So hypothetical if someone buy one kilogram gold with Unobtanium and coaex exit that Unobtanium right away almost immediately??? What effect is that to the market!?. Is it the dump effect?? I thing it is. Is it possible the long periodicly  uno dumps and exits is because of this?

Actually, we don't dump immediately. We wait until it matures to a level of profit while processing the orders immediately.
We have reserve BTC to run this business, smoothly. If you wish, we can now remove our sell order or increase to a higher level.
By that, we make a long term UNO investment.

As for your information, a similar scenario happened this year in another altcoin.
It was around $25k gold order and it made that altcoin rally higher (80% price increase).
We believe that a substantial sell order creates a wave of buy orders, afterwards. You can observe this in bigger markets. When you see an "above the market volume" buy order on Huobi BTC, you can be rest assured that the price of BTC will fall in a couple of days.

@ FK. checking out coins is a thing I suspect a lot of us do. It's surely a part of Knowing Your Stuff. Check out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=588413.0

I am so very very glad I scrambled on board the Uno wagon when I did. And yes: 2015 is going to be a scorcher in a range of ways.

A Solution to Primeminerone and Coaex's Problem

'Global Mall Unobtanium' ('Un-Ex') will solve this problem, which Ian and I have been wrassling with for over a year.

A number of you have realised that by using Un-Ex we can keep precious coin 'in-house.' Well, this includes merchants.

So we develop a 'facility' that allows all the merchants' coin to be absorbed by Un-Ex (which is Stage One of 'the Mall').

Becoming a DVC trader on Un-Ex will benefit you and Unobtanium and our merchants and the general market.

Ask me!

What's up with all the UNO pools?! A lot are not or barely reachable, websites don't function properly or have timeouts and worse, and so on.

Now trying http://miningpools.tk, but it could take a while to see anything due to lack of miners

Hear hear!

My favorite, miningpool.co, has been off-line for several days now.  This happened a month or two ago, then it came back and had been working great.

uno.coin-pool.org I can barely get into, my miners all say they're hashing away, yet the balance never changes!

WTF?

Smiley prominer  have NO problems with coaex or anybody else in uno zone. Wink Just make a point there maybe can be some Extra sell pressure for now and later. Coaex said they can hold, but I'm not so sure...but you never know.

@IMZ every time you're say DVC I make association with devcoin man. What's DVC? You have very good and interesting ideas...but can't fully understand it . What's this things brother? Give more info.....

Yeah, miningpool.co is my favorite as well. But I can't reach the website and I see no coins coming out from there as well unfortunately. Tried coin-pool, but the same: hashing happily but balance remains 0.

The mining return from Genesis Mining is just great. If I paid a fee for the electricity usage of my home miner every day I would not see better results, or perhaps even worse with the silly power prices here in the Netherlands, who knows. And forgive me for plugging my Genesis Mining discount code MMD, but it's for everybody's benefit in the form of a 3% discount.

I'll try miningpools.tk for a while and see how it goes. Might switch to coinking then if semi-solomining with 600GHs isn't doing too good. or back to miningpool.co if they re-appear Cheesy

@ Mike: my background is libertarian/anarchist political theory. There is now quality data that suggests that our species tends towards 'authoritarianism' -- which is what can also be called 'organisation.'

Nakamoto could hardly have guessed that the differences in electricity prices in different countries (including the possibility that some Chinese players are getting free electricity . . . ) would result in a signficant, albeit de facto, 'centralisation' of his decentralised concept.

It's the reason that IndiaMikeZulu is watching with interest the rise of 'corporate' coins like Paycoin: crypto folk have pushed the libertarian thing much too hard in many ways, and the logical reaction (you see it everywhere in political history) is for centralisation to creep back in.

Our approach is to accept that an-archic communities don't really exist, and never will; and to build a small, very 'tight' trust-network that rewards those who work positively for the community. That's how tribes actually work!

@Mike -- miningpool.co is back up!  At least for now.  I'm wondering if they've been subjected to DDOS attacks from time to time. When they're up, they work great!

coin-pool, uhh, I don't know.  Always seems like a work-in-progress.  Plus, the damnedest thing is their "dashboard" always crashes my browser (Chrome) if I leave it open for more than an hour or so.  Longer than that, it crashes my whole computer!!!  They were the first pool I used, got tired of that nonsense, tried some UK one that seemed OK for a week or so then they disappeared off the planet.  So for "local" mining, miningpool.co is it for me.

I *believe* I used your code for one of my TH/s, somebody else's (can't remember) for my one other TH/s -- and I don't remember which came first.

I just read in the GM thread that someone had just purchased 10 TH/s as a "small investment".  Lordy! :-)

Anyway, I'm kinda tired of hardware.  I've got USB ASICs out the wazoo and 2 Antminer S3s.  The Antminers are actually pretty awesome.  But you've got to worry about your local internet connection and when you go out of town and something happens, you're out of luck.

I *am* going out of town from Saturday until about January 10th.  When I get back, I think I'm going to seriously try to sell my USB rigs and even the Antminers and maybe move exclusively over to GM.  I'll probably take a big loss on the gear (the Antminer S3s are currently going for almost half what I paid for them just a few months ago, and let's don't even talk about the USB ASICs), but at least I'll be free of the headaches.

Also, the big question is always -- is the payoff better when you *buy* the coin at this point when it's this cheap, or better when you *mine* it?  Or both?

Jelks, in the past I have bought BTC when they were under $300 and waited (a couple of days only) to invest in cloud mining when they were up to $350. The same amount of BTC bought like 50 or 60 GHs more that way. It's all peanuts to those who won't get out of bed for less then a petahash of course, but.. let's face it, a year ago I was struggling to get even a few Satoshis. Now I have enough to invest in UNO mining also, besides investing in BTC. I guess I'm doing some things right at least.
I'm not sure how to scale in mined BTC though. Not sure about anything anymore. I've used a method where part of the mining income goes to a vault for hodling, (and part is exchanged for fiat because what's the point of building up some cashflow if you don't get to enjoy it...) But now I'm thinking those coins just sit there in the dark and do nothing.

Ow, I'm still mining at miningpools.tk, though I'm now the only one. I'll keep it up for a little bit longer so we have an idea at least. But now I'm solo mining the entire pool. 8 blocks pending confirmation right now, and payout is done after confirmation of each block.
I have noticed the pool thingie shows hashrate as anywhwere between 400 and 780 GHs (about 600 in reality), so quite large fluctuations, which may not be too good. Last payout just received, full block of 0.03125. Mine. Mine! All mine!

And yes, I'm open to the idea of the sub-centralized archistic tribal DVC thing. As soon as I understand it...

Apologies for the outage at https://www.miningpool.co

Mining was unaffected but processing of shares and payouts were down. The system is working though all outstanding shares and mined blocks now. There are many millions of shares so it is taking some time.

Have already set up some better monitoring so I can get onto any outages / problems faster.

Also, in the process of adding UNO to http://www.blocktree.io - should be available in the next day or so - parsing the block chain now.

Hope everyone has / had a good Christmas.  Smiley

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

Guys the biggest problem I see with mining this coin, is the hash is badly fragmented across many pools. Due to the high difficulty level, it would be best to try to keep all the hash together. Guys lets vote for a popular pool, and lets stick with it. I have a 12Ths farm I can point at it once its decided.

Lets NOT use https://www.miningpool.co/stats/UNO/ . It shows current hash rate of 10Ths, yet last block was over 120 hours ago.
Also Ive been mining on http://goldmin.es/ sending 3+ Ths for 12 hours straight and NOTHING!
Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953
