I don't know why you are so concerned about Arsenal not going home with a trophy this season but even though they didn't go home with a trophy you can't compare the performance and entertainment Arsenal brought to the EPL this season with that of Manchester united and moreover your quote has nothing to do with comparison between Manchester united and other EPL teams.

Manchester United really did a good job by winning Manchester city to win the F.A cup that projected them to the European competition next season by that single victory and trophy they won but stop making comparison between Manchester united and other EPL teams because even you as a Manchester united fan because it's obvious you are one of their fans so you can testify that Manchester United is not better than the other teams ahead of them in the EPL table but it's not about qualifying for European competition but how well can they perform because if they play with the mentality they did this season they can't go far so it will be better for them to buckle up very well against next season competitions. Actually I don't really think Manchester city underestimated Manchester united, what I really do think is that Manchester united surprised Manchester city with their togetherness and compactness in their defensive set up, and to be frank, it's really been long I saw Manchester city ran out of ideas on how to break the defensive lineup of Manchester united, and it was all the idea of Eric ten hang, the defensive master class of Manchester united was spot on yesterday, though they need a little bit of luck to scale through, but I still feels like the victory was well deserved, because of the work they put in to ensure of the victory.

I'm glad that City got another slap in the face, it's especially nice in the derby. It seems to me that this defeat can be easily explained by the fact that the City players very much celebrated the victory in the Premier League (there are many photo evidence of this) and were out of shape because of this, plus there was an obvious underestimation of the opponent.

Manchester united have disappointment a lot of there of fans more times that we can expect but look at what happened yesterday changed everything. and there victory against Manchester city was what changed the whole situation and Manchester united did not give Manchester city a breathing space yesterday. and fear left their body body and from the starts Manchester city was playing them but that two goals gave united more confidence. and they were blocking all Manchester city's attempts to score because if you look at the whole game city had the upper hand. but things did not just work out for them yesterday and Manchester city played full squad and to my surprise  De Bruyne and Haaland was present and even with all there squad they were only able to score one goal.
