But it looks like waiting for Arsenal to lose won't happen in the first few games when the season restarts. because Arsenal will have a big chance to win the game later in week 17. because the opponent is West Ham who is not very good this season. even West Ham has lost 9 times out of a total of 15 matches. so Arsenal could have returned to add full points. and what Manchester city can do is try not to lose their match against Leeds either because if they lose it will widen the point gap with Arsenal.

West Ham defense actually not so poor but seems they have a problem with their forward lines and 12 goals from 14 matches proven West Ham is the team with lack of productive and statistics showed from 5 recent meetings Arsenal has unbeatable records from West Ham so this might be easy match for Arsenal especially West Ham this season had poor performance although they were playing well at european competitions but seems West Ham failed to managed their performance in premier league and probably Arsenal will playing without Gabriel Jesus who got injured but it won't have any problem for them considering Arsenal have several players who can scoring goals with very well so 3 points probably will almost certain belongs to them

It looks like Leicester have returned very determinedly. Because they are currently playing an EFL Cup match against MK Dons and they are 3-0 ahead already while leaving 60 minutes behind. They started to pull themselves together in the Premier League recently also in fact. In the recent times they lost to only Manchester City. Rodgers has managed to find a way to fix the problems as it seems. They were really in a desperate condition before as they were under the threat of being relegated.

the season has long taken a break. several players defended the national team and now they have to rejoin the club. I guess that would make the feel of the game a bit different. although Arsenal would of course have the upper hand. but they can't underestimate the other team.

Manchester United really needs this player if they want to compete for any trophy this season, let alone the Premier League title. For the time being, I don't think the  club needs much work in midfielder currently because those players in the midfield are capable of carrying Manchester United to success this year, along with the defenders but currently they need striker support.

But my problem is now who is that striker that Manchester united will go for because I don't think strikers are much available  in the market due to that everyone will not like to release is sharp strikers in this January transfer window.

So far Manchester United have been successful in bringing in Antony, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, and several other transfers. The players I mentioned above have succeeded in convincing Ten Hag so far thanks to their performances, but on the other hand Ten Hag needs improvement in the midfield and striker positions.

Martial, who is actually in the position of the central forward, seems no longer good enough to be expected get great performances, so of course Manchester United must find solution for this position. Ten Hag tends use Rashford to play as center forward, but his main position is on the left wing. Ten Hag can force Rashford to stay at centre-forward, but Ten Hag will need to get the right players on left wing even though they often play Jadon Sancho there. Gakpo would be great to be priority, but let's see even if the probability is still quite high.

Apart from targeting the Champions League trophy, Pep Guardiola is still very focused on the EPL, being in second place under Arsenal with a difference of 5 points is not too bad for Manchester City. I think the winner of the Premier League this year will come as a shock to many of us. I know Man City has Haaland, the goal machine, but other clubs are working tirelessly too and new signings are coming in so this comeback is going to be a badass. I was very impressed with Saka's performance during the World Cup, and having Gabriel Jesus alongside has been a very nice combo for arsenal which has been a hedge for them to perform well in the premier league.

I have two favorite team to win Primer League between Manchester City and Liverpool after their consistency performance last season, but seems Liverpool have far away from tittle race and behind 15 points from Arsenal seems not possibility for winning Primer League tittle.

You have a more valid point than @topbitcoin who believes that Man City still has a high chance of winning the EPL this season. I do not see that happening if Arsenal continues to play the way it did before the world cup. Arsenal has only lost a single match and drawn one this season, but City has lost and drawn twice. Also, having clear 5 points against Man City should speak some facts too, and I will always support Arsenal to lift the trophy this season because they are spectacular and have done the major work already.

I only hope that the post-WorldCup performance will be nice.

Between 2000 and 2015 you made mentioned, I think the opposite happens in EPL. While agreeing that some other leagues have few competitions between teams, EPL hasn't been too different from others. Over that span of seasons, Manchester United has won 7 EPL trophies under the management of Alex Ferguson while Manchester City has won 2 under the management of Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini, and 4 by Chelsea under the management of Jose Mourinho and Ancelotti in a total of 13 by just three teams, I think it is not as competitive as you said otherwise other teams would probably have their own share of the treasure in their gallery.

However, you are right about the 5 years ago of less competitiveness, only that period, Manchester City has been the only one carrying home the trophy except for Liverpool that overrules them in the 2019/2020 season, maybe Arsenal will break that record this season, only time will tell.

I am an Arsenal supporter, but the situation that happened to the Gunners made many people doubt it. moreover, one of their core players must be absent in the next few weeks. for sure, there will be a lot of big questions on the performance of the Gunners once the league resumes. only 5 points difference from Manchester City, not something that is difficult for them to overtake. after all, at this time besides Haaland as City's goal monster, Julian Alvarez's performance was also quite satisfactory when defending his Argentina national team. to be sure, the strength of Manchester City is very much feared by its opponents.

Consistent results over several seasons with City are directly related to very large funding, this will be the norm until someone appears who will invest even more money in another club, Newcastle can be an example. We all know Arsenal for inconsistency, Arsenal leading Manchester city with 5 points those not really mean, before you know Arsenal will start losing matches unnecessarily even clubs that we know Arsenal are better than, they will start losing. The problem is with UCL, first they lost on the final, then semi-finals, now they have Haaland and that means they have a chance to score easily and win it all. I am not saying they will win it, but they are really aiming at a perfect roster and so far it looks like they are great at every position and could end up with a great title run for UCL, so EPL will have to wait.
