They had lots of opportunities, but they were blocked by either the goalkeeper or the defenders. Haaland was able to secure one goal in the match, which gave Manchester City a win in the match.

I knew Manchester City would want to do everything possible to win Brentford, because that’s the only opportunity to stay ahead of Arsenal after the draw against Chelsea. Seriously, I don’t think anyone can even predict the winner of the league title yet this season because Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are really in a tight race for it.

With this disappointing result, the handicap bettors definitely lost a lot of money here, the small odds cost them a definite chance, but nevertheless everyone wanted more and chose to bet on handicap bets with bigger odds.

Handicap bettors only have themselves to blame. The result is far from disappointing for the City. They walk onto the pitch with a mission of earning 3 points and that's what they did.
When betting on handicap, it's not enough to just compare league positions, previous results or other stats. You have to take into consideration other things like season fatigue and the simple fact that the top priority for teams is to score 3 points not to score a lot of goals.

As for the City, a win is a win, they dominated with possession and goal opportunities, but just as in the game against Chelsea, they had a hard time of converting situations into goals. It's too soon to say if it's just bad luck or some deeper problem. We'll know after 1-2 more games.

Yeah is a risk when a club participates in several competitions and tournaments that's why sometimes coaches play the second players in several tournaments and only play the mainstay players in important matches, I just checked the list of injured Liverpool players and at least 10 players were injured obviously this is a tough situation for Klopp when he has to use the player in an important match. Another mid-week game, another triumphant game for them. If Manchester City failed to win Brentford at Etihad stadium, then I would know that Brentford comes with lucky stars that prevented them from losing points against the elite side. Pep Guardiola was not settled all through because he aims only for winning points to aides his team close gap with Liverpool on the EPL table. This will be certainly one of the big fights between elite clubs. We know who scored already, no other player than the current goal machine of the club, Erling Haaland. The Norway international returned from injury and he's trying to regained his form but he needs exceptional aides from teammates to reach the top.

Haaland is one of my favorite strikers and forwards in the Premier league. He's always on top of his game to fill in the goals when they are yearning for one. I enjoyed the way Haaland broke the deadlock at the 71st minute of the match when both clubs were haunting for one I was expecting a win by Manchester City at every minute of the game but I didn't know it will take them that long to conceive one.

This 1 goal win tonight has helped push Man City to the second position of the league with a point ahead of Arsenal and a point below Liverpool who leading the table right now.

Liverpool next match will be against Luton Town tomorrow which I believe its a good game for them to win to remain at the top of the table or lose to endanger their chances to remain top there. Arsenal's next EPL match will be against Newcastle which is ordinarily tougher but it is also essential For Arsenal to win that match.

Man City's next game will be on that same day with Bournemouth, I am pretty sure they will win on that match too. Two things are more likely to happen to Arsenal, either Arsenal will win and move ahead of Manchester City (if they lose) and Liverpool (if they lose) or Arsenal will draw or win to Newcastle and remain at the same position on thetable allowing both Man City and Liverpool to continue to lead.

That's a good point when we think about it like that. Tbh, I had high conviction for City before the game (I mean they won Brentford comfortably at Brentford's Gtech stadium just 2 weeks ago). So I expected a high scoring, comfortable game. But there was no goal until the 70th minute. Of course I'd feel nervy but City came through. It's the same conviction I've had for City in recent times like their game with Everton where they won 2-0.

Why did you leave Arsenal out? Or you aren't convicted about their recent high flying performances? They did blast through Liverpool, dunked West ham hard and passed the same demolition to Burnley last weekend.

It was a nice game to watch with both teams creating good attacks at the post. As expected, Manchester City dominated the most of it and Mark Flekken, the Brentford Golie had a busy time. One shot from Oscar Bobb went past the keeper and was defended by Brentford defender from the goal line.
The one on one goal from Halland was impressive as always, Halland can outrun anyone to score. The game was just about the points and Manchester City got the full. The title race is going to be a three way one with just 13 matches left for each team. It's going to be a long race till the end.
