for me the 5-2 of israel vs. austria was the surprise today. after the extremely good performance of the austrians at the european championship, i would have expected at least a close away win at today's game...

I was just watching the highlights and I can safely say Israel made the game look too easy to score! As far as I know Israel is the better team of the two and seeing that score line makes me think these guys might have underestimated their opponents and thought it was going to be a walk in the park, but unfortunately they were caught napping and punished for it. Austria need to fix there defense and team attitude before their next games.

Israel has been the surprise package in this tournament. I never expected them to get to the second position (behind Denmark). However, the problem for Israel is that their next match is against the top ranking side. Austria is also having a tough match on 7th September against Scotland. Group F is very interesting actually. Denmark is almost assured of the qualification, and the second spot is hotly contested by Israel, Austria and Scotland. Hopefully, we will get a clearer picture by Tuesday.

Switzerland are a good team but lack consistency and I expect the Italians who are the Euro champs to take this one just to remind the world who the real are...champs!! My prediction Switzerland 0 -1 Italy

Turkey has been able to build itself very well. They are not as weak as in the past. As a team they are stable enough now. I don't think they will lose against the Netherlands. The match is likely to be a draw. My prediction is this match will be a draw. The Netherlands is a strong team. They will try their best to win the match.

Actually Türkiye is in a crisis right now. They need at least draw to get out of this crisis. Euro 2020 performance was the worst and since then they missed chances to win a game against Montenegro. They blew a lead against Latvia as well, it could've been five perfect games for them but now it's on the thin edge. If they lose to Netherlands this crisis will be deeper. Hopefully we will watch a good performance and Hakan Çalhanoğlu and company will give their %100 this time. I feel like he is very picky about games and don't give much against weaker teams. Netherlands game will be a big test for him. Burak Yılmaz will be back after card suspension so we can watch an ideal Türkiye squad there.

I also hope that the Turkish players will not disappoint us this time. The Netherlands is much stronger than them though. But there is no continuity of their performance. In one match they beat the opponent with an extraordinary performance, again in the next match they lost points. Turkey has enough chances to draw the match.

Finally. First win booked over the last 7 days, can you believe it? And it still took another penalty and Bale to complete his hattrick in injury time to beat a team who shouldn't even have had a shout at scoring. Welsh team is almost completely hyped if you take away Bale, but really glad to see Daniel James get the assist.

Group B of these World Cup qualifiers for Qatar 2022 is not lacking in surprises: Luis Enrique's Spain is in serious difficulty and is in serious danger of missing the objective.
