I agree that the poor defense and the aggressiveness of the players who are not good have made PSG fail from the Champions League this season.
But of course it will not negatively affect their chances in Ligue 1. PSG appear to dominate Ligue 1 with better quality players than many other teams, and a 10 point advantage over their rivals will take PSG closer to the title this season.

However, PSG must also focus on improving its defensive performance. As a big team that can always qualify for the Champions League, PSG must have a good stability of the team which will ultimately affect their chances. I always thought that lack of decent midfield was the main reason for their losses, both in the league and at UCL as well. Lets take a look at the midfield of the team that lost to Bayern, Nuno mendes at left (normally a wing back) fabian ruiz, veratti, vitinha, hakimi (once again wing back) and to be fair their defense is not the defense we all remember neither, not anyone aside from marquinhos, because it is a very old ramos plus perreira there too.

So, can we really say that this was a good midfield? Not even good defense but it's a horrible midfield if you ask me. In a game where they have world stars mbappe and messi at the front, not having anyone like that anywhere else is the real reason.

But IMO, PSG's defeat in the Champions League was not only the fault of the players. however, the strategy that Galtier employs. we see, since Marquinhos was replaced due to injury, PSG's defense line has started to experience problems. plus, what about when PSG was unable to get out of the pressing by the Bayern players. also, the times when Verratti was late to help out in defense and when he made blunders. Then, Bayern's first goal was created.

I have said many times, actually PSG has a decent line of defense. actually, they have enough experience. it's just that, they won't be able to work optimally if the midfielders play badly. yes, be it a pivot or an attacking midfielder owned by PSG. however, from my point of view, the implementation of the system that Galtier implemented was not effective. because, if he has a good system. whatever the formation, pattern, PSG players can still play optimally.

I believe Galtier is a smart coach. unfortunately, he always forced to change patterns and strategies every time his team went game by game. in fact, he always does it without exception. plus, rotating players. as a result, the team's performance dropped, it seemed difficult for his team to follow as Galtier wanted. so, yes, PSG is still PSG, in the end, it is only the Ligue 1 trophy that they are after.

That's right, PSG's playing style is very bad, they depend too much on their star players and I think Galtier didn't give a good strategy in that match. What's more, I also see that their midfield lacks creativity to help attack and if this continues into the next season, I think PSG will be knocked out again in the round of 16. For the current squad they are more suitable for Ligue 1 matches, but not for European competitions such as the Champions League.

I don't surprise because PSG don't have mentally champion league like other big club. PSG just filled a superstar player who suitable on ligue 1. Even have Messi and Neymar who have experience on champions league but PSG is just one a rich club who just stepped into Europe and just adapted like Manchester city next.

It's kind of strange to talk about the winning mentality of Messi when he's been criticized throughout his career for "disappearing" in the big games and those games when things don't go according to plan. PSG is certainly weak and not at the level of Real Madrid, Bayern and other tops, but with a successful draw, they could reach the semi-finals or even the final.
In general, it seems to me that soon we will see the restructuring of PSG, because this team is not capable of what is expected of it.

Irrespective of the top class players they signed recently, I don consider PSG a strong team in Europe. am not perturbed at seeing PSG performance in Europa competitions. maybe They will make it someday, I believe. Reason I say PSG will make it some day is that there will come a time when they will be facing a different club in the round of 16 or nock out stage, cuz what I noticed in these past year's is that PSG always face Bayern in all champion league, and it is always unlucky for them. PSG as it stands is a team from a very weak league. irrespective of being a champion in their local league,  they can't make it in Europa competitions if they keep meeting clubs like Bayern Munich or any other top clubs from a stronger league in Europe

We know Lyon is a team we usually saw them in the top of the table racing for the title but they are not performing well like in their old days anymore and they lost many good players they had and we can't expect to see the same performance we saw from them in the previous season, this time have to face Nantes and they never lose a game against this before but there is still the possibility for them to lose this week.

To be honest, I wasn't surprised by their failure in the Champions League, because I saw that they weren't really ready to compete at a higher level like the Champions League. It may be true that they have a very promising squad filled with lots of star players, but that's no guarantee they will be successful in the competition. I admit they are a strong team, but they have to improve themselves again to be able to compete in a competition where many strong teams take part.

I think the fact that they definitely focused on UCL more than anything else was the thing that made this year more shocking. So much so that they fired pochettino and hired a new manager just because they wanted to focus on UCL and get the win there, and then they ended up losing to a Bayern team that is barely keeping bundesliga leadership, imagine facing a bigger team like City, Haaland would have destroyed that defense without a doubt.

Long story short, a 3-5-2 tactic against one of the best midfields in the world was a mistake, they failed to defend well and that is why their "it is 3-5-2 but also 5-3-2 at the same time" switch didn't work at all.

I don't think so because lyon last season they finished in 8th place, it's not a good record for them. this season the same thing has happened to Lyon where they are still not strong enough to compete in the top 4 because their squad depth is not too strong compared to the 2020/2021 season.

I have more doubts about Monaco this season, where they have lost several points in the last 5 matches they have played.  this makes their points closer to the 5th and 6th ranked teams. now if the situation doesn't improve in the upcoming matches I think Rennes will be able to match the points tally with Monaco.

He was even nearly making a hat-trick if it weren't for that nice save.

Although the condition is a little difficult after now the lens start to catch up with but in this case I still feel Marseille will still be able to maintain her position in runner up until the end of the season.

Both Lyon and Nantes teams are relatively underpowered. Still, Lyon is stronger than Nantes. Even then it is not right to say anything in advance because sometimes very strong teams are defeated by bad teams. But in all these matches the performance of both the teams is good. Things in Ligue 1 changed very fast. Just weeks ago, clubs in top of Ligue 1 were very closely with each other and it seems this season is more exciting but now with 10 points and bigger gaps, it is impossible for other clubs to catch PSG. Not yet talking about chances for those clubs to beat PSG and lift the trophy.

Marseille used to be one of the best teams in French football but I've not actually taken my time to look in to the clubs problems that's left them supplicating to remain in the top four as the best they can do for themselves as a team.

The distance of 10 points could have been caught if only Marseille could win consistently but what happened was the opposite, Marseille seemed to have run out of enthusiasm to compete for the Ligue 1 title this season and that made PSG even safer to defend the title. I think there was something wrong with Marseille in the last few matches and it seems like coach Igor Tudor can't change that which has made his players perform so badly so far.

Inconsistency is the key problem for Marseille as they failed to grab three points in league games which could have boosted them closer to PSG. While PSG dominates their home league, there isn't a very competitive fight for the Ligue One championship this year. Marseille was the lone rival for the Parisians, but it appears that they were unable to catch the men of Christophe Galtier. There is a significant 10 point difference between Marseille's 17W, 5D, and 5L in 27 games this season and PSG's 21W, 3D, and 3L. The indications are that PSG will win the title once more this season as this campaign draws to a close.

there may be improvement when meet reims, like you said, marseille aren't consistent on every match, sometime playing well but sometimes playing bad even they play in home. I just heard a coach just change a strategy to face reims, i don't know exactly, maybe they can get 3 points to reduce different point with PSG.
