hope they have learned their lesson from this journey because they have RMR starting in a very short time period. Considering their group they should be able to enter top 8 easily. Top 4 is too difficult for them so even if they qualify for the Challengers Stage it would still be good for them. They qualified for this stage in the previous RMR also but couldn't make it to next phase. This time they might achieve this success depending on their effort with their new players.

In the recent matches, woxic started to take more responsibility and he has been getting so many frags for a few matches. It looks like the new strategy is working better for them and I expect the same strategy against Movistar Riders on both maps also. XANTARES is absolutely the mainstay of the team now. If they didn't have his extra performance most of the time then they would give up on many matches much earlier. Maybe he isn't the IGL but the team respect his calls a lot. MAJ3R is doing a good job at his IGL role for now. Things are better compared to the times woxic had the same role.

By the way Eternal Fire started very well and they are in the lead by 5-0 on Vertigo. They are taking the steps needed for comfortable wins on the first two maps but it is still early to talk about it of course. They need to be concentrated from the beginning to the end not to screw things up. In addition, the next map is Overpass and the decider is Inferno.

It's great to know woxic has stopped being an igl and let maj3r do it. woxic is the main awp and he had to focus on holding the choke points, any little bit of sidetracking will spell doom for him as awp he only got one chance here, miss one shot then you have to fall back. Hope he doesn't have to make any side call as an igl as well, just let maj3r do it full-time. Tho EF won 2-0, Liquid beat Clown9 and took the 3rd spot. nt but not enough. EF should've gone full serious since the start. Now it was too late.

And yeah, Yekindar carried Liquid really hard there. Remember the round where he only have 10HP left but run from mid to ct and caught 3 ct retake bomb B completely off guard in map inferno? That clutch is 200IQ plays and showed how bad the rest of the Liquid team are except Yekindar. 2 t already planted the bomb B side but die and can't even defend or kill one of 3 ct going for a retake, leave the hard job for Yekindar with only 10 HP left. Thank god he was able to do it and put Clown9 back to low money. Key round there.

fnatic are in a recovery phase now and they are still having bad results against below tier 1 teams recently. They lost to Sangal around a week ago in a tournament for example. They have a nice potential actually by finishing the group stage above NaVi in ESL Pro League. Liquid had a serious difficulty against Cloud9 the last time and they owe YEKINDAR a lot for qualifying from the group. If we see a similar team performance then fnatic might take advantage of it. I'll try my luck and bet on fnatic @2.21.

There isn't much to talk about FaZe - Complexity matchup. Complexity had an astonishing run indeed but this is the end of the road for them. FaZe should end them without making big mistakes. 2-0 win might be preferred @1.43 but it carries some risks at the same time. FaZe might lose one map maybe. Their win @1.11 can be added to a betslip to increase the total odd a little.

Fnatic, Liquid both teams are taking steps in a straight line in the recovery phase. After Liquid YEKINDAR's transfer, he became a different team. YEKINDAR is a scorer and makes a very important contribution to the team and makes a difference in terms of the game. For the Faze team, 2-0 score may be considered, it's not a bad rate, and in my opinion, the quality is right. because EG really got here by some luck. I don't think Faze will lose a single map.

Combined odds @4.4 and its nothing too special at this odds. Also took a single bet on Furia to win against Outsiders with higher stake, pretty sure that Furia are going to smash outsiders there and the odds are much better than I thought it would be so yeah there is no reason to skip this one

Not sure what i'm gonna do with Fnatic - Liquid, the latter are very inconsistent (how do you lose to Eternal Fire and then beat Cloud9??), but Fnatic could be a bit rusty after not playing at the highest level in the last few weeks

fnatic are absolutely going to be very unpredictable until the match starts. Actually their group performance was very impressive. Having a better stage than even NaVi is absolutely a big success. But the playoffs stage is going to be much more difficult. All teams would show their best performance from now on. Liquid are one step ahead of fnatic on paper. Maybe they've had an unstable performance in the last matches but they made a nice final in the group. If they get a big contribution by YEKINDAR once again they can be victorious.

I'd choose Liquid win and FaZe to destroy Complexity without losing any map for tomorrow's matches.

Team Liquid is relying heavily on Yekindar. If this continues in their match against FNATIC, FNATIC has a better chance of winning their series. But of course, it will depend on the maps they will be picking. I will be betting for FNATIC to win but Liquid taking one map.

FAZE against Complexity is a no-brainer, I think. They should easily win against Complexity so a 2-0 win by Faze should be a safe bet. Faze performed very well in their group matches and I expect to carry over in the playoffs.

I kinda wonder about this as well then decided to go with Liquid instead. I mean technically they should be feeling good about themselves after they won against Cloud9. It was actually close against Cloud9 on the 2nd map but there is no reason for them to lose against Fnatic after playing that good against Cloud9 so yeah hence the bet on Liquid

I picked Furia too because they've been killing it lately and they would surely be a huge contender against Outsiders. Also wanted to give KScerato a chance again since he let me down a number of times when I used to bet on Furia. Dude's a strong player but highly inconsistent, and oftentimes is being carried by teammates to a win but I still want him to step up and 'feel' like he makes up for the losses he had given me Also Outsider's last match might have gotten into them, but still they are quite the favorite in this match up for some reason.

Fnatic recently lost to some Tier 2 teams(LDLC and Sangal), I don't have much confidence in them.
They can make it work on CT sided maps but Liquid will probably ban Nuke so only Ancient is left.

If Liquid wins Ancient(which will be the first map of the series most probably), then it will be a 2-0 for Liquid.

Yea, faze is gonna breeze through complexity unless they lose all pistols, conversion and first gun round in all the halves. I don't see it happening tho unless they are playing without sound lol

I would rather bet Liquid vs Fnatic, the odds surely must favor them.   Maybe I would get good live odds waiting for 1 map lost then bet Liquid but either way I'll put down 3 maps now. 
  Col used to be a great underdog upset type team but Ive no idea now, need to watch them more but often they had a strat to turn the tables and that made them quite special vs just outright firepower.

So it's less than a week before the last chance qualifier starts in Singapore and then another few days before The International officially kicks in. A close friend keeps convincing me that we should get there and see it live. Maybe someone from here is coming there too? If this event happened pre-Covid I would go there 100%.

I'm expecting the outright odds to favor Team Spirit, OG, and PSG LGD. In the last qualifier, I am still hoping for T1 to qualify.

ESL Pro League 16 group stage is over and playoff games are starting today. So far the tournament has shown some surprises and ruined a few save bets for me. Both Cloud9 and MOUZ played really well so far and are already in the quarter finals, hopefully they can survive the next round as well. From NaVi and Faze I expected more, but hope they are going to recover now during the next match. FaZe is playing today against complexity, which is going to be a clear win for FaZe. And fnatic is playing against Team Liquid, which shows Liquid as the clear faourite, but I am not convinced on that match. Fnatic played well in Group A, with winning 1 round against NaVi and Vitality. I will go with fnatic on that match, and the odds of 2.3 give a nice payoff if I am lucky. As for tomorrow NaVi is meeting Heroic, they played the last time during the PGL Major in Antwerp where NaVi won 2-1. I am sure NaVi will win this match again. The match Furia vs Outsiders seems very close and could go either way. The last time the two teams played was at the IEM Cologne where Furia won 2-0. I will go with the Brazlians on this one.

Damn, it's not the NA CSGO without the dramas. This time it was about stewie2k and his attitude when he was on the EG's roster and his conflict with EG's coach, maLeK. Somehow, HLTV has posted a long article about the history of stewie2k, about his bad attitude on teams when they were at their low.

Then we've another bad news. It was about APEKS team with big name players like shox, STYKO, jkaem and nawwk, jL pulled off from any upcoming games, citing bad results overall.
