Not to go conspiracy theory on everyone, but does anyone get the feeling that with Cryptsy's huge stash of UNO, that there are forces at work to keep UNO at an artificially low value?

Well with 51k uno, they are the market makers.

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

I really wanna understand:

so, canny trading-practices allow one to purchase UNO while keeping one's cards close to one's chest. Thus, the 'normal' upward pressure on price that comes from 'noisy' market-place activity (standing buy-orders) is lacking.

@ Blue Crypto: 10 UNO sent.
Wow!  Our first donation to the project~!!!

Some of you may not fully realize it, but The Blue Crypto Award project is a 'Full Disclosure' project.  Whatever is donated or used for voting (starts Sep 16th!) - you will know how it was used in the project.  The rockchain (our blockchain) and other alt donation addresses and the UNO voting addresses all facilitate the public visibility aspect of project finances.

(There are more details under #8 on the project website about the few ways donations may be used.)

-------

Here are some unique characteristics that make the project novel:

1.  1st significant use of a crypto blockchain for a public vote!
2.  1st crypto-funded award presentation based on public voting on a blockchain
3.  A Full Disclosure project
4.  1st 'annual' crypto award
5.  1st project to establish community-sponsored buy support, however token (see #8 on project website)
6.  1st crypto project to be fully insured - (more details T.B.A.!!!...)
7.  Another crypto project which supports innovation and the evolution of Humanity
8.  1st project to protect it's corresponding crypto's price valuation at award time, however token
9.  1st project capable of fully financing it's 2nd year from the 1st year's revenue, alone, by design
10.  (Isn't there a 10?) Smiley

I don't know if its a conspiracy, but the way it's traded at the moment is keeping the published price down. There are a lot of patient long term  accumulators.
There are shallow buy orders; the money pounces on any quantities that are posted right now. Buyers don't want to show their hand.   The sellers are slowly leading us higher and that has opened a gap wide.
Believe me, in the world of crypto, a slow and steady rise is so unheard of, it's a breath of fresh air! I wish the "speculators" maturity would rise somewhat so that buyers would recognize that value. Imagine what the market would look like if we could even get 100 new buyers of 100 UNO each? Wow!

I really hope people begin to realize that the stability of UNO is a great factor!  Also, convertibility to AG on the UNO-Ex is a pretty cool feature as well!  Cool

some of us thought the Uran-wallet was wolong. Then it turned out it was cryptsy. What if both is true?

sounds actually great. I think it's also a kind of charity for those that deserve it most. The award-money will very likely be used for the maximum benefit of humanity. Makes much more sense than funding nascar or things like that. One of the first charities around here that make a lot of sense. I like the idea of repeating it every year and hopefully have it become more advanced each time. A few years down the road 'the blue crypto award'  could be something widely known and respected. Turns out: the idea was really great. Great work you guys are doing.

Here's an update on the effort to retain MintPal Exchange for Unobtanium.

Today Moolah.io explained their policy on the addition/removal of coins.
I've submitted a request for the review of UNO (MintPal ticket #251198).

UNO easily checks off every box on Moolah's list.  After reading their requirements, I fully expect they will want to retain UNO.

Following a retention commitment from Moolah, the next step would be to move toward UNO as a verified market.

Thanks to everyone who reached out to Moolah/MintPal on behalf of UNO. There's still time if you'd like to help by opening a support ticket on behalf of UNO, or tweeting @moolah_io. I prefer to finish strong for UNO, rather than limp across the finish line.

Of course, all we know is that Cryptsy holds 50k Un.  Wolong could own 70% of that wallet, or 0%. We won't know until BW gets Big Vern drunk at a crypto convention.

Blue Crypto Award finance:  Consistent with this Full Disclosure project, I am very happy to report as the manager that the Blue Crypto Award fund (only the part originating from my own private donation) has assisted in the Mintpal situation.  Due to market conditions, The Blue Crypto Award now has an additional 21+ UNO profit assimilated into its funds!!!  Here's the breakdown of current funds:

100 UNO - The Blue Crypto Award (from Benefactor)
21+ UNO - Fund profit
10 UNO - Official Donation address (from IMZ)
-------
131 UNO Total Blue Crypto Award funds

-------
11.11 UNO - T.B.A. (private supporting funds, insurance)
88.89 UNO - T.B.A. (private supporting funds, insurance)
10 UNO - T.B.A. (private supporting funds, voting giveaway)
-------
110 UNO Additional private project-supporting funds.

Due to market conditions, The Blue Crypto Award now has an additional 21+ UNO profit assimilated into its funds!!!  Here's the breakdown of current funds:

Were you gambling with the award money?  What's next, betting it on Cryptapus' 50% dice game? This prize could be a ton of Un before we know it Grin
(/jk).  I'm glad you caught some and that it went to good use.

For at least a moment today, Uno moved.  Even at 0065, I think a fair price was paid.  Who knows, there could be even more action on MP.

If the price of btc continues to drop, new money will begin to chase Uno.  Be sure you have what you need before that starts.

Yup.  I'm an experienced trader, and understood the situation.  Wink

Still, no matter what there is risk, but my obligation at the time was just to provide 100 UNO, so I could just have pulled that from another account.  There was no risk to the Blue Crypto Award funds.  I'm really stoked the situation presented itself, and now the declared profit is the property of the Blue Crypto Award funds, and must be likewise protected.

@ Stability of Price: UNO's 365-day chart is a pivotal datum -- okay, it's awesome.
We're reaching an historic moment, I think, folks: long-time altcoiners are startin' to look for coins with a future.

@UNO/fiat -- I hope to see that in Aus Dollars!

@ Mark's Experiment the experiment of 'Mr. Smith': guys, 'Mr. Smith' will be trading very little on Un-Ex for a little while as The Experiment gathers pace:

what percentage of all Mr. Smith's usual purchases can be made in cryptos/UNO? At present, 'CD' -- who bought the silver bar -- also informally accepts Unobtanium for stuff she drops off at the farmhouse for me: eggs, olives, beer, etc. She should have a wallet set up shortly.

The Perth Bullion project is lookin' good -- are there Australians here who want to buy silver?

IndiaMikeZulu is scraping together pennies to buy a stake in a Bitcoin-mining project. My share will go straight into Unobtanium.

The bottom line, though, will be gift cards purchased with UNO -- that's why I need to enlarge my stash of UNO. I need four or five hundred to hand to buy 'grocery gift cards' with.

A long way yet to go, but I hold unapologetically that it's imperative to create transactional volume.
