City now moves into the quarters and has a solid chance of winning the title this season. Liverpool now lost another chance at a trophy and this season looks like they wont win a single trophy

City love the Carabao cup, dont they! Thus i consider them the favorites for the title every season, and this one is definitely no different. I think Liverpool needed this win and to stay in this competition more than City because they are having a pretty bad season and have limited opportunities at winning trophies, thus hanging onto anyone at this point is pertinent.

Having said that, i'm just glad club football is back, and the EPL would begin in a couple of days, i can't wait to see how the EPL pans out this season, who will be crowned champions, who'll finish in the top four and those that would be relegated, it is definitely going to be an interesting next couple of months.

The bet are not that big here, only $10 for me is worth it for me to choose Liverpool.

I did the same but it seems City is still way better compared to Liverpool this season. Last year's Liverpool would probably win though but oh well, Im glad that I decided to put some decent amount on City as well on another sites so its all good for me. there are far more shots on target than Manchester City than Liverpool, even possession of the ball, Manchester City is superior. I think Manchester City deserved to win this match, even though they only won narrowly because Liverpool also played well from the start of the match to the end.

Well, Manchester city was the better team in the match against Liverpool. I think both on paper and on the pitch, Manchester City is better and they proved that point yet again with a win against their rivals Liverpool. It was a tightly contested game as both teams fought hard for the win. It seems to me that Manchester city brought out their big guns as it was clear they had every intentions of winning this game at all costs. Some credits goes to Liverpool as they played well and really fought to stay in the game but Manchester city wasn’t having any of that. Great game and a great win for Manchester City

Tottenham are going to have the opening game and their opponent is Brentford. Honestly I don't expect a very tough challenge for Tottenham. Because they haven't been dealing with big issues against smaller teams in the league so far. Brentford don't have a good record against them either. They have a really difficult job to defend Tottenham attackers.

Maybe Kane missed that penalty for England but he should get over it in not much time. He was already one of the good players in his national team. He would focus on his games in the Premier League and I expect him to score against Brentford as well. He is already the top scorer of his team.

Looking at Everton playing against the wolves, I have a bad feeling that Everton might lose against wolves. The Wolves were defeated by Arsenal in their last game before the world cup, so I have a feeling that they won't want to lose another game. Given that Everton has a 2.34 odd and the wolves have a 3.30, and the Wolves are tough when it comes to playing against anyone, and that west ham is an additional bonus for arsenal to use to count for extra points, with arsenal giving about 6 odd.

Even both the teams are on same level, but Wolves is at the bottom of league table as they fail to win any match from last five games and Everton is improving their performance which is good signal for them and their home performance is also much better than Wolves which is giving them some edge specially they have better defence even now their attack is not solid as they have few months back, but they are doing good job in defence and having better chance against Wolves for this match.

But, one thing is clear if Everton not able to win this match at home against them most chances we will watch another sack of manager as we have before break at Aston Villa now Lampard can also sack which could be not good for him and club.

It will not be that easy for Manchester City to replace Arsenal despite losing this match. WestHam is an opponent I think Arsenal can face easily, they have advantages in many ways than West Ham. Man City's defeat in the previous match certainly gave him a feeling of shock and also disappointment. That's why, I'm sure, Man City doesn't want to lose any more opportunities to keep getting closer to number 1 in the standings. What's more, Arsenal always plays well and wins consistently, so, if Man City often loses or is drawn, then this will not be good for them. They have Halland who is very strong, however, football is the work of a team that has to play solo and consistently everyone.

Premier League is eventually a very tough and exciting football league. We can see how tight the standings points, moreover among the club's number 2-4. This is risky enough if one of them are losing their chance and fail in the match. They may take over each other.

He should make improvements on how he uses the ball and spaces. If he stays fit, I can imagine how lethal the team will be if they have an opportunity to be in the top three in the championship.

I'm happy that Ten Tag Men defeated Burnley by a score of 2 goals to 0 to go to the quarterfinals. I was very delighted with their performance yesterday as they played some excellent football. Ten Tag had the good judgment to use Casemiro as a central defender. He did well, too.

After his outstanding performance in the world cup, Rashford was on fire yesterday. But he's inconsistent, and that worries me about him. Although he is a terrific player, he must be at the top of his game.

I believe the previous coaches never really understood what the club was and whom to buy, but in ETH case he actually spend lot's of time studying the club and then finally agreed to come onboard on his terms. The defeat to Brentford really surprised me, of course that's because in my opinion Manchester City deserved more to win that match. Manchester City dominated the match but Brentford were very lucky as their winning goal came in injury time 90+8. Even a draw doesn't look very good, but that's how it ends.

But I don't think Manchester City will lose more points in the next match, even now Manchester City has had an impressive performance when they beat Girona in a friendly match and beat Liverpool in the EFL Cup. Haaland and De Bruyne are unstoppable, they are absolutely stunning. Haaland continues to be able to maintain his performance, he has not stopped scoring goals so far he has even managed to score against Liverpool this time. Liverpool lost to Manchester City 3-2 in the EFL Cup, it was a great performance.
