How does one patent technology like blockchains? Did microsoft patent the operating system? Pretty much what we all know deep down. None of the major financial institutions are ever going to just join a coin, they want full control.
It would be pretty funny to watch someone try to execute a cease and desist order against a blockchain. Which way did it go? EDIT: Look, we're almost to page 750!

I think you got it all covered. So far so good.
I love how fickle everyone is. If i am to believe Zerohedge then a majority of the price decline for btc in the recent weeks past can be attributed to turmoil over a btc hardfork. Is it possible it was fake news the whole time? Just a fud campaign started by a group of people who missed the ship and hoped to catch up?
How would such a fork effect our network? Do we then need to pick a fork or does it happen automatically?

Many will disagree with me, but I think a hard fork would be good for Bitcoin.
It didn't do too much harm to ETH.

Uno implemented merge mining with Bitcoin at block 600,000 in May, 2015. Merge mining allows a Bitcoin miners to also mine for Uno. As a result the security of Uno's blockchain increased significantly. Bitcoin miners earn more for their hash, while contributing to the security of Uno's blockchain. Miners will continue to receive Uno block rewards for the next 300 years.
What would be the consequences of a Bitcoin hardfork for the Unobtanium blockchain? Are there any effects or precautions to take?

Who is Billy Meier? What is Unobtanium? I love it. Yes! That's the idea. Just voiced my concern about the general public knowing how to receive and retain Unobtanium. Maybe there needs to be explainer video(s) on how to receive and retain this form of wealth?
There are 2 tracks - those who are already in crypto and those who are not. $UNO can be be a great newbie start point since "hodl" has never been a bad option due to the low issuance.

Still rare, still fair, it's Unobtanium.

What? Who is billy meier. What is this case you speak of? Okay google told me he is someone who thinks he has contacted aliens. Spare me the tedium of more searches and share why his case is worth paying any mind to? Joseph Smith? Only i can read the plates... if one is to believe he has contact with e.ts why not ask them to contact other people? 49 u.s dollars in uno is what you are paying for memes? Or 49 uno for 7 memes which is 7 uno a meme for the top 7? http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-07-17/goldman-wins-patent-setlcoin-technology How does one patent technology like blockchains? Did microsoft patent the operating system? Pretty much what we all know deep down. None of the major financial institutions are ever going to just join a coin, they want full control. I'm offering a total of 49 $UNO to 7 of the memes entered into the challenge. Out of all submissions to the challenge, 7 will be chosen to receive $UNO - each of the 7 chosen will receive 7 $UNO. Details to come include - cutoff date (deadline) and where to submit entries. Soft launch for now... some time needed to get folks up to speed, knowledgeable on the relevant facts.

Hey,
I don't use the Electrum wallet (not smart enough), but I know a lot of people do and would like to help beef up the service.
I'd be glad to help with a bounty.
What does it take?

Due to the UNO network experiencing deep re-orgs or possible attempts at double-spend by miners, I am disabling the dice games until further notice.

Is it anything to be worried about, the deep re-orgs? Anything we could even do something about even if it was a cause for concern, or just something ya gotta roll with?

It's a problem. My games are calculated after one confirmation but some of the reorgs have been a few hundred blocks. I could get scammed by a miner so I have to wait until either the block relaying improves or a malicious miner is done playing around.... But right now the UNO network has one miner with over 51% so I would say it doesn't look healthy to me. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!extraction Perhaps UNO should explore multialgo to keep the miners honest. edit: I should also add that any exchange could be scammed the same way, they will probably take some action.

I would love to see multialgo PoW in Uno. Merge Mined with: Nexus SHA3 [Skein and Keccak], Monero [CryptoNight], ZClassic [equalihash], Decred [decred], Vertcoin [lyra2v2], Feathercoin [neoscrypt], Sibcoin [sib], Myriadcoin [yescrypt], Chaincoin [C11] How many algo is the best quantity to be mergemined with. The more the better, or not? When miner is not honest it's only because he have the opportunity to be that way. I mentioned about that problem few months ago, but there was not so much response. Unobtanium is the best coin to hodl except bitcoin, if we don't take action, can we lose uno from the exchanges? I'm not an expert in hard forks but I feel if we go that way, we will mount up. Have a nice day

Bryce Weiner in telegram today,
Doesn't look like anything bad happened. We are getting swept up in profit switching mining pools.
Blockchains automatically reorg forks after a short period of time. It's already resolved. We are just checking out if there's anything malicious.
It was accidental, I'm sure. We are talking 30PHs that showed up out of nowhere. It cranked out blocks quickly until KGW could compensate. That's what caused the fork: more blocks produced than propagated.
I'm sitting here looking through the chain and it doesn't look hostile at all.
my 0.02 - that being said, multialgo pow is worthy of discussion.
50 USD incoming - again!! $50.47@coinimi

Well, I'm glad I can take his word for it, that's a burden lifted... Closing my games are done as a result of an abundance of caution. Regardless, over 51% is still unacceptable. To CrystalSufir's question, how many algos is a balancing act. Too many is difficult to maintain, not enough leaves too many miners in control... I would look to the successful multialgo coins out there for guidance. And no hardfork should be taken lightly, consensus is required.
