Liverpool can never afford to lose such match and they delivered well and moved up to be just two points behind Arsenal, and gave Manchester City complete four points. This match was a test for Sheffield United’s new manager, he tried but unfortunately he is playing with a world class team that’s why he lose.

It should be an easy game against Sheffield United, they are the weakest team in EPL. I even think there should be more than 2 goals. But winning the game with 2 goals, makes Liverpool to stay in 2nd place at least. I don't know why Liverpool attackers seem difficult to score goals in this match. They didn't play against a strong team, it is Sheffield United.

For the new manager of Sheffield United, I think he already tried his best in this match.

Manchester City lose another match today, they are now six points behind Arsenal and four points behind Liverpool, and their manager Pep is already making mouth that his team still remains the best in the league and they will
Win the league which to me I think is a mind game, unfortunately his team lost to Aston Villa as expected by Arsenal fans and others.

It is interesting to see the stats of Man City in the last 4 matches. They never won a single match in the last 4 matches. There is something wrong with Man City players, do they lose their motivation to win EPL trophy this season? Even worse in the match against Aston Villa, they only made 2 shot attempts. To be honest, it is shameful. How can Man City play like a mediocre team? Pep Guardiola must do something to return the performance of Man City.

Manchester United also won their home game against the blues Chelsea.

The won the match with a great performance. I saw they made 28 shot attempts, means they play very offensively. Ten Hag seems to change a bit his tactic. He also put Rashford in the bench.

Everyone is talking about how Arsenal barely got away with a win, but if they somehow magically end up winners of the season, then nobody will remember this game, nobody would even question it. I do not know if something is going on behind the closed doors, but refs ended up preventing City to win the game on the last seconds, they ended up making them lose, and then they gave Arsenal extra time and making them win. I think if someone provided me a proof of refs or some betting mafia making sure that Arsenal gets the title this year, I wouldn't be shocked with that.

The whole world is expecting City to win, and I think if Arsenal wins then a lot of sportsbooks will make a lot of profit as well, so that could be one reason. I am not saying there is bribery or anything going on, all I am saying is that if something like that was provided as a proof to me, I would not be shocked to learn that, I already assume that's what's going on as of right now anyway.

I was not expecting to see this good performance from Luton in the game they had against Luton but the game was amazing and we saw seven goals in this match in which Arsenal won the game with a 4-3 result against Luton. Manchester City was hoping to see Luton win this match or at least they get a draw against Arsenal and give other teams like Tottenham and Manchester City more chances but Areta is not going to give up easily.

Well, finally Manchester United scored the second goal and won the match, McTominay deserves to be man of the match today after scoring 2 goals. On Chelsea side, this defeat will confirm Chelsea status as an unstable team where in each of the last 5 matches they will experience a win, draw and loss but yeah overall it's not bad because the one who beat them was another strong team starting with Newcastle and Manchester United today.

In another match, Aston Villa actually beat Manchester City even though previously we hoped that the two teams would play a draw and Liverpool and Arsenal clearly took advantage of Manchester City defeat they continued to leave Man City behind, Aston Villa unexpectedly managed to take 3rd place even though we know it's only temporary.

That Penalty was poorly taken by Bruno Fernandez otherwise, it'll would've been three goals to one tonight for Manchester United. There'll still room for improvements as I'm not excited. Good game but going harder and better against Bournemouth in couple days time.

Chelsea shared points with Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool won Tottenham Hotspur but couldn't win a declined Manchester United? Wonderful. Since 2018, Chelsea has failed to win against Manchester United anyways. Props to Manchester United team, they worked as a team today. ( Kinda enjoyed Amrabat and Antony tonight )

I never doubted the capability of Unai Emery's Aston Villa but I least expected them to beat the Citizens.. and to think that they literally called all the shots to the point that Man City lost control of what they were doing and were forced to defend.
I said it one of my posts that if Man City could find it difficult to beat a club that's struggling like Tottenham Hotspur and instead settled for a draw, what will be the case for Aston Villa who are very fit and this is the result.
 Again, this game has proven that Haaland is not a big game player else we should have seen his impact on the field! I still don't understand why Jeremy Doku didn't play because we've known the Belgian to be a good creator of goals and also tried to get some for himself too.
I really need to commend Aston Villa confidence and resilience because playing a team like Man City should make any team nervous but they made quick work of Pep's men, making them look like untried school boys.
 This win has seen them move above Man City to sit third on the table behind Liverpool and Arsenal and I must say the league has just got more competitive.

For the first time in Unai Emery's career, his team has successfully beaten a team that's coached by Pep Guardiola and his reaction after the final whistle further explains how happy he is for beating the Spaniard. Aston Villa played with a better determination and resilience tonight and I'm happy they were rewarded with a very vital win that ensured they took all three points from that game to overtake Manchester City in the English Premier League table as the Villans now occupy the third position of the league standings

I've said it in several occasions on this thread that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City isn't as effective and impressive as they were last season. They don't even look like the team that triumphed both in two domestic competitions as well as in Europe last season. Pep Guardiola serious need to work on his team and come up with a new playing style that'll bring out the best from the players once more.  Erling Haaland once again failed to score today in a game that many had predicted that he'll surely find the back of the net. The Norwegian doesn't have all the qualities of a good striker if you ask me. His footwork is one of the weakest among English Premier League strikers and he rarely falls back deep to take ball and play it to their opponent's 18 yard box. Erling Haaland is a sharp striker that knows how to position in games but he need to improve his footwork in other to be able to deliver in games that his team are finding difficult to break.

Another home win for Aston Villa in the EPL, that is 14 consecutive home wins for Aston Villa in the Premier League, unbelievable feat. Aston Villa fans are currently living the dream, they are third in the Premier League and playing fantastic football, if they continue playing like this, then they could even finish in the top four.

As for Manchester City, that is 4 games without a win, 3 draws and one loss, and they definitely didn't play like champions tonight, Villa were by far the better team and they deserved to win. City have failed to win a game this season when Rodri was unavailable, it is clear that City cannot do without him, and i can imagine a scenario where Rodri gets injured, that is disaster for City, i really think they need to go into the market and buy a few players in January.

City's bench was basically empty for today's game. I didn't watch but from the tweets I saw, looks like there isn't much to write home about about City's performance. But I won't blame City because Villa has been real solid this season — their biggest loss has that 5-1 loss to Newcastle. Since then, Villa has largely improved. I wasn't expecting much from City from this match given how fantastic Villa is (especially at home.

I also did not expect that Citizens could be defeated in the match, to be honest I just woke up, because in my country the Manc city vs Aston Villa match was in the early morning, so I didn't watch the full match, only a few minutes of the match left.

And indeed man City here is different, they are quite difficult to build their attacks, I don't why, or maybe because of the absence of play maker KDB, they are like disheveled, not like usual before, when I look at the statistics of the whole match, from the total shots made, in fact Aston villa made more shots than man city, which should be a matter of attacking and defending man city can be said to be the strongest, but it seems that pep is helpless, and he has to concede one goal in the 74th minute by bailey and that single goal is a key victory for Aston villa.

I really have interest in this game because l want to observe CHRIS Wilder in his first game as the new manager of Sheffield Utd, although is too early to decide on what he can offer, because he came when club is in total mess, I noticed an improvement against Liverpool, Liverpool is one of top four club in the table and they are able to withstand the pressure mounting on them by Liverpool compared with the strong club played before and also control the limited concede  goal.

Liverpool was a serious test for the new manager of Sheffield. Liverpool is very serious with every game they play; they want to be in the Champions league next season. Manchester City are losing currently by a goal to Aston Villa, and if this game ends like this, Manchester City will be pushed to fourth on the premier league table which will be a position that they never dropped to last season. Manchester City will not find it easy to defend their title as their manager expressed confidence that they would in the interview he had.

Despite the fact that it was Sheffield's first game as a new manager, and I know he will do anything possible to impress the club, I don't still expect great performances from them against Liverpool because Liverpool's is far better than Sheffield's. So I did not thought the game would look challenging for Liverpool, and seriously, there are not many challenges because Liverpool was able to win the game with goals and gain their three points, and I think that is enough for them. With this Liverpool consistency performance show, they are ready to drag this premier league title with Arsenal and Manchester City as expected to be the win of the season predicted.

I don't know what Gardiola is planning behind the closet but it's not seeming good at all, this isn't last season that the table turned around in their favour at the last moment, if he keeps losing points to the advantage of Arsenal it will be hard for City to catch up when the Arsenal train must have left the station with much higher points than it is now. Artheta must have learnt from his mistakes last season and you don't expect him to repeat it again. Tonight's match was out of normal for Aston villa holding City half field pressing with all they have and gaining possession of the game from start to finish, it was a deserving win for the Villa's.

Manchester united against Chelsea was just another game for tonight, United played as if th y are back to form but it's just a shambles maybe in their next game if they still deliver same great  performance then their fan can start taking them serious ones again. As for Chelsea it was just another day of mistakes after another no complete passes, and many of the players like Caceido, Enzo and Jackson were no where to be found on the pitch, aside from Sanchez and Cucurella that were of good behavior with a lot of interceptions and savings else it would be more goals than just the 2:1 in favour of Manchester united.

Although Spurs aren't a reference since they are very instable and fluctuating a lot but I agree that Aston Villa are doing good this season overall. Today's game against Manchester City was another story, it was a very good result for them and shocking one for Manchester City fans and management. Guardiola is witnessing the 4th bad result in a row and the decrease in the ranking for his team.
Gunners won with difficulty their game vs Luton Town and Manchester United made an important victory against Chelsea. They are 3 points far from Manchester City!!

It's unbelievable that Chelsea equalise in the first half, whereas Manchester United would have score two goals assuming the penalty kick was scored but Manchester United lose the penalty to Chelsea, even the Chelsea had penalty to Manchester inside eighteen but the referee couldn't notice that earlier, I will say it has not be notice earlier is because the last man device was faulty and they couldn't detect it easily, so Chelsea equalise the match unexpectedly because Chelsea have missed almost two chances and the third attempt Cole Palmer scored the goal, I believe that this will end 2:1 or draw, but Manchester United is seen to defeat the match because their pressure is much to Chelsea, the first half ended 1:1

Manchester United dominated the first and second half of the match between them and Chelsea. I am happy that they managed to win over Chelsea despite losing a penalty and other good chances to score.

Chelsea's performance these days is not quite encouraging to watch them play. Their formation of playing a counterattack kind of football against their opponent does not favor them. I wonder who gives Pochettino that kind of football tactics. All I want is for him to change Chelsea's formation to a better one. He can't have quality players in the team and still fails to utilize them to win matches for the team comfortably. That's too bad and it makes no sense

At this point it is safe to say that the Red Devils have had their way against the Blues with the 69th minutes goal from Scott McTominay to make it  2:1. This match was actually very difficult to predict as many people had already commented because the match could have gone either ways.

If this match end this way, Manchester United will have the same point with Tottenham and dragging the 5th position for the Europa league next season.

I didn't watch this match, but based on the match results, statistics and goals scored by these two teams, I have the data. I want to comment from United's side first, Ten Hag's decision not to make Marcus Rashford a starter was the right choice. Occasionally, if a player plays badly, Ten Hag must have the courage to replace him or let him sit on the bench. and referring to the existing player statistics, there are only a few United players who underperform, especially defenders. plus, Onana. the rest, have quite good statistical value.
Unfortunately, Hojlund was again unable to prove or score his first goal. I don't dare to talk too much, because I didn't watch this match directly. However, based on statistics, Chelsea are much better, both in terms of ball control and technical matters. The difference is that United had a lot of total shots, but both teams had the same 5 big chances.

As for Chelsea, once again Poche relies on stickers which are difficult to score goals. The difference with Hojlund is that he performed well in this match. while Nicolas Jackson again underperformed. I can't help but wonder whether Poche doesn't have another alternative for him to use as a center forward. Apart from that, in this match Enzo didn't play optimally and he even played badly. Fortunately, the Chelsea goalkeeper played very well with 7 saves. but the final result, United won this match.

In another match, I started to get confused about City. In fact, I'm too lazy to review and research the statistics. What is certain is that City was defeated by Aston Villa. and this is good news for supporters of other teams.

this is really going to be devastating for City and their fans because the result they got tonight was not one they expected,and if they had told me that Aston Villa could win City,I wouldn't have believed,but now I'm beginning to see more reasons why Emery said he would make the top four hot for the people that occupy those positions.Credit to Villa as they defeated City who are the reigning champions.This victory will give them added boost of moral as they face the gunners this weekend.
Mikel Arteta will begin to make plans on how to win them if he wants to show to people that he is ready to win the tittle this season.I predit Arsenal to get a 2:1 win against them on Saturday.

This match was suppose to end in an even draw but since the match was played at Old Trafford, Manchester United leveraged on that and won the match today. I am very impressed with their performance today because they outplayed Chelsea to win their match tonight. Both teams have been in inconsistent and this win is not enough proof that they will be back to form following their next match. Likewise Chelsea hasn’t proven that they will also lose their next match after losing to Manchester United tonight. Both teams are unpredictable, it will take time to know where the future of each team leads them.

The park is indeed a place to be feared by many teams. Aston Villa win against Manchester City was a surprise to me although they’ve shown a lot more expertise in the first half before scoring in the second half. Manchester City will be lagging behind Liverpool and Arsenal whom both won this weeks games. This is a good opportunity for Arsenal to dominate the league more if they know how to manage this point gap well.

I’m still at a loss at exactly what happened in that game as I had expected Manchester City to have won that game and kinda easily too. They didn’t play up to expectations and lost the match as a result. Aston Villa had some really good chances and it deserved the goal later scored in the second half of the game.
Looking at the statistics later on from the game, Aston Villa was more hungry for goals and it was shown with the attempts on goal and shots on target. I was totally surprised at the outcome of this game.
Manchester United on the other hand, had a good game as they faced with Chelsea and won.

Unai Emery has done some excellent work at Aston Villa since arrival last year. Aston have now found there way back to the premier league top and not longer a mid table team. The players this season that we’re added have been the ones super heading this season. Players like Pau Torres have enjoyed a smooth start to continue. The Villa park had also become a fortress which seems  hard to beat Aston Villa. They dominated a team like Manchester city which shows they are not to be taken for granted.

As for Manchester city I will say they are just experiencing a post treble winning season fatigue and to be frank they need it. I don’t blame them that much, this season is truly going to be a bit rough for them because there players fitness will definitely be questioned. As for Rodri, I don’t think they need anymore players, the likes of Kovacic, Nunez and Kalvin Philips are his replacement but they haven’t settled down well and also the players are different.

I don't think anybody could have predicted that Ma City performance right. That was the worst City performance I've seen in a long time. They were all over the place. Against Tottenham I thought that was a one time thing which is normal for every team but now it got worse again Aston Villa.
I won't be too surprised if City has just lost because every team loses matches no matter how good you are, but the way they lost.
It's not everyday you see Man City lose a match without scoring a goal and playing worse than their opponents.

I guess Manchester City is just going through a rough patch and they'll be back stronger. We know that they get better as the season goes further and they might go back to their usual form. They're about 6 points behind league leaders Arsenal and when you look at it from a certain perspective, that's not a lot of points, the problem is that is how the point gap might begin to increase.
One thing is for sure, it's going to be an intersection battle ahead.

The necessary details and form about Arsenal is balance, what they need currently is accumulating points to stay top of the table and maintaining streak winnings in matches. Declan Rice might not play upto the expectations of the hype priced he got signed for but he has actually deliver his clubs in rough moments, times everyone thought it's over, there he comes and deliver them like Jesus Christ the savior. Aston Villa won despite the heavy pressure they face. Manchester City are not in form, with the absence of keyplayers and also hyped players that are doing zero contributions to the club pattern of game. Traveling to Villa Park to face the Lions, the Citizens thought  it would be a regular winning day for them but got spuned by the home team. Indeed Unai Emery is cooking something for the club and the board and the fans are happy to have him in the club. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola have something to say concerning their shocking defeats against Aston Villa.
