Lens are going to have another try this weekend for taking back the lead. This time their opponent is Rennes and it is a home game... I can smell the victory for Lens! 

Not an easy game for sure. But do you remember what happened in their previous game? Lens got an early red card but still got a point. They performed quite well in that condition. Now with Endrick they are even stronger!

And it is very likely that he will take part in the victory over Nantes, as Lyon's chances are estimated at 1.76. Endrik's chances of making an assist or scoring a goal are estimated at 2.05, which, by the way, looks pretty good. Having scored a hat-trick, he hasn't scored more goals yet, maybe it's time for this game. He is an excellent striker and in a game where his club is the clear favorite, he should score points.

The competition is certainly tough, but i think it is much more difficult for Lens, who are certainly not the favourites to win at the moment. We know Paris Saint-Germain is one of the strongest teams in Europe, and even if they have some injuries, i don't think they will stop at anything.

Lens probably doesn't even care about winning the league title anymore, while it was definitely a good run, I think it was clear from the first week that they weren't expected to win the league, so even being this close to PSG is great for them. All they are probably caring about right now is not being third place, which they are still fighting to get away from and that would be great if they finish second place. That's a lot of money for a team like Lens, it would be a good profit for them.

Lens really need the money from being in second place on the table, and they will be more consistent. With that consistency, and if there is a bit of luck, they might end up being the champions of the league, we don’t know. All of this can come down to luck for them. I know PSG will not take it lightly with any other team like this in the league, but I hope Lens become more consistent than ever. They will be able to get what they deserve, because we all know they really did well by pulling off this performance this season.

Yeah fixed it sorry for that and thanks for making me realize it. It must have been a time that my mind was preoccupied with Lyon momentarily.

Just think about you have to fight players like Mbappe, Rodrygo and so on. Not easy to play regularly as a forward or winger there among those stars.

Since this league is a farmer league, there's no doubt that the team with the greatest chance of winning the league title is Paris Saint-Germain. When they don't get it in certain seasons, such as:

- AS Monaco won the title in the 2016/2017 season
- Lille won the title in the 2020/2021 season

That means Paris Saint-Germain isn't doing well, whether they have problems with the composition of the squad or internal club problems. Well, that's the only way for any other team to win the league title. Anyone want to argue about this? I don't think they should, because it's a fact.

The injuries and breaks did not seem to have done them so much and that is why they are still at the top of the table  and I believe  they will continue in that firm and end the season winning  the Ligue 1 title.

Lens successfully defeated Stade Rennais 3 goals to 1 just like you predicted and are not leading in the table. But they are just there temporarily, waiting for PSG to return to their rightful place. I don't agree with you that Lens have any hope of winning the league this season, they can't withstand the pressure  from PSG the moment the later perceive the threat of losing the league to a small team. Let them just enjoy the game and pay more attention to qualifying for champions league next season, that will keep them financially buoyant to bring in some new players next season when they can dream bigger.

PSG's dominance after the Qatari takeover has become difficult to break because they have sufficient financial resources to recruit players. Under Luis Enrique PSG has achieved a championship they never had before and the club's level has also improved in Europe, although this season PSG's performance in the Champions League is not as good as last season. Marseille just ended their journey in UEFA Champions League with mass disappointment as they lost a last position in top 24 in very last seconds when Benfica finalized their match result with Real Madrid as 4 - 2 and took over a position of Marseille. Returning to Ligue 1 and immediately facing with a strong PSG, in my opinion, Marseille won't likely be able to beat this strong opponent.

Marseille was playing just as badly last time when they beat PSG, they did play at home and for Marseille it's somewhat of a bigger advantage than for most but it's not that impossible to make a surprise again. PSG is not unbeatable and Marseille just as Monaco are teams that are full of surprises when you expect less of them.

Either way I have a feeling that by the time they meet in the direct match, it will be a bit too late for any major changge it would have been a different story if they had played now not in late April.

I quite agree with you that Lens doesn't care about winning the Ligue 1 title from PSG from the first week the Ligue 1 started because it would be mad for Lens to think about stopping PSG's reign after the success PSG had last season in all competitions, but I think since Lens is fighting PSG shoulder to shoulder for the Ligue 1 title at the moment, they will care to win the Ligue 1 title since they are still a threat for PSG. Lens won Rennes 3-1 with one man, and they are topping PSG by one point.

It was a well deserved victory for Lens who come from behind to win 3:1 against Stade Rennais to move back to the top of the table, for now Lens is at the top of the league pending the outcome of the PSG match but one thing you need to understand is that PSG is already feeling threatened because they have not witnessed the level they are being challenged this season since they started dominating in the league. Lens has gone from playing to qualify for the champions League to chasing the league title or PSG makes more mistakes don't be surprised to see Lens winning the league.

Lens is an unstoppable team, because my opinion they are already sitting at the top of the points table again after 21 rounds of play. To be honest, we are now seeing Lens have 49 points and Paris Saint-Germain have 48 points. In fact, they have been competing for this smallest number of points for several matches. Also, Lens crushed Rennes in their 21st round yesterday and they were able to secure a 3-0 win from that game, so I think this team is very focused on achieving full points. Marseille has pulled up a good stride this season. Beating PSG in the first leg and getting a draw at Paris is a good result. I saw it coming and PSG dropping point means Lens will enjoy another moment on the top again for some time again. Lens too did a good job by beating Rennes 3 goals to 1 and breaking the goal drought that has existed between the two teams and also bringing it to two wins in 6 meeting for Lens against Rennes. League 1 is becoming more competitive and it's good to see unlike when PSG made it a personal private title.

Coming from behind to beat Rennes is another good achievement even with red card. After Aguilar red card at the 56th minutes, I thought Rennes was going to draw the game but no, Lens scored again bringing it to a 3-1 win. PSG will need to work harder to be able to lift the title this season.

Strasbourg against Monaco felt like a test of bravery versus precision. Strasbourg tried to force themselves physically, while Monaco relied on sharper movement and technical quality. They defended with everything in them, but there were moments where Monaco’s quick combinations exposed small gaps. It wasn’t a steady domination IMO

 Despite the 3-1 dominating win against Monaco, Strasbourg’s biggest issue was turning possession into threat. They reached promising areas, but the final pass or finish were often misfired, making the pressure easily controlled and the attacking force incomplete. They showed courage by committing players forward, especially in the second half. It made the game more open but also increased the risk of being caught off guard by Monaco’s pace on the break.
