We really do need a win, brother. Villa’s goalkeeper Martinez is still in Argentina partying somewhere so that’s good for us. Their number 2 goalkeeper is nowhere near as good as Martinez. We’ve been average most of the season but I really hope the World Cup break has helped us & we can go up a couple of gears now.

To be honest, he's quite an average goalkeeper - he's having a mediocre season in Aston Villa and other than penalty shootouts, he also had a mediocre World Cup.

He's a much better option than Robin Olsen though, so I agree it's good that he's not playing.

As far as I know, Villa is also without Diego Carlos and Kamara, and they will miss them more.

Tomorrow, Liverpool has to play a match with Aston Villa, I see that a lot of players Liverpool will miss out this game, to the injured that missed the match with City: Firmino, Jota and Diaz Louis, Milner will also join, it's significant losses. Liverpool passes goals in almost every match, this match should not be an exception, but Liverpool are good in attack so both teams will score.

There more than 7 people may miss the match, 5 players will definitely miss the match against Aston Villa due to injuries, and Oxlade-Chempebrlain and Alexander-Arnold theoretically still have a chance to play, but that's if they recover from illness.
It is unclear how Liverpool will win. Liverpool lost their last 3 matches and probably risk losing another one. It is not clear who will pass and score. It's good that Van Dijk will play and maybe not concede too much, but Gomez raises questions as to why he plays in the starting lineup, it's not clear, there's like a good Phillips.
In general, the match for Liverpool will be very difficult.   

It would be a shame if Liverpool couldn't get points in this match because of course it would be even more difficult to catch up, but considering the number of injured players can also have a negative impact on the final result of this match. Because Liverpool have also been very bad so far this season when playing away, moreover the home team is experiencing an increase in performance with their new coach Unai Emery.
Therefore, I personally am also not entirely sure that Liverpool will win, but if Liverpool can play well then of course getting one point can still happen.

Liverpool running speed must be increased to return to the top four, Klopp will not repeat the same mistake as when he lost to Manchester City in the EFL Cup. The material the players have must give good performance when playing games away at Villa Park, a win will give confidence to Liverpool players. Klopp's squad is enough to help Liverpool get an additional three points in the first match after the break, I really want to see Liverpool return to winning ways in the EPL.

They should be able to get full points in this match to make them more confident in wading through the remaining matches that are currently available even though boxing day is sometimes a little difficult because the schedule is very busy for teams in the EPL.
On the other hand, there are now 2 names that are confirmed to be absent, namely Firmino and Milner. Actually, for Firmino, he has recovered, but Klopp doesn't want to force this player to maintain his body condition. Also, it seems that Milner, who has suffered a hamstring injury, seems to have to miss several matches with Liverpool.

Liverpool should still have enough depth and quality to be considered favorites to win tomorrow. Only Diaz is a first-11 player, so there are no excuses.

Lol. Martinez is still partying and maybe that's good luck on Liverpool's side, and I wish they exploit it. Lately, Liverpool has 3 wins from 8 matches and that isn't a good condition for them. I wish they could secure a winning against Aston villa to build their confidence in subsequent matches. My only worry is that a few important players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Arthur Melo, Luis Diaz, and Roberto Firmino, are currently not in a good physical state, I pray Klopp has a better plan.

Except the teams in Top Four loose the form they started in this season, I don't see this season as the season for Liverpool to even finish top four. If Liverpool gains consistency in their results and other teams are also consistent, the effort of Liverpool will still mean nothing. I am excited about the boxing day fixtures, good to have the EPL back! Rooting for Arsenal like I have always did, looking to see how we will manage without Gabriel Jesus until we are able to get Mudryk in January to take Martinelli to the forward. I believe that we will still win against West Ham.

I still think that Arsenal will look for other alternatives now even though Nketiah is still there.
He does sometimes play very well when given the chance but on the other hand just hoping for him is a little difficult I think so it would be great if there were additional strikers there. Currently there are several names that are actually associated with Arsenal, but until now there is still no clarity.

Nketiah should just be given sometime to develop his forward skills and convert assists to goals. Goal scoring is the primary assignment of a forward player but it not always easy sending the ball into the net and it happens when the player is played by the coach as a substitute player. Even if Arteta will find a replacement in the Summer transfer window he can still build up with  Nketiah while he work on making his new signings.

I think Arteta will pay attention to this but on the other hand only relying on Nketiah for 3 months Gabriel is injured obviously not a good choice so indeed they still need to bring at least one striker in this transfer even though Nketiah will be a priority but still he must also be there replacement so that he is not overly portioned especially with a very busy schedule I think they should make several options in substitutions so that they are not too tired.

Manchester City's losing to Brentford has helped Arsenal get more comfortable in the lead. However I believe Manchester City will be making up for this loss by a good win against Leeds. Because Leeds are already one of the teams being quite weak at defending. I don't think they stand much chance in this match. Haaland seems to be hungry for goals and wins as we understood this from his effort against Liverpool in the EFL Cup match. The team effort was also impressive there.

After this match they don't have an easy fixture though. Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are going to be their next opponents respectively. It will be really challenging for them to play three big matches in a row but we will see how good they will deal with them. If they collect 9 points still then Arsenal can start worrying about them more.

Messi stays at PSG for a maximum of another year, Mbappe  may leave in the summer (although Real Madrid pretends that they are no longer interested in this transition, but this may be only part of the bargaining to strengthen their position and weaken Mbappe), Neymar will not leave, but PSG would like to he left. I think Rashford's position in such conditions will be very strong, and in general it is difficult for me to imagine that PSG will pay a million a week to a player who will come on as a substitute, and not be a first-team player.

Now situation in PSG and Manchester United is very interesting because we have few things which need to be clarified for the future of Messi and Mbappé here in PSG as I read in early weeks of this season PSG management feels if they not win Champions League then most chances they will sell club so if this happens then surely we will have too many changes and things could be not favourable for these big stars as well so now foremost we have to wait for the end of this season after this Rashford and Mbappé saga could be clear right now most chances we will be not had any change with if Messi agree to extend his contract then surely they will try to keep Mbappé and try to win Champions League otherwise most of the star players have to check for their next clubs as well.

Tomorrow we will finally start the competition again. It is a special situation, we have had a winter break, but not because of the organization of the World Cup. I don't know to what extent tomorrow's players will be affected by the winter break. We are also watching Liverpool closely to see if they can put in a good performance this time. And what about Newcastle United holding 3rd place? Erik ten Hag will not be sent away from United for the time being, but his results will have to improve. Then with less beautiful football, but you have to qualify for the Cl through the competition anyway.

A win for Liverpool is a must to stay in the competition, but a draw or loss will make life hard for Liverpool. The absence of Martinez is a plus point for them but I really doubt they take the whole three points from the game. All the players are in vacation mood, remember this is their first match after six long weeks.

For the chance to finish in the top 4, Liverpool's chances are still wide open, but back to themselves, if they are able to show something even better then they will widen the opportunities of course while waiting for the team that is now entering. that place to slip up too in some of their matches.

Because they have looked just like that in the recent times of the league. They have made a big improvement in defense which has brought about a good streak for them. They conceded only 1 goal lately which is really amazing. We don't know if they will be able to keep the same motivation level by their first league match after the break. Their opponent is Newcastle which is one of the toughest challenges at the moment. But unless Leicester lose their focus I still believe that they can steal at least one point here.

Been busy and had missed some of the action but looking at who's 1st on the standing and a whole lot of mess that the Premier League has acquired, here are my picks for today's game,

Brentford FC VS Tottenham Hotspur FC

The stake odds for this game are 3.55 for Brentford, 3.70 for Draw, and 2.50 for Tottenham, Right now Aaron Hickey had an Ankle Injury, and could be back until the end of December, while Richarlison and Ryan Sessegnon have injuries and can not play also Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg is suspended, well even though Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg is suspended for me Tottenham still could win this,

Everton FC VS Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

The stake odds for this game are 2.38 for Everton, 3.30 for a draw, and 3.15 for Wolverhampton, right now Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan, and Andros Townsend can not play and have injuries, while Toti, Chiquinho, and Sasa Kalajdzic can not play and have injuries, and Diego Costa is suspended to participate on the game, for me this could be a close match but regarding those injured, I think I would go with Everton FC,

Crystal Palace FC VS Fulham FC

I won't really underrate the boys of Rodgers. Then I still feel like they have not well prepared for this second phase battle. When you look at the defence of Liecester you will understand that 3 notable persons are missing.
Even in the midfield you will understand that Maddison appearance is not also guaranteed. The major strong additions to the team are Ndidi and Teilemans.
We know how strong the Newcastle team is.
It will be an interesting match.

I haven't checked Liverpool news lately but I think their injured players must be recovered by now. If so, then I think Liverpool can bounce back and climb up the table. They are definitely a great squad and can easily beat Aston Villa at its current state. Liverpool should be targetting to atleast make it into top 4 and I think this is the perfect point to start climbing up the table. Hopefully there aren't any those moments where they are beaten by underdogs as it will drag them down further on the table.

Manchester City relies on collectivity in playing, so that all the players they have are quite developed and not a single player stands out. Pep Guardiola is a typical coach who likes to play tiki-taka and is able to mix the Premier League style of play that relies on speed, so many of Manchester City's new recruits adapted quickly. Not only Kevin De Bruyne, many other players also played an important role in every victory.

Leeds United is not a formidable opponent for Manchester City, because the quality of the players is far different from the strength that Manchester City has, but the Premier League is so competitive that if Manchester City let their guard down, Leeds United will punish them at the Elland Road stadium.

I stand with what you have said that Kelvin DE Bruyne is the most important player in Manchester city. It didn't start today, it started since 4 seasons ago.
Kelvin creates 80% of the chances that hands Haaland goals. Haaland himself acknowledged it.
Generally the team is balanced and should be able to win Leeds but I have long stopped to underrate any club in Epl no matter where their position is in EPL table.

Newscatle are now almost on top they made a good win in their previous clash and I am sure against Leicester it will also be a win again to keep the table close to Manchester City.
With odds of 2.22 it's still decent enough to own Newscatle, for me it's not enough to be a big risk.
