Well, whew. I missed all THAT drama. Who says F1 is dull, right? But yeah, to weigh in late, as a very casual watcher, this was lacking in all the things that make sports a spectacle for watching: sportsmanship and competition. I hope every paying fan got money back because that was an insult to everyone who couldn't compete on level ground.
But I think that no one will return any money, and by the way, someone wrote above that TV companies will not be able to receive a penalty, because the contracts probably state what kind of weather conditions are considered "force majeure". At the same time, they even indicate the intensity of precipitation, which is critical for the state of the track, and literally the number after which it will be "force majeure". So enjoy the view of *guy with the chips * instead of the normal view of the race itself ...

I suppose the spectacle of various aspects of the farcical GP makes for entertainment itself. But we get more of that from Twitter and TV. Imagine paying for those tickets to be there, watching... empty tracks and safety cars leading the race for 2 laps;) Cheapest tickets start at about $200++ and then there's other fees, parking etc. Expensive price to watch people eating chips and a record finish of 3 mins 27 secs =p I still think if F1 doesn't offer fans SOME kind of compensation, they'll lose in the long term. The weather wasn't the problem. The handling of the race, and actually saying there was a race, when there absolutely wasn't, that's the problem.

I agree that the weather can be and was only an excuse for the whole show for $ 200 to last 3 minutes and the spectators were encouraged by the passage of safety cars. Perhaps there are some political motives or motives associated with the preparation of teams or in order to pull time for the best winnings of a particular team. However, "force majeure" should definitely be spelled out in the contracts. But there may be a variant of the interpretation of the norm of the contract. So the weather is to blame or the weather is not our fault at all, ordinary viewers will never know. This can only be known by a very narrow circle of people close to the organizers of the race.

Red Bull is looking to bring Alexander Albon back into the Formula 1 world championship next season, with potential places at Alfa Romeo and Williams. Albon had potential after he drove the Red Bull main team car last year, but unfortunately it wasn't enough and he lost his place to Mexican Sergio Perez, and Apparently Williams will have and open seat as George Russell is likely to replace Valtteri Bottas at Mercedes. Bottas is expected to replace Raikkonen, while Alfa's second driver's seat, currently occupied by Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, is in doubt. And on the possibility of Albon being released from his contract if he received an offer from Mercedes or Ferrari, Horner said Red Bull only wanted to return to racing. But today Giovinazzi is hitting back after impressing in the FP1 and FP2 for the Dutch GP finishing in top 10 in both sessions. Hamilton had engine problems in FP2 and he could get a grid penalty if they switched to a newer Power Unit so that will make his chances less to win this GP especially when you look at Ferrari doing so well on practice, it's true that they always give fans hope after Practice sessions but this is a considered a new circuit for F1 as the last time they raced here was in 85 so a lot of things can happen.

According to some news sources, Alexander Albon is going to fill George Russell's place as he is preparing for a Mercedes move to replace Valtteri Bottas. Hulkenberg must be disappointed after seeing that Albon is chosen for the Williams seat. And after Bottas couldn't put up a really good fight against Hamilton so far, it seems like he doesn't have any credit left at Mercedes from now on. After Raikkonen announced that he was going to retire at the end of the season, Bottas seemed very likely to take his place. I'm looking forward to watching Russell in the Mercedes seat in the next season. And by the way, Hamilton doesn't seem very happy after hearing that Russell is going to replace Bottas. Now, he will have a real challenge at the team.

Oh, it's zandvoort day and to be honest this circuit doesn't belong to the current F1 cars and style but I get it ...the hype around the track was build for 2 years so we needed to have at least 1 race here. Besides this , I don't think we will visit this circuit in the next coming years as almost everyone in the F1 paddock are really complaining about the track.
Regarding odds , it looks like Max has 1.39 ...and it's so damn risky to take it as I might go with Bottas and 8 odd.

yeah on raceday the track was not interesting one and the overtaking was rare especially in the front and other then the few overtakes on the starting lineup and Perez using the speed and his skills to drop his car from last to 8th. There have been no changes in the ranking of top 5 cars because Verstappen was too quick to catch for Hamilton and Bottas clearly can't catch Hamilton especially when his car is OK Gasly surely can't keep up with Bottas and Leclerc relayed on a kne stop strategy that he didn't gain from as Gasly also managed to stay over 40 laps with Medium tyres. So all over the race was definitely better then Spa but it was not too interesting one to watch. Now Heading to to 2 races next event in Monza where we gonna have sprint race Saturday and next day is the main event. I think it will be more entertaining.

I am amazed that it takes so long for people to hate Perez. Everyone hated Bottas all over the year. nevertheless, he got on the podium six times, only by playing 12 races. I don't hate Perez, he came from near my homeland. But you know, I haven't liked his game in the last few weeks. After that, Bottas seems to be a much better racer than him.

It proved to be a 2nd Monaco track as nothing really great happened during the race but the fans were electrified and kept the show going on. I great victory for Max as even if it looked easy he had to defend twice in from of both Lewis and Bottas so it was a hard working victory for him and well deserved.

Wow! What a finish in the Netherlands! A double dutch special as the announcer had mentioned for Mr. Max Verstappen winning on his home land track. Well done! Only managed to catch a bit of the beginning lap when Bottas was leading him and hamilton early on. Then at lap 70 nearing the end of the race. He was well ahead of Lewis by a good 3 full seconds so you knew it was done by then. And yeah steve, the announcement of Kimi Räikkönen retiring was some upsetting news. A well worn veteran in the F1 world of racing will be sorely missed. Red bull was looking to signing him: https://www.pitpass.com/70645/Red-Bull-held-talks-with-Raikkonen

Have you guys seen the latest news about Valterri Bottas? It seems that he will join Alfa Romeo this 2022 and his seat will be replaced by George Russel! This is actually some great news considering that the skills and technique of Bottas is somehow hampered and contained due to the influence of Hamilton. Now that he is in Alfa Romeo, he can actually race on his own without worrying too much about his teammate! As for George Russel, though many have argued that he doesn't deserve the seat on Mercedes, I am still happy for him as he is now on a superior car. I just really hope that his seat in Mercedes won't be another Rosberg vs Hamilton feud where they both clashed as teammates. 1 Photo taken from: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.breaking-alfa-romeo-announce-valtteri-bottas-to-join-the-team-in-2022-on.6Ezs9zhh2jV1ceMcHs3e4S.html?fbclid=IwAR3o0JE45kV2byGXRLjRT7jjeYRWYHMqJKZ6UGTCF5gt34fJJXI9tOewcxE

Actually Max really deserved this victory, Winning at his home ground is definitely something special, fans have given him a lot of encouragement and Max's victory while Bottas & Lewis were there - it's very good for his carier because Bottas and Lewis are in very strong form. Winning over Bottas and Lewis is definitely something special. Anyway congratulations to Max.

@qwertyup23 Yep, I have heard about the breaking news. Valtteri Bottas is finally setting sail for Alfa Romeo. He didn't have always bad memories at Mercedes of course. I have no doubt that he is welcomed here still. And Mercedes really wanted him to stay before this season. Bottas has given it a try one last time. But he still can't get what he wants. I mean we didn't see the Rosberg effect. Maybe Russell can put up a great fight against Hamilton in the next season. All of the drivers will race in completely new cars. We might see a really interesting season.

Imho it's not that much a great news than a basically normal development. All I can say is "finally, end of drama". I am not convinced that the development is that great for George Russel, but time will tell. He clearly deserves a good car and he has shown that he can do wonders in a Mercedes.. when Lewis was not there. Let's see how the things will go when Lewis is present, especially as lately he seems to be needing badly any help he can get against Max. Of course, that may be or may not be the same next year. I am more curious who will fill the "missing spot" (left by Russel). Will it be Alex Albon or will it be somebody else? That part may be a bit complicated...

It will be the end of a misery for Valtteri Bottas after leaving Mercedes. Because he is not cared as much as Hamilton at this team. I know that Hamilton is faster than him and it is critical that he gets the most points as he is in the title race with Max Verstappen now. But I'm pretty sure that they don't have the exact same car in the races. Hamilton's car is a little faster than Bottas'. On the other hand, Bottas still has made simple mistakes also in many races. I wish him good luck about his fresh start at Alfa Romeo.

Bottas joining Alfa Romeo is a very good fresh start for him. His role in Mercedes was like the second man where he backed up Hamilton. In this way, his true potential was not uncovered. Now that he is no longer under the shadow of Hamilton, I am hoping that he would do really well next season. And about Russell taking his spot in Mercedes, whether that was a good decision or not we will see in the future. But till then, we are up for an exciting season up ahead.

Bottas is 32 years old, next year he will be 33, I am not saying he should retire because obviously he got a multiyear deal however it looks as if dude could actually be at the top of the hill and now going down that hill slowly. Younger generations of talents could be a lot better to test out, like Zhou Guanyu is a Chinese racer and he is a good racer as well, so that could be a lot more viewers from China if he ever breaks into F1 as well, good for many teams.
F2 suppose to be the place that young racers end up racing to get a place at F1, but lately there are older players there as well, and when they get old enough they leave for another racing tournament, look at nick de vrys dude was a great racer and definitely deserved more chance at F1 but he wasn't given that so he is at le mans.

We are getting close to a new action in the Monza GP this time. This is one of the most special tracks for me. I would expect Ferrari cars to be much faster now. It is their home Grand Prix in the end. It would be nice to see a Ferrari driver winning the race. Of course, there is a slight chance for it but Red Bull and Mercedes should really mess up in this race for that. I'm favoring Verstappen here and I think that he will take the pole position and win the race both.
