In possession, Spurs were superior, but it looked like Brentford was making the most of every opportunity. Evidenced by 1 goal from Brentford, of course this made them even more eager to attack. We don't know for sure later in the second half, if Spurs can't change their attack strategy, it will be difficult for them to equalize or turn things around.

I don't think Spurs are the kind of team that enjoys possession. Conte's team in general don't play like that. They prefer to sit back a little bit ad hit their opponent on the counter. When they meet teams that play the same way and allow they hold possession it becomes a problem. They fought hard to come from behind and draw the match. It's their first league match after the world cup and they're lucky they didn't lose it but I really do not see the finishing among the top 4 this season. They're 4 points ahead of Man Utd while they've played 2 games more.

I was expecting an easy win from Tottenham today but so far Brentford are leading 1-0 after the first half. And at the moment it is completely fair, since Tottenham does not get anything in attack. I hope that Conte did a good job at half-time and they can turn the game around. I think Kane and Son can do it.

It is 2-o already I was expecting a tighter defense for Tottenham in the second half, but it seems it can't be tight enough to resist Brentford's attack. Spurs might have to resume the league with a loss to brentford because i don't see them turning the game around. Kane and Son will have to push harder because Brentford can be sturbbon when playing big teams.

Already 2-2 and still play 10 minutes. Will Tottenham be able to win a super-willed victory? By the way, after the last World Cup it will be quite unusual to see a small number of added minutes. Even taking into account the fact that this is the Premier League, it is unlikely that the referee in this game will add more than 5 minutes.

What a game by Tottenham but unfortunately for them they couldnt complete the come back. The game ended 2-2 with Tottenham coming from behind with a goal from Harry Kane and hojbjerg. The match was really an interesting game and the  additional time didn't matter because Brentford went back tying to defend for the last minutes and wouldn't want to end the game with a loss after being two goals up already. So the first official game of the premier league has not dissapointed and was filled with goals and i expect nothing less from the remaining games.

Not the wanted result from tottenham team but they did good  making a comeback after being behind 2 0 in the first hour of the game, they had a bad start and conceided a goal in the first fifteen minutes and they weren't able to threaten the brentford goalkeeper much and on the break it seems that conte was able to study the opponent and they managed to score two goals on the second half, now tottenham are at risk of loosing the fourth position to man united who have two games lesser than them.

Given that it is an away game and Newcastle are in excellent form, their dominance and two goals in the opening six minutes of play indicate that they are more than prepared for the competition's second round. Arsenal are good at maintaining a solid team performance. Jesus' absence is not good of course but they are accustomed to play without him indeed. There was a long time period that he didn't score even for once. But Arsenal still continued to defeat their opponents by having productive games as well. This is enough proof for the strong bond between the players.

Arsenal coach is doing a great job in this season, that made many people to believe that Arsenal will have something special to embrace in this premier league competition. Their performance has moved the team to first position in the premier league table that surprised many people, because last season they didn't come close to second position before the end of the tournament. I don't think, Arsenal need new players in this season, because their players are doing wonders in all their position to ensure they break record in this season to embrace the title.

After last season being pushed and promised to improve Arteta's performance really proved that. It can be said that these 2 seasons have performed very well and of course this is thanks to their hard work and the purchase of several players. They are now where they should be, especially if you see that their competition actually disappeared for several seasons and has returned.
Now they are doing very well and the development is amazing especially they still maintain the tradition with their young players.

I don’t think Manchester United would really feel the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo, I may not be his fan but honestly let’s face the truth, he isn’t at his best anymore and club coaches are looking to build a more long term goals than country team but Cristiano Ronaldo was still benched at Portugal.

I think he is in denial phase and all this are seemingly so strange to him, he has been on top level for far too long and he has lost the reality of being brought down to earth.

This is in the past and I don't think there is a need to talk about Ronaldo and Manchester United anymore now because this thing will never end and will even take several pages on it.
Manchester United are now focused on improving their attacking line and Ronaldo is focused on his personal training.
There was no need to link the two anymore because they were already on different paths.

Yeps Ronaldo is no longer part of the team so there is no need to consider it especially if he doesn't have much contribution this season
Manchester United must focus on the current players especially finding new players to replace Ronaldo, the transfer window is near the hunt for players will begin
The competition in the Top 4 is getting tougher, somehow Manchester United must be finished in the Champions League zone.

It would be funny to make this a constant topic of conversation as if only Ronaldo had left Manchester United. I think there is still a lot of other discussion about Manchester United even though Ronaldo's departure is quite crucial but on the other hand we also have to leave because it happened more than a month after he decided to leave and we have to realize that discussing this for too long is also not very good.

Its look like the Boxing Day special of the premier league is really heating up with alot of goals as we the first game of premiere league after the world cup filled with four goals and currently now the rest games that are playing have already started pumping goals as
-Newcastle are leading by two goals
-Brighton are leading by a goal
-everton game have seen two goals scored already with the currently drawing a goal a piece.

The game are just starting and we have already seen enough goals, hope the goals will just keep coming as goals make the games really interesting to watch

Newcastle just like a new team in this season. Another win again for newcastle which has been making this club looks so strong at the second position. Newcastle was able to compete for the second position with city. City may win in the next match and that will make city to go up again to the second position but leicester seems an easy opponent for newcastle. Two shots on goal and two goals happeened in the last match against leicester which was making newcastle has 100% accuracy for shots on target.
This is a very good result for newcastle and i can't wait another match to come for this club. Newcastle looks so strong right now. Will newcastle become a main competitor for city?

Talking about equalising, i don't think that would be possible again as Newcastle just added another goal to their lead making it three now. Tottenham were able to comeback on Brentford because even as they were loosing two they were ones in control of the game with the possession and attacks all counted for them but for the case of leicester they have been totally outplayed and over powered by the Newcastle boys. If they can follow the winning form and wonderful performance i think i can actually give a straight winning over Manchester City thats if the bookmakers give them a Nice odd i can flip my money into

The boxing day is turning to be a special one indeed. Spurs had a very difficult time due to an early first half and second half goal but, they managed to seek out a draw against Brentford and they got it. One notable problem on the Spurs side was them not being able to keep an eye on the  Brentford players running right from behind them. The Spurs defence line were more focused on the ball and allowed free touches to Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney from behind who converted the goal rather easily.
Spurs really needed to find H. Kane and that was made very difficult by the Brentford defence line who were there almost everytime to intercept the ball at every trier. A good cross from C. Lenglet to have been able to deliver that ball over to H. Kane and what a wonderful header it was into the far corner. Another well taken ball from Pierre Hojbjerg into the goal to give them there equaliser and they've got a point to keep them in the 4th place on the league table.

Party goals. Also Tottenham are amazing 2 goals left behind but they can make it the same with ended 2-2. I can't believe Newcastle is so good, them at not wasting chances and now leading at this time to be 0-3. It's really beyond expectations, Leicester showed a poor performance at home. Witth this victory, Newcastle succeeded to shifting Manchester City with 33 points for a while.

 what I am seeing from the performance of teams to day i haven't seen any changes in performance of team. They are all playing exactly the way they have been playing,  Arsenal might likely not have any change even if Gabriel Jesus will be absent in the game against West ham .

Newcastle United had a sensational start today. They won a penalty in the first minute of the match with Daniel Amartey's timing error and took the lead in the match. But then Almiron scored a great goal. It was like a practice goal. Almiron was so comfortable in that position that I don't know what to say. Leicester defenders were helpless against his slalom and his passing with his friends. Then came Joelinton's header goal, and they closed the first half with a clear lead. Newcastle United will be second in the league with this win. However, it should be reminded that they play more matches than their rivals. But no matter what, I think they will get the Champions League ticket this year. The excitement of the Premier League never diminished. I realized that today in this game.

Well, selling some of their important players at that time was a very fatal decision so that they could slump until now. But player transfers are something that cannot be avoided, especially if the offer that comes to the player is an offer with big money. Last season Leicester were still able to finish in 8th place in the EPL standings, but for this season it looks like they can't get the place they got last season.
