Why don't you understand why Pep Guardiola let Gundogan go because basically, Gundogan is 32 years old and also his contract has expired. Bruno Fernandes moans/complains quite a lot at his own players when things aren't going Manchester United's way, almost as if to pass off the blame to them and exonerate himself as the person giving his best to the team, i have seen him do that many times and i think it is a disgusting habit that leaves a lot to be desired.

I hope Fernandes works on his attitude now that he is captain, if he does not then he isn't a good captain imo. Having said that, i don't know if Maguire intends to remain in United, but if he does then it will confirm the fact that he's not an ambitious player and one that's just contented with being paid, it isn't just about him being stripped off the captaincy role, but the fact that the manager doesn't have him in his plans and he won't be getting any game-time next season, thus he shouldn't be comfortable with that.

I think Pep has his own reasons why Gundogan was allowed to go to Barcelona, I think Pep wants Gundogan to gain new experience at Barcelona and in the Spanish league, besides that Gundogan can also accompany Lewandowski at Barcelona, that will be a good strength this season, especially considering barcelona did not look good in UCL last season despite winning the league.
