Arsenal will hope for Chelsea to prevent Manchester City from beating themselves tomorrow. Otherwise the point gap between Arsenal and Manchester City can become five again. The Newcastle match was pretty difficult for Arsenal and interestingly it ended up with a 0-0 draw. I would have expected to watch some goals there. Now this is a chance for Manchester City to catch up with them in the standings. They have made really simple point losses recently and they will need to put an end to this.

The Chelsea match is not too easy of course. But there is no Tuchel's Chelsea which are going to play against them in Stamford Bridge. There are still some problems on Chelsea's side so it feels like Manchester City will win here and Haaland can also score at least one goal.

It is an opportunity for City to reduce the gap between them and Arsenal again to 5 points once they win against Chelsea.
For Newcastle, they risk to become fourth since ManU still lacks 1 game and they share the same number of points.

Most chances we will have Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of league table until end of the season because both teams are doing good job and have enough quality for staying at these spots for remaining two spots now things are looking very interesting because Newcastle United is also at his best and lost just one match from their 18th games with Manchester United is also having same points, but they have one game in hand with Tottenham and Liverpool are also coming behind, but they needed more strength in their squad as things are very tight at the top of league table and quality is also very high which needs to be competed if any team wants to stay at the top here real test of Newcastle United how they will manage this all near the end of the season.

Right now, Nottingham and Wolves having amazing start of their matches because both teams were looking for some encouragement to came out of the relegation jail now things looking better if they are able to keep this momentum then surely we can expect good things for these both teams and Southampton surely going to feel pressure with West Ham and Everton all could be in deep trouble because next matches are also not good for these teams which allow them to have positive results and came out of the relegation zone.
 
Wolves are surely pressing their chances for the win in this game with Nottingham which is also at the half-time feel comfortable because they are at their best on this game for having better result.

Tottneham Hotspur have had a bad series, they will have to win a bit more if they seriously want to claim a high final ranking in this season. So far it doesn't seem that way. It was a disappointing result for Arsenal that they could not beat Newcastle at home. Those may not seem like a one-hit wonder, because not many teams can pull a draw out of the fire in London. Just think that Newcastle is still too volatile at the moment for the entire season.

Both teams have been at there best since this ohase of the league began especially for Tottenham, haven't drawn there first game and lost the second to Aston Villa. Crystal Palace on there part might have lost there first but they managed it to get 3 points from beating Bournemouth. Conte at this point needs a win for his team and this could be that cnace I'd only he could manage it.

A good first half for Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest haven't gotten a goal in the first half. Lets hope they could keep it up.

However, the first round of Aston Villa vs Wolves is still ongoing. And Wolves really can still maintain their dominance. and the score still hasn't changed 0-1 in favor of Wolves.

all the teams that are in the relegation zone are currently struggling and several teams like Wolves and Nottingham seem to be starting to show good results at this time.

We watched a very boring match. Very disappointed with Aston Villa's performance. They are not attacking. After conceding a goal in just 12 minutes, they trailed 1-0. If they still play a defensive strategy, they have no chance of winning this match. Two minutes left to end the first half. They have to change their match strategy in the second half.

Tottenham is under a lot of pressure today against Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace players are playing very well. And so Tottenham could not score a goal despite several attacks. I bet for Tottenham to win. But the match seems to be a draw.

On paper yes, even Newcastle have a chance for achieving the league championship this season. However I don't see it realistic for this season truthfully.

Because I believe they still need to strengthen the squad with big additions to the team. After doing so winning championships in this league won't be a dream for them anymore. Yes, this is like the most challenging league in Europe but this is still not hindering Newcastle from becoming the winner of the title permanently. If they qualify for the Champions League by the end of this season then it will be a huge support for them to convince top players to sign for them. They have no money issue in the end so they just need to have persuasiveness.

It seems that today Tottenham is disappointing again so far I haven't seen dangerous attack from them on the other hand, Crystal Palace little more dominating
Somewhat confused to see what happened to Tottenham, why Kane and Son seemed to lose creativity in the game their performance is getting worse
The match is not over but what we see in statistics is an indication that they have difficulty scoring goals from 5 shots only one on target  
The question is whether Tottenham implemented the wrong strategy? so bad streaks are unavoidable including today's match.

I expected them to terrorise Spurs and get some goal but they have done the damage yet they are not able to score. If care is not taken in the second half Crystal Palace is going to score against Tottenham

Tottenham definitely need a win right now. Things are getting worse for them by every week. Maybe Brentford game was really tough but they should have been able to benefit from home stadium advantage against Aston Villa. They couldn't even get a point in that game. Now Manchester United have left them behind in the standings and the current gap is even 5 points.

This is getting more alarming for Conte's Tottenham so I hope to see improved performances against C. Palace tonight. Maybe they are having problems in defense especially but they can still win by starting to be better at finishing.

Tottenham is trailing, which is unlike them from last season, they have performed poorly in their most recent matches, but Crystal Palace is the type of team that wouldn't be difficult for them to defeat. Perhaps today's match will be a catalyst for them to catch up with Manchester United, but in order for them to meet, they must each win at least two matches. However, simply by looking at the odds, it is clear that Manchester United will win due to their recent improvements and track record of consistently defeating Everton, Tottenham has lots of work to do in order to overcome all these obstacles else they risk going to the Europa League.

Overall they are still very good now from the start of the season until now but it is true that in the last 2 matches they have not gone well but the fact that they are still in the top 6 is of course still quite good.
Now their match has entered the second round and it seems that this is no different from the previous 2 matches. They are still very difficult to keep the rhythm of the game and this is not very good for them.

I was let down by Arsenal yesterday after picking them to win handily, but I tried to see how Newcastle was growing more powerful now that they would be paid twice for each victory. and arsenal actually did play them, but that is just football. Tottenham had just lost to Aston Villa, and now they are playing Crystal Palace with a record of just one goal, showing how fantastic everything is.

The first half of the game is in a balanced state in my opinion though Palace had better opportunities to score which were not utilized properly by them and Tottenham are having more control of the ball as it is clearly seen in the ball possession according to Livescore 45:55 I think we will see a different Tottenham in the second half because Kane is one player that does not misuse chances to score goals I expect a better performance from the Tottenham team and a win will keep their top four hope alive and I think they will end up winning the game regardless of pressure from the home team.

Harry Kane has shown why he is the hit man of Tottenham by bring him team 2 goals up even when they are not playing better football than their opponent.
This is not about possessions, it is about 3 points, 1 point or no point.
I now expect Zaha to step up his game and target the goal post and balance the game.

They played an effective game throughout the match but failed to score a goal.  Thus, Arsenal lost 2 points.  Still, Newcastle this year is very strong.  It is better to gain 1 point than to lose 6 points.  Now they have to focus on other matches.  They can beat Tottenham but I think they will lose to Manchester United.  In such a case, Manchester City may even have a chance to close the point gap and lead.

The match was more like defensive match else I don't see why they weren't able to score, not as if VAR or whatsoever reason voided their goals, their efforts never came through.


What I meant by statement wasn't Arsenal persay, I wanted them to get that 3 points by all means because so many people was so depending on them winning Newcastle, so many tickets were destroyed when everyone needed the most even though they ended up with a single point and they are still at the top of the table. With yesterday conclusion, I expect bookies to start increasing their odds for Arsenal in their next few matches atleast.

I think this is the only game this season that Arsenal have gone 90 minutes without scoring a goal. Newcastle were solid defensively and held Arsenal to a goaless draw at the Emirates stadium. I was wowed at the way Newcastle defended against Arsenal and how  much they have progressed this season. Hopefully we will take home positives and come back better in the next games against Aston Villa and Manchester United.

the Newcastle and Arsenal match was very tough, I enjoyed the game at night. Arsenal misses alot of chances same with Newcastle. At the end no side could score a goal. Am bringing to place Newcastle as title contender. They are so solid behind and  very difficult for any team to score.

It sure is if it wasn't for the great savings of Nick Pope during those games with Arsenal, and because we all know how huge of a team Arsenal is and they remained always on top of the Premier League, it was non-bar a great upset for the favorite to win team, and Newcastle have proven their worth and next match for Newcastle is Fulham on January 15, let's see if their draw against Arsenal is just dumb luck or not, and surely if this team can be given a great striker the combination could be deadly,

I think it's possible that Newcastle is deliberately making the defense stronger than before when playing at home to Arsenal. so at least if they can't score, Newcastle can make the score a draw.
Arsenal had the first chance in the first half but it failed. and after that there were still many opportunities to score goals against Newcastle but all in vain because Newcastle made a fortress in a very strong defense.


it seems very difficult for MU to shift Manchester city or Newcastle in the standings. but if in the next game MU vs Mancheste city and MU can beat him, chances are MU still has a chance to shift Newcastle. but it is very difficult.

Arsenal's other shots have failed not because of the defense but out of luck aswell and with the addition of Newcastle's defense and Nick Pope's great saves they surely had a hardtime making a dent in the defense of Newcastle, Arsenal is like making a dent to the wall of a castle, and they haven't made anything, the only thing that Newcastle need is a strong striker a goal machine by their side, to make that play worth while, because they have proven their defense is top notch but if they can not make a dent to the opponents wall aswell then they would end up always on a draw,

The Newcastle team is very tactical. They knew very well that Arsenal's attack was very strong. And if they play a self-seeking strategy against Arsenal, they have no chance of picking up points. And so Newcastle did not make any attempt to attack in this match. They kept their defense tight and countered Arsenal's attacks. However, several counter-attacks were made by Newcastle players. Newcastle could not have scored points against Arsenal if not for the tactics. I would say that Newcastle's coach has succeeded in this match.
