PSG's loss to Lyon yesterday might have come as a bit of a surprise, as PSG don't often lose points at home, but, in terms of their chances of defending the championship, they are still looking quite good.
Lens had their hard-earned win over Toulouse on Fri, and PSG's loss extends their hopes for dethroning PSG, as they are now only 1 point behind. PSG has one more game to play than Lens, and all their remaining games look fairly easy, except the direct clash with Lens scheduled for 13th May.
Things look a bit harder for Lens. Not only do they have to beat PSG, but they also have an away game against Lyon in the last round of the season, which won't be easy.

But it's good to see PSG still having some competition at this stage of the season. It's good for entertainment and for PSG themselves, as this forces them to play at their best and prevents them from getting too sloppy.

PSG’s loss to Lyon was quite surprising because they were unable to score more goals even though they had more big chances in this match. PSG also dominated possession against Lyon in the first half and even in the second half. But PSG was unlucky because they lost Vitinha to injury in the first half. Vitinha should have been a key player for this match as he plays a vital role in linking PSG’s front line. And I’m sure that if he hadn’t been injured in this match then he could have at least helped PSG equalize or even win the game just as he did in their previous encounter against Lyon in the twelfth round of Ligue 1, where Vitinha was named man of the match and even played a pivotal role in PSG’s victory over Lyon despite playing at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

It seems like your statement makes sense that their Champions League encounter is a tough opponent for them to face, that's why Luis Enrique gave the core players to rest seeing that their points are still relatively safe in the domestic league, that's why Luis Enrique gave playing minutes to the second-string players, so at least Luis Enrique can experiment with the players with his reserve players.

That's not true, Luis Enrique didn't rest most of his starters most of them participated in the game but I guess they were affected by their last outing against Liverpool. Their next game in the champions League is a bit far he couldn't have risked an important game for a champions League game that will take up to a week rest before they play but fatigue could have affected their performance cause aside the two goals they conceded in the first half their overall performance wasn't good enough.

For once I was like "Haven't they just played in the league?".    But yes, you are right. They are playing in the cup semi finals too! Lens are already qualifying for the CL clearly...

But a trophy is still a trophy for them. They aren't a team having such achievements often. This is why I expect them to fight hard. But the only thing making me have second thoughts is their being incapable until their opponent got a red card in the last match.

Considering the form Lens have been on since the start of the season, I think it's very safe to say that they'll definitely win that French Cup semi final game against Toulouse that'll kickoff in less than hour from now.  Lens rightly deserve to win a trophy this season for their consistency. The sad thing now is most of their top players will likely leave at the end of the season to bigger European teams who will definitely come calling.

It is very surprising that all three semi-finalists in the UEFA Champions League have lost their last matches,I actually noticed that among the teams that reached the semi-finals of the 2025/26 UCL season, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and PSG lost their matches, maybe it's a coincidence. Anyway Paris Saint-Germain lost 2-1 to Olympique Lyonnais yesterday, leaving them just 1 point ahead of their nearest rivals so my guess is that Lens can easily overtake PSG by winning a match at any time. I think Paris Saint-Germain were very smart in fielding their second-tier team against Olympique Lyonnais in their own domestic league maybe this team will use their reliable and perfectly skilled players in the Champions League semi-finals against Bayern Munich.

They lost alright but if you check the fixtures that they all played the games were not easy at all and they were all against big sides and it was an open match and anyone could have won so that's why am not surprised at all because Bayern Munich which is the other semi finalist won their game and they played exquisitely and even scored up to four goals but the other teams they are faced up with difficult games but hopefully they get to channel the lose to something good when they meet in the champions league.

Look, they may have lost their domestic league matches, where they may have had easy opponents but when they try to turn that loss into something better in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League semi-finals, i think these teams will have to face a lot more obstacles. In fact, the semi-finalists of the Champions League will be trying their best in the upcoming matches. Arsenal may have lost to a traditional big team in their Premier League but you see ATM and PSG have lost even when facing a relatively weaker team.

At this moment we can say that the only way for these teams to show great artistry in the upcoming Champions League matches is to field their most experienced and best players. You are right that Bayern Munich is the only one of the four semi-finalists who has won and has been able to maintain their consistency so it's seems to me with this strength, this team will be ready to defeat PSG in the UCL semi-finals.

I hope they win again this time as they did in the first leg because I was surprised when this same Nantes held PSG to a draw both home and away last season; and now PSG needs the points to widen the points difference between them and Lens, as we have seen how serious Lens is playing this season, they are trying their best to make sure they keep the pressure on with PSG so that any opportunity that might come will be used by them to take the lead which if they had the opportunity they will definitely win the league because they have started so well and have maintained consistently for a while, so they deserve to be paid attention to.

PSG can’t lose two league matches in a row, I don’t see it happening. The Lyon loss came as a surprise and tomorrow they are going to make amends. But deep down I really want them to again so that Lens will stand a better chance of winning the league. Not that I hate PSG but I’m just tired of them winning the league every year. They should allow other club lift the title, it’s been a long time we have seen any other club come this close to winning the league. PSG should focus on champions league that’s what they are supposed to win and not league title again this season.

PSG are in good form and have a chance to qualify for the final. All four teams that have qualified for the  semi-finals are strong  and each one has the potential to be the champion.

What's happening with PSG is worrying, isn't it? Luis Enrique suffered a painful defeat against Lyon, where Endrick scored his goal. Playing at home against a team like Nantes in their current situation, this is a must-win if they are serious about the title. After that loss to Lyon, they need to respond strongly and show their quality. With Nantes already struggling and basically down, PSG should control the game from start to finish. The difference in quality is clear, so it is more about how focused PSG are on the day. If they start well and take their chances early, the game could be comfortable. But if they become careless or waste opportunities, it might drag longer than expected. Still, anything less than a win would be a big disappointment.

Lens have comfortably defeated Toulouse 4-1 today in the semi-final of the Coupe de France (or French Cup if you prefer).
Both teams have already clashed last Fri. Lens have also won that game, but both of them went completely differently. On Fri Toulouse stunned Lens with two fast goals but then, from the 17th minute, lost a player to a red card and were forced to park the bus and focus entirely on defence. They were holding up for quite a long time, but Lens eventually got what they wanted.
Today we had no red cards on either side and Lens were the ones to score the first two goals early. I guess Lens have learned their lesson fast and have made tweaks that brought the results. If they fail to snatch the league championship away from PSG, they at least have a chance for another trophy.

In the other semi-final match, Strasbourg is playing against Nice tomorrow evening.

I'm very surprised by PSG's defeat against Lyon in such an important game. PSG were playing at home and I expected them to win, but they conceded two goals and struggled to score and at least draw the game. In the end, PSG only managed to score one goal and the game ended in defeat. It's a terrible season for PSG in Ligue 1, unlike in the past when they would already be celebrating the title. This season they are still fighting for the title and praying not to lose their next games and that Lens doesn't win theirs. I lost my bet thanks to this PSG defeat.

Olympique Lyonnais football team performance was great against Paris Saint-Germain F.C. football team because they did 2 goals in this match and their effort was great in this match. The possession percentage of that team was very low in this match and passes were less of that team but that team was Winner of this match. The shots of Paris Saint-Germain F.C. football team were 19 in this match and 5 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was great in this match.  Endrick was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 6 minutes of the match which means that Goal was at the start and we saw more goals of the match and Moreira did second goal at 18 which made match for that team.

The Ligue 1 title is one which they can always come back to finish and so for now, they will have to face that which needs their attention the most, which is the champions league. The rotation Enrique did against lyon is one which I believe he is not regretting at all, because he knows how he can be able to come back to get that fixed after he should have played his next champions league fixture.

Instead they have to be very careful in the championship too, they have to understand that they can no longer underestimate any match, in fact they also have to be very careful about the lens that is coming under them and is trying to win this championship and they won't stop until the end, furthermore i think they are not in very good shape.

I hope Enrique won’t try again today to do what he did in the match against Lyon, when he attempted to win with minimal effort. Lens beat Toulouse and are now just one point behind PSG. Even though PSG still have a game in hand, which they will play today, I don’t think Enrique will want to lose it or even settle for a draw. They need a win. Moreover, the opponent isn’t strong enough to justify dropping points in this match. So I think Enrique will go with his main lineup today and secure a confident victory to gain an advantage over Lens and feel comfortable in Ligue 1.

Psg lost to Lyon was as a result of the stress from the Liverpool match in the champions league. The players were stress and didn't have enough time to rest before playing against Lyon.  PSG dominated the game which implies the players are in form, they will likely perform well against Nantes in their next game and against Bayern Munich in the champions league. PSG defeats to Lyon at home didn't affect their spot at the top of the table, they are still leading lens with point one difference. So I am optimistic that they can win the ligue 1 despite losing to Lyon at home.

In short, claiming that they didn't influence me seems difficult to agree with you, PSG and the Lens are only 1 point apart, this means that PSG cannot officially be said to be the winner, they are still in a risky zone.
They're playing better in the Champions League, do you think that's really the problem? The tiredness and stress of the previous game?

I don’t trust PSG at this moment and it will be a good decision for anyone who wants to bet on them to avoid them, after that disappointing performance against Lyon PSG can not be trusted, Luis Enrique sometimes make a lineup that no one understand and i think it is because League One is allowing them to win the league no matter how poor they are is the reason why they don’t care about winning some games, although PSG have some injuries and in the game against Lyon Vitinha was take off because of injury but i don’t think the injury is serious.

PSG is doing everything to rest their players for the coming Champions League game against Bayern Munich, they have shifted many game of their games in the league because of the Champions League and because they can not do that again is the reason why they are resting some players and said he was injured, the reason why i am doubting the injuries is because they have not announce the injury to the public that the players are injured.
