Hi all, As you all know there are now 3 developers: gruve_p, srcxxx and Mindfox. gruve_p: I am preparing to get another dev (Savale) on board, so we will be with 4 developers. We are awaiting his terms. I saw that srcxxx has promised the community a p2pool. Unfortunately the person who was trying to make, let srcxxx down. I have asked a very known p2pool coder (dstorm) to create it for us as and the p2pool is ready (we have tested it on testnet and are testing it now mainnet). We will release it together with the PoW/PoS hybrid hardfork. My friend Mogonzo (from chunkypools) has committed to us to create a multipool (sha-256, scrypt and x11) for us if we have many miners interested. Please let us know here. No response is no multipool. srcxxx: I have asked srcxxx to concentrate more on what he likes to do: coding. You won't be seeing him much active on forums except when needed. Right now he is busy to optimize our grs-sgminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652849. After this he will be concentrating on creating a profit switching multipool (groestl based) for us. Mindfox: He is a very old friend of mine and one of the most trusted developers out there! I am very proud to have him onboard as he is considered one of the big brains in crypto's. At the moment Mindfox has no time to work full time with us that's why we agreed to work on a project basis. He is the dev of Clean Water coin and whitecoin. He also works on project basis for Cryptcoin. Project 1: Mindfox is the leading dev to the PoW/PoS hybrid transaction. In order to get to PoW/PoS hybrid we need to hardfork again, which was planned at block 150.000. Due to personal circumstances (and accusations by the Cryptcoin community) he has no time to start on this. This means that we would have to delay the PoW/PoS hardfork with a week. If you have any questions regarding the PoS (min agestake, max age stake, annual interest) feel free to ask him as he is the one deciding what would the best. As a bonus for the delay he promised us to give Advanced Coin control in the wallet. And if he really has a good day, perhaps we can get a much more sexier wallet. Project 2: Mindfox is also the leading dev of decentralized anon (not the centralized masternode anon but real p2p anon) called groestlsend. After he finishes the anon on Cryptcoin, he will hopefully start groestlsend. I have asked Mindfox to officially introduce himself here and give us an update on this upcoming hardfork (what new block we will hardfork and what we can expect). After the poW/PoS hardfork I have asked a team of marketers to help us get accepted to several sites. And they are eager to start with it. Rest assured, we will give updates on a more frequent basis. Im long holding more and more GRS, I'm not into a lot of alcoins but I have seen potential in it since day 1, I believe the coin will get the recognition it deserves from the market and community at large when the latest modification and the great work of the dev team comes to fruition.
I totally agree with you! I'm holding my grs since the day I found grs But I think Groestlcoin needs much more promotion... it should be mentioned on cryptocoinnews and other sites. Then the worth will also raise

Since the end of May 2014 engaged in the mining and accumulation of this coins, because I think that at the moment is very underrated coin, especially in view of the plans of developers to introduce a new production system POS/POW and in the near future anonymous translation groestlsend. I hope that the developers have enough time and effort on the implementation of ihis features: thanks to this coin takes its rightful place as payment method.

I have recently stumbled upon Groestlcoin and the Groestl algorithm. I would be very interested in a multipool for sha256, x11, x13, scrypt.

rig trained on groestl. lovely coin. lovely algorithm. are we for pushing the envelope with an anon implementation?? also when does pos staking start? i have some coins but they do not appear to be staking nor does the wallet appear to have a feature for staking. i could be wrong. please advise. i'd like to pick up some more groestl but would like to see that the staking works first.

Hi all. Sorry for not posting all this time, but I currently have a project that takes most of my time and honestly I didn't have time even for my family Well, through this post, I would like to share my thought on how we're going to move from PoW only to hybrid PoW/PoS. First of all, after I finish the required changes in code and migrate the blockchain, I'll leave the wallet running for at least a couple of days just to make sure that everything is working as it is supposed to. When all tests are passed, an official mandatory upgrade release will be issued. Official nodes, exchanges, pools and other service providers will be the first to be notified so they to get the updated wallet code and have it compiled. The new wallet is going to disallow connection from old clients, so we avoid multiple forks, as previous version wallets will not be able to understand the new block structure and it's certain that they will fork. Feel free to post any comments or clarifications you may have/need.
