@ smalltimer. Deep breath!
Bitcoin is not failing. Or falling rapidly. More of a scary scary 'dwindle.'
what makes you so sure about bitcoin? The support group it has, ok But what if Karpeles is selling, shortsellers are selling and miners are selling for another year? Don't you think it'll be replaced then? Okcoin can get 'hacked' tomorrow and that would be the end of bitcoin. So i wouldn't be so sure about it only because it was able to gather a good supportgroup. I for one do support what works and not what i wish would work. Call me a realist. If bitcoin doesn't work out for what ever reasons and another coin works out instead which meets the basic requirements (which ripple for example does not) then i'll try to be in the coin before everyone else. Well, i actually am

I just don't get clowns like this. If he / she had come to UNO-EX, they would have scored much more than selling on an exchange.. [/quote]
...
Hate to say this, but do you think somebody is selling UNO to buy cheap bitcoin? I mean, UNO has been stable relative to bitcoin. Maybe they figure they can drive down UNO, buy cheap bitcoin, and then return later for the UNO they drove down? Or, am I talking crazy?

I think it's probably more easily summed up as people selling into this bear market to buy lower.

$UNO price is ~50% lower from the last high (~0.0100). $UNO came off the July 30 and 31 high by ~50% before going higher (~0.0055 high to ~0.0028 low). I think we are likely to see upward move off ~0.005ish support. Lower BTC prices could hasten the move. It could be a perfect storm - conjunction of favorable technicals and solid fundamentals (rare, fair, store of value) sending $UNO higher.

While UNO may be stable in the face of btc decline. I can't help but feel the weakness will correlate until this bear market subsides.

once it pops it pops then you whish you'd bought at this range
a little testing support to consolidate at this price is maybe ok too. The longterm bulls end up with more coins. So support testing before moving higher is maybe even good.

I'm thinking the same. It's killing me, because I would be buying more now if I could. I keep wondering if everyone is feeling the same economic pinch that I'm experiencing? I have specific reasons - I think, but can't help but wonder if everyone is feeling the same? The low gas prices aren't really helping me out that much. I don't want to get too personal, but I have a number of factors and concerns about the next couple of months that are causing me to be conservative today... Is that what a lot of people are going through or just me? I mean, from what I've heard, the Christmas spending hasn't been what has been expected... I don't know. I just have this sense of everyone having become weary and wary. It's not just in bitcoin, or UNO, or the price of oil, or the stock market, but in everything... Again, I don't know. Maybe I'm just in a mood. Maybe it's only a personal reflection of the price decline in both UNO and bitcoin against the expectations I had going into this season. It wasn't that many months ago that I rushed headlong into buying as much UNO as possible when it was at or nearing 0.01... but now... Animal spirits prevail... No? Z

Z nah, im feeling that! and i worry the 'optimism' of some is just them getting out as much as possible while they can. i for one got very used to the comfort that 800+ BTC enabled. Same Z

Time to try and spread a little Christmas cheer by helping some families far more worse off than us.
As such I have created a charity auction of some of my silver and one rare one-off gold plated bars.
Please help me get some money to people that have had an unfairly rough deal.HereThanks guys

I'm very aware that the world economy is getting shakey myself I am especially concerned about the state of the UK, my home country, where I am now in Amsterdam seems okay, but I honestly don't know enough about the country to comment much.
The bitcoin bubble was helpful to me, but I should have sold more. I intend to make more by trading this volatility. In my personal life I am attempting to save as much as I can and make sensible 'preps'- we could be heading into a great depression like scenario where no asset class is safe. Even though I'm in a relatively well paying job here in the netherlands- half my pay goes on rent alone. I have stopped buying excessive presents for philosophical reasons (consumerism is total bullshit and not what Christmas is meant to be about), but honestly wouldn't want to spend the money anyway.
I think all the average Joes are really feeling it and the worse thing is central banks want more inflation!! Great the things I need are going to be pumped up by idiot suits in positions of luxury and power.

I should have paid better attention to a headline the other day announcing that Japan is in ... recession or depression? I am def. in the average Joe category. Next month I begin my final course for my Graduate degree (Project Management), then begins the dreaded job search. I am retired from a first career, but like you, half my retirement income is consumed by my mortgage. Gas prices are down here, but the cost of everything else continues to go up... Leggy smiling fox news chicks are all bubbly about how great things are... Z

Japan is in recession. Again.
I have been avidly studying the GFC since before it was called the 'GFC,' since oil hit $100 a barrel in January, 2008 (and started writing occasionally for Market Oracle in late 2011). Feel free to ask me for brief reports on anything you like.
In two sentences? The GFC hasn't even begun. Buy all the cryptos you can.

Hang in there guys. Crypto goes up and crypto goes down. Do what makes you comfortable. If you have to leave, I get it, and just know that you're always welcome back to the UNOverse any time. If you can hold through it, good for you. If you can buy it, good for all of us. It never hurts to review the basics: http://www.investmentnews.com/article/20140520/BLOG09/140519915/5-steps-to-making-better-investment-decisions I'll be here in 6 months time. Hope you will be too.

Is there any chance to add the block value to the results at http://insight-uno.cryptap.us/blocks That's all it would take for Insight to be perfect. Thanks for running Uno explorers, and all the other great services. Much appreciated.
