To me, this was not surprising at all. Chelsea is definitely not performing well. And I do not expect consistency from them. But to some people, it might be a little surprising that they have actually lost against Everton who are trying desperately to stay out of the relegation zone. But I do not think that distracted performance is that much unexpected from Chelsea.

Someone in this thread said that the Chelsea authority is trying to keep the coach that they have right now. But I don't think that is a good idea. Especially looking at the results high. Definitely do not think that it is going to work in the long term.

Chelsea will most likely still fail this season in the competition in the Premier League. Velvet78, this was a good performance from Tottenham. A good comeback I have to say. Even though they were not able to keep a clean sheet in this match, they have definitely done well to win by a big score. Probably now they will be able to be consistent in their performance. They were performing really well and looked really good to actually be the best contender for the English Premier League title. But after that, the losing streak that they had recently, has definitely put them out of the place. And they will also have to work really hard to actually get back the first position of the table. The good thing is, even though they have lost a lot of matches one after another, they are still only 7 points behind compared to the first team on the table. So it is still very much within their reach.

It is really unfortunate of Tottenham to be that much away from the leader in the standings. Because they lost so many points for many weeks straight. While we were talking about Ange Postecoglou effect over the team they suddenly started to lose points quite often. But hopefully this recent win can be some motivation for them to maintain a good streak.

Manchester United will be back better but the so called fans are not ready to wait to face obstacles. Jose Mourinho also said finishing second for Manchester United was the best thing he achieved for that club. Ajax is not Manchester United, he should make sure he picks a squad without bias.

Tottenham really played well, Son on the left wing made more sense than him playing CF. He was able to link Richardlison to score, Udogie and also scoring from the spot kick. They played good and Pedro Porro should have scored if not that his effort strucked the wood work.

The problem with Man United is not just the goalkeeper or striker but I think all their lines are not playing like a solid team. There was no strong bond between them, even it is often seen that some of them tend to play individually. For every club to achieve anything or go far in every league there most be an understanding between the players and the goalkeeper and if perhaps the understanding is not there they are bound to fail, perhaps that's what Manchester United is suffering now because of lack of understanding and inability to work as a team.

But why does Manchester City have that spirit? It is because Guardiola understands how to form a team out of a bunch of players. Otherwise we could say that Manchester City would be as successful when ten Hag was their coach, but I am sure that would not be the case. On the contrary, if Guardiola was the coach of Manchester United, I am pretty confident that they would be much better off. There is still a difference in the quality of players as Manchester City has players like Haaland. But there is a lot of potential in the Manchester United team. It would be a nice experiment to see these coaches switch their teams

We are still talking about Manchester City and it is still a world class team, but you are right that if you compare this season Manchester City to last season Manchester City, there is quite a significant difference. Now this is easily said because they could not win several games recently, but the whole style and intensity of their game decreases and I concur with you that the midfield is their weak spot due to Gundogan and De Bruyne being out. What this duo pulled off last season was insane and they built one of the most impressive midfields I have ever seen. In my own opinion, I think Erik Ten Hag is currently one of the luckiest managers in world football at the moment because it's very rare to see a manager who's underperformed as much as the Dutch has done for a big European club like Manchester United and still remain as the club. Just like Danny Murphy suggested, Ten Hag should've been released of his duties as the club manager but it seems the club management is still keeping faith with him because they think he can still improve the result of the club. They have a very crucial game to play against Bayern Munich tomorrow in the UEFA Champions League and if Manchester United fails to reach the knockout stages of the competition after that game, they're very likely to get rid of Erik Ten Hag.

What's really blowing me away is their record for the home games. They truly are operating a fortress in their home stadium! They won 100% of their games there and it is not just that they won those games, but how they destroyed most of their opponents there. Although I saw that Liverpool also has a perfect record for their home games. Now they will have a couple of games against weaker opponents, except for maybe Manchester United in two weeks. But if they continue like this then the game against Manchester United could be some big points for them as they can increase the distance to Manchester United and leave them behind once and for all for this season.

Chelsea just have a lot to do other than Pochettino asking for new crop of players to be signed. I was really disappointed by their performance yesterday and from how they played, it showed glaringly that they don't have any tactics. How can you bench players like Sterling and Jackson? Although he(Jackson) is still finding his feet, but you can agree that he plays a great role in the attack. Everton are like an injured lion and won't try to take any chances so I didn't expect Pochettino to do so with his team.
 This is the second time in a row that they have lost in their away game and it's sad that instead of Pochettino to admit they messed up, he blamed their performance on lack of good players and I'm beginning to wonder if he knows what he's talking about. Last transfer window, Chelsea spent above a billion pounds on purchasing players and I thought that with that amount spent, they'd be in the top four or close but what are we seeing? Currently they are twelfth. It's as if ever since Todd Boehly took over the club, their lot is to between the tenth and twelfth position.

Yep that's right, since Todd Boehly took over the club a lot of controversy has occurred, be it a matter of spending on players who are careless and sacking coaches who make no sense. Currently chelsea has a lot of changes both in terms of the game and the mentality of the players, I'm sure the chelsea dressing room after consecutive away defeats must be chaotic, moreover experienced players in the EPL such as Rahim Sterling are reserved, Chelsea does not have much time to clean up soon half the season will end if this continues next year Chelsea will not play in the UCL again.

I don't think Aston Villa sets a target for the title. They must realize that it is something very difficult to achieve because there are many strong teams in EPL. I assume Aston Villa just tries their best to finish in UCL zone, so they can make a history to play in UCL for the next season. It will be another surprise if Aston Villa joins UCL next season after Newcastle joins the UCL for this season. Sure, they are very confident now, they could beat Man City and Arsenal, these are the strong teams in EPL. For the next matches, I assume Aston Villa can beat Man United and Newcastle. It should be easier than Man City and Arsenal.

I agree with you. He had problems with many players and proved to us that he was the main problem in the team. Erik Ten Hag is now doing more harm than good to the team and I'm sure there are a lot of people waiting for him to leave the team. Yeah sometimes too much discipline also does harm to the team and we can see this in the case of Manchester United here. I still think that Erik ten Haag is a good technical coach but he has to loose himself a little sometimes. Right now United are in a very difficult stage and I also think that he has to get some chances to the options that he has and make changes so that he can turn around the performance of United otherwise yes he will be sacked very soon.
