IMO, most of the people who gets addicted to gambling are those who also experience to make a fortune out of it. If you know that your money is really hard earned, there is less possibility that you will risk it for profit, you will think of necessities rather than risk it. Or else, if you can't stop yourself from playing, you could try to make a list of your expenses and see how much you are losing. I can say, if you see your losses in your records, you will less likely to spend more from your funds.

The temptation is sometimes unbearable that a gambler will sometimes take a risk. I wouldn;t consider it like he lose control nor him being cursed but it does happen every time when there is the need to make money in the easiest possible. The only exception that is not tolerable is using someone else money, taking a loan to gamble is even too much so all the more if its the money intended for the family's need.

Being addicted in gambling is a really worse situation that others finding ways to borrow some for them to play even no money left on their pockets. That's true even before I experience this also the temptation and the eagerness to play in a gambling to sustain your addiction. Well that's other purpose to make money or to grow their money in an instant way. There's really need of self control, self discipline and determination to our gambling habits.

That is why i am very particular for my friends who borrow money from me,i make sure that the amount will be spent in right way and not for vices because if does?i make sure that they will never had a chance to borrow from me again.

My best solution to prevent to become addictive is to create a paper wallet which I cannot easily reach and transfer 50% of my winnings to. So if I lost after that, I am not able to redeposit all to chase my losses. For me this works very well.

thats an original remedy  . never came across a post or a thread that does this but except to the paper wallet because that was already common  and exept to the withdrawing of funds after winning because so many people have done and recomend this but this is also a fail suggestion because gamblers still find them selve gambling with thier winnings  but for you , you can get discourage for gambling again because transferring a fund from paper wallet to the online wallet is not convinient add in if you put the paper wallet on unusual locations  .

Of course it's easy to sweep the paper when you have directly access to it but if you put it somewhere else, for example at parents house, you wont lose it.

There should be some wallet where you can set a timelock on so you can't withdraw from it till a certain date.

Addicted gambler will never let anyone or any circumstances stop him from betting, even if his money is hard earned or whatsoever, all he have in mind is the satisfaction he'll have when he starts playing gambling. The saddest part is they don't learn from their experiences, which they've lost all of their money most of the time and get mad to their family because they are asking money because it's his responsibility to provide.

There are too many lost souls in gambling, and it keeps on increasing every single time. There is no cure in addiction if you think there is no cure, in short, it's all depends on how strong someone's mental health is to fight the urge to play gambling depending on his life status.

I just noticed one of my experience when I lost a huge amount of money that I send to a wrong address, there's an eagerness in me that I need to take back the money even though it is not gambling. I just think that, what if I lose huge amount in gambling?  Knowing that there's a chance that we can retake our money back, it is the reason why most of the gamblers get bankrupted. But, if we know how to test our limit, we can lower our losses to avoid losing streak. Always think about tomorrow because most of the time, we often have a bad and good day. If we continue to play during these bad days, we will just lost perhaps, all of our assets in gambling.

Since then I do not loose more then a few 100$ a day (Its still a lot but I earn it from referral commissions on the same casinos I play with)

I had some days last year where I lost 15000$ in a single day. That day was one of the worst ever to me.

I am glad you can solve your problem, so now, you don't use too big money to gamble. But still, using $100 a day is a big day, and I think you can lower the amount, maybe it's for $50 a day.

You need to try to cure your addiction to gambling because you already have the worst day of your life, and I am sure you don't want to have the same thing again.

You have a point because I also notice it, I am a gambler but I still have the control of myself on when to stop especially if I am losing my extra money already
that I set aside for my gambling habit.

Being addicted will surely affect our daily living as you have no control to your expenses anymore and there is a big chances that you will be drown to debt in a long process

Well of course gambling makes us addicted after that, then the addiction we will face, but if we pay attention to how we control ourselves, we will be fine and know when to gamble with the remaining expenses if there is no control then it will certainly make us addicted and not. I know the time by playing gambling, so I can still be in control and see how my spending when gambling loses or wins is possible, but I always record expenses from gambling.

That's a clever Idea and you are the only one doing that so far. I see, when you already transferred some BTC to your paper wallet, you will have some hard time getting it back or I may sat it takes a lot of time that would make you stop playing whenever you run out of money in the gambling site without getting some money from that paper wallet. However, If the gambler pursue to play even though he runs out of money from playing and decide to get some BTC in his paper wallet, he may ended up losing everything inside that wallet. You may say this has not happen to you but I was just talking about the tendency that this could be happened if greed cannot be stopped.

So am urging everyone out there playing to play, but try not to make it a lifestyle, try to always play with only money youve decided to loose, play for the fun and don't expect anything back... Play and don't get addicted.

I doubt you don't know you are spreading some negative on betting and gambling platforms with this but no matter how it appears, new gamblers will join. Some people see gambling as business for living and they can't stop to look for means of survival through it.

In the end, it comes to changing habits, and yes, I know habits die hard, but other than that, there's really no stopping an addictive action.

It's not an unusual story, just that most of such stories actually go untold. Plus, if someone were really an addict, letting himself go free is pretty difficult. If he doesn't marry, someday, he will feel lonely without family, and at one point, he wants to end everything by doing something that can make him better. Trust me, when we have much experience, but we don't have family, we will not feel alive, even if we have a family (parents and brother and sister), but the feeling is not the same if we don't have a family (wife/husband and kids).

In that time, he will realize that he spent too much time in gambling, and he will want to fix his life by stopping gambling, and he will think that it is enough for him.

Gambling has a lot of impacts, whether we often play gambling or we play gambling occasionally. And without controlling ourselves and discipline, we will hard to stop unless we have a strong will to stop, which we will feel someday.
