Here is an overview provided and I think the only players who could have helped in the game against Bayern Munich would have been Shaw, Mount, Varane, Antony and maybe Sancho. But would they have really made the team better than they played yesterday? I think Manchester United played well and you can't do much against the penalty that was given against them and also the fail that Onana is responsible for, it's the dumb stuff that can happen during a game. But for the rest of the game I would say that it didn't look like key players were missing. So the impact of injured players on the game in the Champions League was rather minimal.

I just checked at least 6 players injured and 2 players on ban most of the injured players are in defensive positions maybe this is the reason why Manchester United always concedes in every match but fortunately there are still reserve players who can take over their positions 2 Left-Back players are injured and Sergio Reguilon could take over while Mason Mount's position can be replaced by Christian Eriksen. There are only a few obstacles in the Right Winger position because there are not many alternative players in this position.

Last season Ten Heg also experienced the same difficulties as this season. Although this season is much worse. And last season Ten Heg was able to revive the team's performance to the best performance the squad had at that time. I can see only a small improvement on its attacking line as manchester united has someone who can score. I don't even see if it's a setback for its defense and goal keeper. The defenders and goal keepers are still stuck at the same place without any improvemetns.
It's still pathetic to see how ten hag was not making a significant improvement in the defenders of manchester united especially. Everything ten hag did during the transfer season was not enough.

Ten Hag had a good performance in the last season when he joined Manchester United the last season while he didn't select the players for that season and the team had a negative atmosphere because of the bad results they got before. I was one of the persons who was defending the poor performance of André Onana but from the recent development, the Cameroonian needs to improve. The club will be regretting letting David de Gea leave because Onana is losing confidence and composure every day. In the match against Bayern Munich, he didn't prove himself to be a world class goalkeeper. He failed to save almost all the shots on target. If not for the goal post, Unites would have suffered more goals. The poor defending of Red Devils is also contributing to his poor performance. Man U don't just need only defenders,  the attackers are not as potent as it was before. We are not seeing much from Rashford and others.

Even if all of the players play the matches, what is going to occur will occurs so I don't think you can compare Bayern and Manchester United on the same level, I am confident Bayern will still defeat Manchester United at Trafford Manchester improved slightly in the Champions League group stage, but I don't expect them to score any goals Tah hag is trying for the team but he must find a solution for the midfielders.

The problem of the imbalance between Manchester United attack line and defense line is still not resolved, but that doesn't mean Erik ten Hag has no efforts to fix it.
