I have several wallets on the machine, and only this one looks like this. I normally use sandbox for the wallets, just in case.

Sandbox always runs out of mem when i try to run a wallet in it. How do you get around that?

ROTFLMFAO!

Did you see my post above about that fix not helping?

Cheesy

Indeed I did…

Hmmm Still the same.

Batch file

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
"C:\Coins and pools\GroestlCoin\Gpu-DwarfPool-grs\sgminer\sgminer.exe"  --config "C:\Coins and pools\GroestlCoin\Gpu-DwarfPool-grs\sgminer\Cgminer.conf"

I even added scrypt=false to config just to be sure.

and was wondering if ur using the correct miner
u should b e using SPH-Sgminer 4.1 for AMD GPUs (Windows binary) available here: http://www.groestlcoin.org/pools/

also:

-k groestlcoin
or
kernel = groestlcoin

may be required

PS… scrypt=false - now im laughing my ass off too Smiley

OK, It was the Sgminer I got from the SGminer page that did me in.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0  I used the latest version Version 4.2.0

Hey guys, I am running 2 Nvidia 770 gtxs using this bat file. The pool dashboard isn't registering that my miners are working, but the both GPU threads are running. No accepts/declines/Yay.

Any advice to solve this would be greatly appreciated. TY in advance.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
ccminer.exe -t 2 -a groestl -o stratum+tcp://cryptohunger.com:3333 -u username.workername -p password

hmm… perhaps cryptohunger is having an issue atm?
could u try a differnt pool pls?
give grs.suprnova.cc or coinmine.pl/grs a try

thx

I couldnt even connect to coinmine.pl . Thats why i switched over. Having the miner actually connect and run is the best its been for GRS so far. I wonder how long the delay is on the site dashboard before it shows my productivity... i would assume around 1 or so rounds.

OK coinmine has got little hashrate, maybe adding confusion here - try grs.suprnova.cc (still must wait ~10 mins for  first dashboard activity)

p.s. u did create ur own account on coinmine , then create a worker name and password right, and enetr that into ur command : ccminer.exe -t 2 -a groestl -o stratum+tcp://cryptohunger.com:3333 -u username.workername -p password ?

yes yes i do create accounts and workers for each site/pool. Unfortunately I find it funny to give them names that may be considered rude... or racist... so i just wanted to refrain from putting those miner names out there. LoL .. I am now on Suprnova 5 minutes in. I think I am going to try and redownload CCminer and make sure its the most relevant version.

My GPUs are not at screaming fan speeds now mining this algo, getting around 32Mh/s with 2x 290x and 2x 7970L.

Est next diff. 36,166.7606, I know it changes each block but that is a huge diff change from 108.226.

Hi all!

I added a FAQ section to groestcoin.org yesterday with the questions regarding no accepts/rejects.

Also see a few pages back regarding a solution to the same problem.

Look at the bottom of first post in sph-sgminer thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0.

Quote
Important! A new option was added: --difficulty-multiplier. It allows to set stratum difficulty multiplier. For QubitCoin, Quark and Animecoin it will be usually 256. For Groestlcoin, Fuguecoin and Twecoin it will be usually 0.0039062500 (1/256). Default value is 1.0. If you have "share above target" errors then set it to 256. If difficulty required by pool is strangely large, set it to 0.0039062500 (1/256). Other values are unlikely to be used. Hopefully this will fix all remaining stratum problems.

Basically, without that option, your difficulty is 256 times larger than necessary.

Thanks

Pool0 is incorrect. Should be grs.cryptohunger.com. :-)

Which sgminer version are you using?
If it's the recent one, the you would need to set difficulty multiplier. Read my earlier post.

Also, you might want to increase gpu frequency (I'm using 1200 on r9 290) and can reduce mem freq (150 for r9 290)

Sorry, I think it is.
My 50,000 bounty is only valid for GRS as parent and also, I am not going to change GRS wallet to support merged mining. Your team have shown openness to changes: pos/pow, algo switch. My vision of Groestlcoin is different: ultimate pow with 6% reward decrease per week, forks only when absolutely necessary. I've got GRS community support on this. Also, I'm more interested in research around mining on different devices and in web browser than changes to the wallet.

Thanks for understanding and good luck.

I really hope we can do some partnership with our coins.

I decided to share my BAMT setup for GRS mining. For those, who don't know, BAMT is a very simle plug'n'play Linux distribution which is tailored to do only one thing: mine Scrypt coins. It also boots from 4GB+ flash drive, so you don't need to do any setup, just boot and mine. See https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=2924.0

Somehow, I could not get my R9 290 to perform as good in Windows 7. I tried 13.11 and 13.12 drivers. It could only achieve 8.5MHS. With BAMT I go as far as 9.8MHS.

Tested on BAMT 1.3 with Sapphire R9 290 TriX and Gigabyte R9 270X.
Here are the steps:

0. Download precompiled sph-sgminer from https://mega.co.nz/#!5F5kFLAR!tTDIYnsIL4NyBhe4A7nK63S9FREhCkmkSpsih64pIRM.
1. Bamt control \ stop mining sessions.
2. Accessories \ File Manager, browse to /opt/miners/ folder.
3. Rename existing "cgminer" folder to cgminerscrypt.
4. Copy contents of my ZIP file to "cgminer" folder.
5. Step inside the cgminer folder, locate "cgminer" file, right click it.
6. Switch to "Permissions" tab and turn on "Make the file executable".
7. Now go to /etc/bamt/ folder.
8. Backup your existing cgminer.conf to cgminerscrypt.conf.
9. Make cgminer.conf similar to something like this (Use recommended settings for your card, see https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Atmcd1XbwbURdFVhT0w5RXdvcUdKdXVQVUt1blZZSHc#gid=0, this config is for "R9 270X, R9 290, R9 290"):

],

"kernel" : "groestlcoin",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"scan-time": "1",
"expiry" : "5",
"queue" : "16"
}

10. Finally, do Bamt control \ start mining sessions.

Note: sph-sgminer webpage https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0 recommends 4 threads, but somehow this results in dropping hash rate in approx 10 minutes. This happens only in Linux, in Windows it's all ok with 4 threads. So if you have similar problems, try 1 thread.

PS: Use the lowest possible RAM frequency (which is 150Mhz for my R9 290 and 1075 for my R9 270X), high memory frequencies are not needed for GROESTL.

Update: BAMT 1.6.2 is now available. However, it includes sph-sgminer that cannot do Groestl.
So you still need to patch it.

Easiest is just to follow the steps above. Or you can just update sphsgminer in bamt. In this case, rename the executable from my zip from cgminer to sgminer and make appropriate changes to bamt.conf.

If you need more info - please post to this thread and I will reply

I'm running the upgraded bamt 1.6 with SRC XXX's miner patch as per the GRS instructions for getting bamt to work to mine. I am running two Sapphire HD7950's. When I run it, the pool does not connect even though the miner is hashing away. As I understand it, the difficulty is set too high or I am not doing something right here. Below is my cgminer.conf file. Anyone who gets this working immediately earns 0.01btc:
