Where's the hype on this thread guys? Berlin Major is now in the grand finals. The two teams are:
  • Team Liquid
  • Gaimin Gladiators
With the history of these two teams, Team Liquid didn't beat them from the last major that they faced together and that was during the Lima majors.
For the first map, there's Pudge + Alche + DS for Team Liquid while for Gaimin Gladiators, they've got typical heroes and with a Terrorblade as carry.
Team Liquid looked a bit off this tournament and still they were able to make it to grand final. That being said Gaimin Gladiators looked good in all matched and I don't see a way for Liquid to win today. I took GG @1.6 after few minutes of the first map, don't know what were the odds before it started but I fell like realistic odds should have been something like 1.4.
I've been enthusiastic that they'll be the ones to stop GG. Yes, they did win but just one time to them, and then the rest is history and another victory for GG.
You're right and you're feeling exactly was the outcome of this match and they did win the grand finals making this tournament another easy tournament for them since all of those past majors.
Who do you think can stop GG from the next tournaments? While, it's already announced that the next TI12 will be in Seattle, USA.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Another looking easy win for GG.

Well, there's still some 1 win from Team Liquid and from all of those matches that they've got, this is the only one win from them against the Gaimin Gladiators.

The rest, they're all losses and that means a lot to them and also for GG. We can say that they're the strongest team right now and hopefully they won't choke on the TI.

I feel the Vibes of Tundra last year on them. The only difference was they are very consistent when Quinn added on their roster. Quinn is carrying more the team compared to Dyrachyo because he always dominate the mid lane on the lane stage while still have a strong finish on late game.

So far he is the best mid laner that even Nisha is having a hard time to match him. I think they will not choke because they can easily adapt on the new patches. Maybe having an incomplete roster is the only way for them to choke assuming they will continue to play like this.
I wouldn't compare the role of Quinn and Drachyo but it's true that the impact of Quinn really is visible and can't be ignore when he's with the team.

They're winning major after a major and then is now near to securing a slot in the next The International. Team Liquid secures TI slot and GG is the 2nd of the dpc ranking so this will still make them secure the slot even if there will be another team that shall be in there.

Not that much points to cover those that are at the bottom so this means a lot for GG, whether they participate another major which will be the last one or the other DPC tour, that won't matter anymore as points will be lacking for most teams securing them that slot soon.

Quinn was a good addition to Gaimin Gladiator and he really fits to their gameplay. In his previous team, Quincy Crew, Quinn is quite aggressive and sometimes getting in an island of enemies without his crew. But in GG, even if he goes aggressive, his support is always there on the right place to back him up. And it is working for them for quite some time now. Even on this new patch, they quite adopted very quickly and maintained their dominance in DOTA 2.

Congratulations to Gaimin Gladiator for winning the Berlin Major. It is their second major win for this year. They continue to dominate DOTA 2 and this might continue until the TI. Hopefully, they will not be like OG before the TI win, winning major after major and dropping the most important tournament of the year, TI.

I also thought that Team Liquid will be able to win against GG, especially after pulling that pocket strat against 9Pandas in the Lower Bracket Finals. I thought they will have another pocket strat specifically tailored for the Gaimin Gladiator but GG is just too strong for Team Liquid right now. I guess with the game play that they have, GG will continue to be dominant this year.

That and having an active squad hunting in different parts of the map is much needed during this patch since kills are more rewarding and their drafts are too good.

Hopefully, they will not be like OG before the TI win, winning major after major and dropping the most important tournament of the year, TI.
And it's their third tournament win since there's also the DreamLeague just before this major. Maintaining their form will be tough but I think they can hold it throughout as long as every member of the team can keep up with the squad.

When Team Liquid dropped a map against 9Pandas during the lower bracket finals that was more than enough for me to expect another convincing win from Gaimin Gladiators.

In LOL at MSI we have now EU vs Korea and China vs USA so we can expect Korea and China to advance. It played out so bad for EU this time around but we can expect some suprises from them.

EU vs Korea isn't going to be easy at all. G2 are going to face Gen.g and MAD Lions are going to compete against T1. Both of these European teams can have serious difficulties in these series. Because Korean teams are still playing at an incredible level. Normally T1 are the team at top in Korea in my opinion. But Gen.g proved themselves very strong once again by beating T1 in LCK. So both of these Korean teams can be a big challenge for the Europeans.

If one of these European teams make a surprise maybe it might be MAD Lions as I like their effort more than G2 recently. There are other series like C9 - BLG and JDG - GG. My favourites are BLG and JDG here. As far as I know BLG don't have any MSI experience but there is still a big difference in game between them and C9 now. GG look very weak against JDG which are the LPL champions.
I like MAD more too but I think in international stage the G2 team has higher peak and they are more hungry. Now will they be able to perform we will see. I think LEC has good read on meta at the moment but will that be enough to beat Korea I don't think so.

GG is just unstoppable and they need to be stopped or should I say that they are unlikely to be stopped by whomever. But just another good news for Sumail, he's been taken as a loan by Team Aster as their mid lane until the TI12.
This is actually good for him that he's got a better team now, he'll not do good with Nigma Galaxy because they're just now a weak team and have been falling shortly and barely manages to get to the lan tournaments.

Apeks have been one of the really impressive teams in Major Challenger Stage so far. First they beat Liquid by 16-12. Liquid are the team in the 7th place on HLTV right now and they are really strong. After that Apeks put on an amazing show by a 16-0 victory over Grayhound. You know Grayhound are normally a team that don't have much different placement than Apeks. There are going to be 8 teams joining Legends Stage from this one. Thus it is important to make your best effort here in this stage.

I think there will be one or two good teams making a surprise by being eliminated in this stage. I wouldn't like to see one of them being Liquid. It has a really good roster actually and YEKINDAR is my favourite fragger there. It would be sad not to see him in Legends Stage.

Are there Old G fans here? Remember when they've been defaulted because there's no resolution and kitrak to play for them since the two played stand in in the Berlin major?

They're forfeited for their division 2 slot and has to go through with the qualifiers.

It's a hassle to go through more matches but it is what it is after what he said in that tweet. As much as I like the guys on Old G I think Ceb should've let that issue go instead of releasing that tweet which set the team back even further.

Also, Aster picked up Sumail from Nigma Galaxy which isn't surprising because during the major there were a few posts about their former midlaner Xwy getting unlisted from Team Aster via the dpc registration site.

Seleri has been a silent beast since Team Tickles and all it needs for him to get that Major title is for his team to get better and for the patch to favor them. They really do well on high-tempo heroes and Seleri knows this as the captain of GG. The patch also made these high-tempo heroes a lot more effective because of the map control those teleporting things give. Overall, GG played extremely well against a team that also uses the same strat thanks to their captain who knows how to play with heroes and maps in this patch.

Upper bracket matches have finally started in MSI. There was a significant level of quality difference between Gen.G and G2 Esports before the series started already. We have seen this difference in game as well. Gen.G started to show their quality by the first game already and the second one was even a one-sided game to tell the truth. In Game 2, there was a really huge bot gap especially. Peyz is such a great ADC really. He can be very dangerous with his Aphelios.

G2 tried to show some existence by winning one game but that was all from them. Gen.G really dominated the series and I started to expect the same from T1 against MAD Lions tomorrow.

Are there Old G fans here? Remember when they've been defaulted because there's no resolution and kitrak to play for them since the two played stand in in the Berlin major?

They're forfeited for their division 2 slot and has to go through with the qualifiers.

Old G disqualified from DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3 Closed Qualifiers
It's a hassle to go through more matches but it is what it is after what he said in that tweet. As much as I like the guys on Old G I think Ceb should've let that issue go instead of releasing that tweet which set the team back even further.

Also, Aster picked up Sumail from Nigma Galaxy which isn't surprising because during the major there were a few posts about their former midlaner Xwy getting unlisted from Team Aster via the dpc registration site.
We're seeing a lot of roster changes and teams are getting serious as we're about to see the end of these majors and the qualifiers and points counting for the The International 12 is at hand.

Good for Sumail that he's taken by Team Aster as he did really well. There could be some communication barrier between him and other teammates but it seems nothing at all as he's willing to adopt. I've remembered one incident before when matumbaman was kicked by either Team Secret or Team Liquid(old Nigma). The chinese teams were interested in taking him.

Speaking of Old G, it seems that PuckChamp has taken the entire roster. So coming from Old G, they're now Puckchamp. Will still wait for the official announcement.

Seleri and Tofu are really a good tandem, no offense to other pos 4 and 5 support tandems but them, they're noticeable and have brought the team very well.

I can't agree more.

Overall, GG adopting Quinn as their mid from major to major, all of them performed well. If there are some mistakes, honestly, I don't see any of it from them except when Quinn was flamed in the mid lane but he's still able to recover from those continuous kills on him thanks to his teammates.

It looks like they had enough of it and just decided to pay their way back into Div 2 this time though Ceb will be the offlaner and Aramis will be the soft support for the team.

The old LGD squad is looking to return as well after they took the slot of YBB gaming, I don't trust their carry player as much though since he wasn't that great during his time in XG but I still hope they get at least top 4.

Korean teams continue to dominate MSI. This time there was a huge domination or stomp by T1 against MAD Lions. The first game started in favour of MAD Lions for some time but their joy didn't last long anyway. T1 showed a great example of experience and dedication to make an impressive comeback. Nisqy had a horrible game by the way. Faker also didn't start well but at least he improved his stats later on. MAD Lions' end was even more painful as they couldn't even win one game in the series.

I wouldn't even be surprised if we see a finale between these two Korean teams. But I would like to see some different competition instead. We have already seen a delightful final series in LCK between these two.

It's possible that they've bought the slot or it's that the org of Puckchamp have contacted them and wanted them to play for them. It's either of the two actually.

But looking at the actual page of Puckchamp of liquipedia, it's still the old roster that has been there. And there's this note on the page of DPC WEU division 2 that says, this is what the editor of it found from the current DPC registration.
Note: Roster based on public announcement and DPC registration.

The old LGD squad is looking to return as well after they took the slot of YBB gaming, I don't trust their carry player as much though since he wasn't that great during his time in XG but I still hope they get at least top 4.

I think I've seen play lou before but because his team wasn't really popular back then, it wasn't noticeable. But this is a good thing that the crave for the international stage was with chalice, somnus and fy. They only need one more and that's Ame.

We might see some roster change just for them to give way for Ame then and he'll get out of retirement to go back in the pro scene. Who knows?  Roll Eyes

After T1 completed that comeback during the first game, they might've destroyed Mad Lions' morale since the next two games quickly snowballed out of control. And they made it look like one of the fastest series so far.

We have no choice if it's another LCK final because that's how far ahead the LCK teams are in terms of performance while the other regions are falling off or the gap is starting to grow farther apart compared to the previous seasons. I'd also prefer to see a different grand final but that'll depend on the performance of the LPL teams. IMO they're the only ones that can go head-to-head against the top two LCK teams.

FaZe and G2 made it to the legends stage, that's the top team secured. Disappointed with how Mouz played as well as I put them in my in-game Pick'em Cheesy. They really didn't show up in that tournament. To be fair their opponents (NIP, GL, OG) weren't the easiest ones in the group but prime Mouz should be able to beat one of those teams.

Three spots left. My money is on Liquid, Monte, and Forze. I really need Liquid and Forze to go through to save my in-game Pick'em, gotta get the diamond coin for the last major.

I didn't expect mouz to perform so badly and be eliminated, in the same way I had put them in my pick.Fortunately, the other 6 options I chose came and there was no problem. Of course, as you said, their opponents were not easy, but it should be said that they were strong enough to win.As for the other remaining teams, I was surprised that only Forze lost to GL.I think the Forze team should have won that match, but they failed.

Tomorrow the main matches of the major tournament start and frankly I will be waiting with curiosity to see who will be the champion in the last csgo major.I think navi will definitely be one of the first teams to go 3-0 in this group stage. It could be a tournament where both navi and G2 will be in a fierce race. For s1mple and niko, the chance to be champion in the last major is inevitable. There is also vitality, but for some reason I find it weak for them to get this far.zywoo is playing alone in the team and I was not sure what they would do since apex usually demoralizes the team.I am one of those who think that the ITB team will be eliminated without winning a match.I think it was a great success for them to even get this far.

Well actually the rumours are that Old G purchased that spot from PuckChamp to stay in division 2. One part of the reason would be a guarantee chance to play in the TI qualifiers because only teams that in on division 1 and 2 will be able to join. Obviously their chances are high to get through the open qualifier but it still chances so purchasing this slot was actually a good move

Anyone betting on the opening game for the EEU division?
