I can't even agree with your statement if de bruyne has only caused a little negative change for the club. De bruyne absent has been affecting the club a lot. Look at how big the contribution by him to thje manchester city since the previuos seasons.
De bruyne has been always contributing a lot in any season and he has been making so many assists and goals for manchester city even though people are always putting their focus into the haaland as a striker that was consistently scoring the goal for the club.
Haaland needs someone to support him. He can do nothing without de bruyne. Haaland's performance is not as good as last season.

If Manchester City really hire this German palyer they can have the best option they can have for Gundogan. Because after Gundogan left the team, Manchester City couldn't find alternative players and now Toni Kross is experienced just like Gundogan to fill his palace if the middle of the field also hiring Kross can't be hard because he is not very happy in real MArid because of not having enough chances during this season, maybe even Rel AMdrid will release him easily for Manchester City in the next transfer window.

Although this is a Merseyside Derby but obviously, that Liverpool and Everton have qualities that I think are much different. If Manchester City really hire this German palyer they can have the best option they can have for Gundogan. Because after Gundogan left the team, Manchester City couldn't find alternative players and now Toni Kross is experienced just like Gundogan to fill his palace if the middle of the field also hiring Kross can't be hard because he is not very happy in real MArid because of not having enough chances during this season, maybe even Rel AMdrid will release him easily for Manchester City in the next transfer window.
