I think the Doge Rain effort is a success. The more down votes the better. It shows we got people talking, they learned something. My God, we went into the Doge Reddit and gave away Uno! How ballsy is that!
It was handled in an upfront honest way, with respect for their rules. If some shibes didn't like it, if a few of them wanted Uno just stay quiet and invisible, well... too bad. I think Uno could only pick up new fans. Those who didn't like us before probably still don't like us, but there were some new wallets made anyway.

Doge Rain 24 Hour Recap

I received and paid 22 addresses in the past 24 hours.
5 of those are known to me as regulars here.
That would indicate that perhaps 17 new wallets have been created as a result of this promotion. I have a list of them all, and it might be interesting a few weeks down the line to peek in those wallets and see if people have added to their stash.
CONTROVERSY
/r/dogecoin had an unclear rule saying that "Promotion or Bashing of other coins is frowned upon".
Somebody came into the thread and objected to my Giveaway on those grounds.
I had previously, a month ago, gone into someone else's thread, and objected on those very same grounds. I was told by the Mods to fuck off and that if I liked, I was "free to hold my own UNO giveaway" by a Mod.
So I had that going for me. I had permission direct from a mod based on equal protection.
A shitstorm ensued and Mods entered my thread. I argued. Provided evidence.
They CHANGED THE RULE.
Our Rain Thread remains, but has been severely down voted for the controversy.
So Yay us! We actually changed a stupid rule on /r/dogecoin, opening the way for other coins to be promoted on /r/dogecoin in the future.
I consider this a huge win.
EXPENSES
Excluding some large personal donations I decided to do above and beyond the constraints of my own Giveaway Rules, this promotion cost about .5 Uno. That's it. I actually spent 4.06 Uno thus far (see the Lil' Shooter story

It is supposed to go on for 5 days. And I will pay anyone that shows up for 5 days, but due to controversy brought up in the thread, it has been severely down voted and buried. So I don't expect much "new business" over there. We'll have to see.
