I've got some pretty satoshi sitting on Saints BTTS (only 2/1 though, but that's okay for me) win so how well/badly I do there will determine my Sunday, as we've got some blockbuster meets (well, okay, one) in the league above.

In this Round 39 all matches in Championship are played in Friday, so it should be very interesting day.

It is possible to see both teams scoring in this match, and I dont understand such low odds for home win.
Blackburn vs Ipswich should be a goal fest and I think Ipswich is in better form now, but Blackburn have best striker in Championship.
I would not touch Leeds with this odds against Watford, they play last game in this round and surprise home win or draw is possible for me.

Leicester is playing important match against Bristol City but they have some legal issues with EFL and Premier League that could be a problem for them.
They should still win tomorrow but they are not in good form and I dont expect easy win for them.
I expect to see goals in this match and odds for over 2.5 goals are very good.

Cardiff vs Sunderland
I just have to take this amazing odds on Cardiff, they are in great form now and Sunderland is missing several important players tomorrow including best striker Clarke.
If you want safer bet than aisna handicap is also a good option, even oddss for 1X double chance are nice.

Blackburn Rovers vs Ipswich Town
The title race in the EFL Championship is breathtaking. Leeds and Leicester share the lead with the same number of points. Just one point behind them is Ipswich, the team that has been on fire this season. Ipswich Town have been brilliant throughout the season. They play very fast paced football, have a very good game plan and never stop fighting.

Ipswich need to pay more attention to their defensive line. As a matter of fact, the recent game against Bristol is an example of this. They have twice gone behind and won the game with a late goal. They never go down in games. They fight until the end. Although Blackburn also need points in this match, I think Ipswich will not make any mistakes and my favorite is Ipswich Town.

Note: I myself have given up waiting for Sunderland to return to the Premier League since they relegated back in 2017,

No matter the outcome this is why I love Championship, anyone can win a match, just look at Bristol City who won against Leicester today.
This is now a big chance for Leeds and Ipswich to secure the first place.

Few weeks back I was sure about Leicester City win in Championship and going back into Premier League, but their recent performance is surely creating huge mess-up and now things are going out of the way for them, they have 4 defeats from their last 10 games which are surely big problem just because of this now they are at the third spot even still have chance to jump at the top, but their next opponent is Norwich which is also having good improvement in performance and now having three matches winning streak they are also trying their best for securing their spot for the play-offs which are tough challenge right now.

Currently, we have match between Watford vs Leeds which is leading by Watford by score of 2–1 we have just 15 minutes left in this game and lost could be big setback for the Leeds which is currently at the second spot.

This was a bad round for my predictions in Championship, but it was great for Ipswich who is now on top of the table with 84 points.
Leeds is below then with 83 points and Leicester is not in third place with 82 points, this is going to be amazing to watch until the last round of regular part of the season.
Ipswich deserves first place, they have best attack in league with 81 scored goals, and they lost only 5 matches.
Southampton, West Brom and Norwich are now in play-off positions, but few more teams are not far from that.
No time for rest in Championship, next round is starting in few days.

Round 40 finished and what a round this was!
I didnt have time to post my predictions but expect them back for this weekend.
Ipswich is flying high after winning against Southampton today with goal in the last moments of the match.
They are now first in table with 87 points, but Leeds is just one point below them, after winning against Hull today.
Leicester won against Norwich in first match played today and they are now in third place with 85 points.
All top three teams now assured of at least a play-off place.

notblox1 my Championship afficionado, I saw your comment in Sportsbet ANN and definitely am reminded of this dedicated thread. The game at Saints was a bummer in so many ways. Great football on display, far away from the vile slop that United has been serving for weeks! But to concede the equaliser at the last minute reg, not good. Then of course Monday disappointment after losing to Ipswich, also late. Hammer blow to promotion hopes.

My memory doesn't serve me well but I don't recall three teams all looking to finish with more than 90 points in the Championship. Potentially, all 3 could also finish with 100+ (I didn't check schedule so maybe that's not possible).

Since 1980, I think any team who has finished with 90+ has guaranteed promotion. But it may be an unwanted record if the 3rd team this season loses in the playoff roulette...

Oh yeah for sure, but was more pointing out that 90+ points was still a rarity for 2, let alone 3 teams managing 100 points. Using average PPG, though, the top 2 now are on target for 97 points apiece.

The old 80 points sure thing in Prem League has now become 90+ after City and Liverpool records, but in Championship, it's always been 90 points for guaranteed promotion.

EFL Championship Round 41 is starting today with one match Rotherham vs Plymouth.
Both teams are in bad position and they are fighting for survival, but Rotherham looks like they are almoust relegated and they need a lot of points to survive.
Plymouth form is terrible but they have one of the best goal scorer in league Whittaker, who scored 19 goals so far.
Rotherham is missing many players for this match and they have one the worst attacks and defense in league.
I dont think Plymouth will lose this match and I expect to see goals.

Plymouth didnt lose like I expected but Rotherham didnt score a goal.
There is a hope for Plymouth to survive in Championship.

Round 41 is now complete and we again have switch of positions and some surprise results.
Leicester is back on top after win against Birmingham, but it was not easy for them as they won with goals cored in last few minutes of the match.
Both Leeds and Ipswich lost their away matches, so Ipswich is now in second place and Leeds in third, with only one point difference.
Southampton didnt manage to take advantage and they only played 0:0 draw against Blackburn.
Leeds, Southampton, West Brom and Norwich are not in four play-off positions.
Next round starts in few days during midweek.

Championship Round 42 is starting tomorrow with six matches player in Tuesday and other six day after that.
This can be very important round for title race, play-off positions and for relegation spots.
Millwall is going to be a hard test for Leicester and Leeds appears to have easier job at home but odds are very low.
Rotherham has almost no chance to survive, but there is only 5 point difference between Sheffield on 23rd place and Swansea on 15 place.

Sheffield W vs Norwich
I just cant ignore somehow playing on Norwich with this odds, they are in very good form and they need points to stay in play-off zone.
Sheffield also needs points for survival so they wont give up easily, and they are not bad at home, but they just won one from last five matches.
Norwich is better in h2h matches, they own last year at home, and I think they will do it again, but I am taking the safe approach here.

Leeds United vs Sunderland
I don't think Sunderland have a target in the Championship and will now go into their remaining games without one. Leeds United are very close to the Premier League and every game is a final for them. In Leeds United defense Struijk is injured but they are ready for this match. Leeds United are completely focused on the Premier League. Sunderland are missing a lot of players. Cirkin, Seelt and Huggins from the defense and Rusyn from the offensive line will not play in this match. The situation of Hume, one of the important names of the defense, is uncertain. Leeds United may want to get off to a fast start and finish the job in the first half against a goal less opponent. Leeds United are the clear favorites for this match.

There was a lot of surprise results this round, and I thought this was a winning bet after Norwich had 2:0 advantage, but Sheffield last goal few minutes before end for 2:2 final score.
Leicester lost from Millwall away from home, but they managed to stay in first place because Ipswich and Leeds both played goalless draws.
Next round could be very important, and it is starting this Friday.

Big shocker!
Plymouth just won at home against Leicester with a single goal scored in first half.
Something is not right with Leicester after losing last round against Millwall, they confirmed to not be in form in this crucial part of the season.
Lucky for me I had a feeling they could lose points today so I played Asian Handicap (+0.5) on Plymouth today and I won
This is now a big chance for Leeds and Ipswich to take the first place all over again, but they dont have easy matches at all.
Rest of the matches are played in Saturday and best bet for me is to bet on goals in Leeds vs Blackburn match.

Birmingham vs Coventry
I cant see Birmingham wining any points in this match, they are in awful form and they have a bad h2h record against Coventry.
Coventry need to win to get a chance for Premier League promotion, and they can do it in play-offs.
Safer bet is draw no bet on Coventry, but away win is paying more if you want to take the risk.

Near future with promotion to Premier League behind few matches left, the third top standings teams had bad result last week exactly with Leicester City after losing against Plymouth Argyle. Currently, Ipswich has play more early match for games week 43 and until 51th minutes  match still draw 1-1 against Middlesbrough. Its not good result if Ipswich can't get three points because most close points from Leicester City and Leeds United if can win this game week match.
Three teams still has chance get direct promotion to premier league next season until last game week and who will secure two direct promotion ticket by finish on 1st and 2nd place?
