I can't even agree with your statement if de bruyne has only caused a little negative change for the club. De bruyne absent has been affecting the club a lot. Look at how big the contribution by him to thje manchester city since the previuos seasons.
De bruyne has been always contributing a lot in any season and he has been making so many assists and goals for manchester city even though people are always putting their focus into the haaland as a striker that was consistently scoring the goal for the club.
Haaland needs someone to support him. He can do nothing without de bruyne. Haaland's performance is not as good as last season.

Problems keep coming for Manchester United and now their defensive midfielder, Casemiro, is reportedly suffering from an ankle injury. Casemiro suffered an injury during the World Cup qualifying match between Brazil vs Venezuela and he was forced to continue playing until he finally experienced severe swelling before being replaced by another player. I think Casemiro is overreacting and if he was in pain he should have asked the trainer to replace him earlier. This was what happened to Bukayo Saka of Arsenal that have started every match for Arsenal, he needed to be benched in some unimportant matches but the coach didn’t do that which later caused them an injury when they needed him the most to play against Manchester City. If more players are not benched or rotated, more will still go to injury in their first XI squad.

It is a good salary before appearances of Saudi Arabian clubs and I am sure if Kroos wanted to join Saudi Professional League, he will get better salary, maybe in two digits. Kroos is a very good midfielder and he deserves a bigger salary than just £6.8M.

If Manchester City really hire this German palyer they can have the best option they can have for Gundogan. Because after Gundogan left the team, Manchester City couldn't find alternative players and now Toni Kross is experienced just like Gundogan to fill his palace if the middle of the field also hiring Kross can't be hard because he is not very happy in real MArid because of not having enough chances during this season, maybe even Rel AMdrid will release him easily for Manchester City in the next transfer window.

Yes, the greatness and progress of Manchester City as the strongest squad in the EPL certainly cannot be separated from the important role of a De Bruyne, I think everyone including Manchester City fans already know that he is indeed one of the great players there and also of course one of the key players in every match as well as those who have helped Guardiola's squad in winning the Treble Winner last season. And well the defeats in the last two matches are enough to make us doubt Manchester City a little, I will not blame their performance too much but it is quite clear that this situation can prove that De Bruyne's role is very important in every Manchester City match.

It makes sense, no matter how good Haaland is as we know he can always be a scoring monster but still it will not mean much if there is no one who is able to accompany him or provide some opportunities that he can use to become a goal. If Manchester City really hire this German palyer they can have the best option they can have for Gundogan.
