How to make old people understand Bitcoin?

My parents understood this quite well, although they do not understand the technology, but they understood the essence and what its purpose is.

If you ask how to explain Bitcoin to old people, I will share my experience. I have parents who are not young anymore, in the beginning I explained Bitcoin to them in 2017. My point is motivation comes from inside. I would think Many 71 years can't learn BTC just like many 71 year old can't do what she did in 2 years.

Old people cannot easily understand new technology, so you have to work hard to carry out what you are aiming for. I think it's better to start the approach first, you know old people prefer the taste, so if old people think you are a good person then they will listen to what you say. followed by a simulation of use, exemplifying the use of bitcoin, old people find it difficult to remember the theory so take a trial approach. Then that's how you work hard to do it over and over until the old people understand how bitcoin works.

I think the Bitcoin community should build Webinars and training center's where they could learn and practive the deep universe of Bitcoin and other altcoins. Teaching them step by step and move to more advanced complicated lessons.
Teach them the essential of Cryptocurrency asset and how its much safer than putting money into banks.

Nope, bitcoin discussion is not easy to understand especially the average user. But, of course it will depend on the interest and the motivation that one has to learn. The best example to learn in the forum is to include earning or profit that one could get for free without having capital. The forum is the medium to it for learning because of wide information being desiminated here. Another thing that one could learn is a one on one learning or group discussions of informal or informal class depending on the one who organized the learning process. Laymans term is very useful for this kind of activity introducing bitcoin or cryptocurrency for the newbie of this field.

Btw why do you think that it's hard to explain to elder people? Well, you can't make them to download electrum and save keys, seeds and etc and to be fair it doesn't worth to risk that much because in older age, memory is getting worse and you know, your bitcoins once gone/lost, gone/lost forever. On another hand, you can kindly explain that it digital money. Like they have card to get their pension from ATM, that money is on cumputer and they withdraw it via atm and after that there is zero on computer and same applies to bitcoin but it's a little bit different system, more likely encryption. You can search transactions like you can search telephone numbers in book (in past there was such thing so elders will understand). That's all, plain and simple.

They will surely believe there is money in bitcoin or crypto.
That's how I believe that there's something in crypto a long way back in my crypto life.
Someone close to me sent few bucks in my bank account via local crypto exchange.
And at that time, only few banks were accepting money transfer from a local crypto exchange.
That's when I started to look into crypto and using faucets to earn satoshis, and they were generous at the time because of course the value was still low.

Why do they need to know how exactly those technologies or devices work? If user interface is convinient and easy to master and use, that is enough for most users. Adoption of any technology will grow only if it is easy to understand and operate. Bitcoin has this problem too, it is still a technology that require additional skills, knowledge, experience, etc. It is not yet suitable for older people, because they barely want to educate themselves, only few do. When elder people ask you how to buy a cup of coffee with bitcoin, what will you say? First of all, you need to setup a full node in order to validate own transactions and then connect your mobile wallet... sounds ridiculous. It is too early to explain that to old people, because it is complicated. It is complicated due to immaturity of technology and poor user interfaces.

everyday things work, many don't show any wish to learn more, to educate themselves, it's like they are satisfied with
what they know. These people will never understand crypto-currencies, if they join they will learn how to set up a wallet

It would be difficult to teach the specifics of bitcoin or cryptocurrency to the elderly since most of them are not well versed in technology. They just need to learn the concept, how it works, how to secure, spend, and transact. People easily adjust to things that are massively used, the same as how we learned how to use the internet. Not all of us are into tech, but as it becomes a part of our daily lives it will be easily absorbed and adopted.

Elderly people in general do not want to use modern technology, their technical knowledge is very low. I agree with you that their peers should understand them with complete knowledge of technology. Besides, they can be explained about making money from here.
