What happens now to Neo & Bee, legally?  I understand that, in some jurisdictions, the creditors can start the legal liquidation of the company and the distribution of its assets, even if the CEO is in Shangri-La and the employees have all quit their jobs.  Is that happening in Cyprus?

Not sure about Cyprus, but here the creditors can apply for court-ordered liquidation as long as there is both legal (balance sheet) insolvency as well as commercial insolvency.

Quote
Investors are people who buy equity in a company.

Creditors are people who loan money or goods to a company and thus create liabilities for the company.

Creditors expect and have a legal right to be paid what they loan, including interest.

Investors have no guarantee they will ever see their money again.

When a company is liquidated, creditors have priority over investors in sharing in the proceeds.

Just in case anyone was wondering Wink

Ah yes - Jorge and I were talking about creditors forcing their hand, not investors:) I think it's safe to say that there are plenty of creditors left (not least of which are employees who are owed salaries who, in most places, become preferred creditors in the wake of insolvency) who have a marked interest in forcing this matter and possibly, maybe, creating some residue for the bag-holders.

Its 100% clear that you guys are referring to creditors. I just made the distinction clear to our novice friends (like me) and also the point that if you are an investor you take the risk (which in my book is both correct and fair).

On the NEO front though, the interesting thing now is how many creditors have moved forward (to ask their money).   I for sure hope that the staff at least did.

Also the shares no longer trade:
Time to find Danny and toss him in jail.
Some Silk road sellers were heavily targeted by the authorities, unfortunately many scammers seem to just disappear.

No, they aren't. We still have the shares, they appear in our list of owned shares with the "P" (private) symbol, and we can transfer them to other people's accounts.

Are COG shareholders enjoying the same privileges?  Also, didn't NEOBEE distribute some baksheesh (branded pens, mouse pads, Danny PEZ dispensers - that sort of stuff)?

Sorry, what is this about?  The name is not "Romualdas Antonovicius", the address does not match the one on his CV...

The "Colchester St., Coventry" named on Mr. Antonovicius's CV seems to be this pedestrian lane (imaged in Oct/2012):

Why the witch hunt of someone unrelated to neobee?
It is not a  "witch hunt". There is no indication that Mr. Antonovicius (if it is him that Mr. Brewster referred to) did anything wrong, and it is quite possible that the did not even know that he had become the owner of Future Entertainment Ltd.

Once again, the doings of Mr. Brewster in England are relevant to Neo & Bee since they may clarify the question of whether it was a wel-meaning but ill-founded and ill-managed project, and Mr. Brewster final actions were prompted by its failure;  or whether it was a daring scam from the beginning.

Mr. Brewster may have been honest when he said that he had sold the company responsible for the cancelled music festival (although there seems to be no official record of the sale).  Or that event may have been a forerunner of Neo & Bee.  Finding more about "Ramluda Antonictvius" may answer that.  For example, it the man was no longer in England in 2012...

By the way, here is another note about the canceled festival:
http://sg7.biz/mailer/display.php?List=8&N=261 (Scroll to "Old Grits Diary" section)
Quote
[ ... ] a Mr Danny James Brewster (26) from Sleaford in Lincs who promoted, through his company Future Entertainment Ltd what was heralded as Lincolnshire's largest music festival, The Future Festival. [ ... ] Brewster is unsympathetic, saying that he will not be standing behind the debts because the money was not paid to him but to his limited company, which he says has failed, and has in any case been sold, aspects that he says allow him to walk away from the debts "legally and lawfully"

Checks at Companies House made by Old Grit show that Future Entertainment Ltd (Co. No. 0737 7005) was set up by Brewster 2 years ago as 3LT ltd, changed this name to Echo Security Ltd a year later and to Future Entertainment Ltd a month after that. The company is still active, with Brewster as the sole director and is currently two months overdue in submitting its first set of accounts. [ ... ]

I will state that i got burned for  1/5th of my btc on this N&B "investment". That said, it was not the first nor will it be the last time i lose money... i've capitalized quite a bit more on other projects. What irks me about the whole saga is how the rest of the community that endorsed the project  -Antonopoulos included- just shrugged it off in the same manner that it shrugged off Karpeles...

Survivor bias i guess.

Agreed. I got burned too. Wanted to believe in innocence before guilt for too long.

Would be good if this thread was used to update people about the current police/legal issues.

I lost 1/4 of my BTCs...

I also wanted to give Karpeles the benefit of the doubt for way too long... basically I hate to say it but lambchops was kind of right about the type of investors in this space.

Then again, risk/reward. I did make a ton of BTC from AM last year

No changes as far as I know.
I am sure that their are a bunch of people who will try to press charges
So there  is a chance that they will catch Danny as well and put him in jail eventually.
