we can not rule out the fact that Mbappe is really have dream to be champions league title. he has felt he couldn't get it in club where don't have mental for that. the only way is to move and switch to another club like Madrid. But, how they were defeated by Rennes in the last match was really disappointing. Additionally, they were defeated 0 - 2 in their stadium, without any goal. Messi and Mbappe were also in the squad and they were not in their best performance I think. The loss really makes PSG learns so much more. PSG still remains the best club in the France league. They have dominated the league for a very long time and till today their height of achievement remains the same even with the arrival of the three duo.

I think maybe PSG underestimated Rennes too much so when they surprised PSG with 2 goals it made PSG even more frustrated playing so they couldn't make a comeback. yesterday's defeat was a mistake that might be corrected for the next match considering that PSG, who did not qualify in the UCL, should be able to focus more on Ligue 1 and pursue the Ligue 1 championship this season.

Maybe there is a point if Lens have to secure at least 1 point in this match because they are targeting to keep close to Marseille in the standings. But if Lens can get the full 3 points then it's actually very good they will shift Marseille's position. You have said it already that lenz has a better H2H record than Rennes.  Couple with that,  taking instances from other matches may also help to anyone such matches. Rennes may be able to defeat PSG but get humiliated by lenz just like it happens to Manchester united and Liverpool.
Lenz now will not afford to lose in a match like this judging from their closeness with Masseille. I know the book makers will pay little attention to Rennes current form but I won't give attention to those odds as I know Lenz seems much better to win this match.

Psg do not even have to put all their efforts into the Ligue 1 to win it, the other teams that can challenge them for the Ligue 1 title are very inconsistent, teams like Marseille, Lens and Monaco. Psg have been in poor form many times this season and if these teams were consistent, they should have taken the number 1 position from psg, but whenever the chance comes, they also start losing games. In some big matches, PSG got very good differences like 2 or 3 goals ahead but they collapsed very easily. Among big clubs in Champions League, last 10 years, PSG are the most victims of historic come-backs like with Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

If they have reputation like Real Madrid, opponents will easily give up if PSG led 2 or 3 goals. They don't have it now and they have to work to get it for their club in Champions League.

It is acceptable if they have a bit difficult in Ligue 1 but go far in Champions League. However reality is they failed in Champions League at the first knock-out phase, round of 16 so any excuse for their not good enough performance in Ligue 1 does not mean anything. It's unacceptable for their fans to exit Champions League at round of 16 and see their star players turn to be meeky sheeps in Champions League.

In the last two seasons, PSG did not repeat their successful season when they went to Champions League final and failed under hands of Bayern Munich. Three seasons later, they failed against Bayern but at round of 16. No revenge after all for PSG after 3 years.
