Because Ferarri is being a Ferarri thing, It's normal for us every week to see a new kind of mistake from them. However, congratulation on the Ferarri we just unlocked a new strategy. Bring only 3 tires, must a new plan of Binoto. I hope from the last few incidents, Main Headquarters Ferarri will take some action to have some new changes on the team from Team Principle, Strategy, and Pit Crew.

Even Rosberg commented on this mistake, a crew/team from FP2/FP3 can do a better performance rather than Ferarri's current team.

Mercedes strategy was pretty bad. But while Russell was smart enough to get advantage of the pit lane situation, Hamilton wasn't.

Im really tired off people who comment with the "paper of monday".

So for you a team who makes a strategy to win the race with a car 0.5 or a second slowly, and was brilliant and ruined for one thing outside of their thinking (VSC of Tsunoda) its a bad strategy.

Second you are thinking with a loser metality, Mercedes dont. They want to WIN the GP, if they put soft tyres what can do? NOTHING, Verstappen was ahead with the same tyres as you and a car more more fast than you. SO.....

In fact Ruseel making that decision (and they giving liberty to make that) blow the "plan" because Russel has to be a plug in the relaunch to give space to Hamilton to try to make a gap and with a lot of luck win the race.

Other thing more, MERCEDES WORKS BEST WITH HARDEST COMPOUND. And they have really trouble puttin in the correct window the new tyres, so again if they change the two mans tyres, maybe the two can be a disaster for this tyre temperature trouble they have.

So i repeat with the result confirmed all have the true but in that moment when you have to make the decision its not easy, and more if you dont have the fastest car by far.

I think after the race and seeing the images also Hamilton will agree with the team.

And for them the final decision was. Maintain position in a track hard to overtake with Hamilton and try with the other driver the fastest compound. But clearly Russel dont have good relauch and dont have enough pace with the soft tyre, so GG. (You can  see Russel relaunch was pretty bad he nearly lose the position against the Ferrari).

I agree also the FIA its responsibile with one thing. HOW IN THE EARTH the top category of racing doesnt have enogh space between team boxes, its hilarious the thing of one man having to run the hoses of the team ahead of the one its making th pit stop for not crash with them, WHY so little space? but yes after crash happens put the board "safety first", come on man!

For those who are interested in the ongoing backlash with what's happened in the recent GP, Nico Rosberg has commented on Ferrari saying

"Oh my goodness," he said about the Ferrari pitstops. "Mattia Binotto keeps saying 'No, no, we don't need to make any changes, everything is going well'. When is the day coming?

"It's not possible – even Formula 2 teams or F3 teams do a better job at their strategy and pitstops than Ferrari.

"You go to the pits and there's no tyre there in a normal race? At some point they really need to start making some changes."

That's gotta be quite a punch to the face being on television and just being criticized for what happened. I like how Binotto is really taking care and being responsible for what's happening with the current

"First, I think it is so easy to speak when you are outside [of the paddock]. It is easy to criticise," he said.

"But we will not change people: that is my answer to Rosberg. We have got great people and it has been proven that what is more important in sport is stability and that we make sure we are improving day-by-day and race-by-race.

"We have got great people in the team and I have no doubt on that. It takes years and experience for all teams to be at the front, and I think there is no reason why it should be different for ourselves."

I'm not sure but I just admire how he is handling the situation they really need to do some changes with that situation knowing that they are the top contenders when it comes to the current season. If they want to be more competitive, they need to do something.

While I could have been wording that better (only the ending part of the strategy was bad / missing), if you start with insulting people that will never prove your point.

If you make a strategy for winning when your car is that slow, unless you have Ayrton Senna at the wheel it means that you've smoked the wrong pot (and please don't come with bedtime stories about how good driver is Lewis).
Compared to the golden days they were pretty much expecting the unexpected and were one step in front of RBR, now they've adapted poorly. Leaving Hamilton with medium tyres when pretty much everybody had softs simply cannot end good. On soft tyres people get much faster (was it 1 second less per lap?) and they know all that. Indeed, the only good window for that may have been when the pack went through the paddock and maybe changing tyres for both pilots then would have been bad for Russell for short term, at least.
But if they would have been doing that, both cars could have been ending before Ferrari - which is the team they are battling now, not RBR.

With their winning mentality (lol to that), they've screwed it up. Just look at Hamilton swearing at near the end of the race.
They've lost valuable points. They're only lucky that Ferrari wants to win the title for the team that sabotages itself best over the history of F1.

OK, that does make sense for long term.. and would have if safety cars (virtual or not) wouldn't have been spoiling their plans. And in F1 they pretty much have to expect the unexpected and take advantage of everything they can. Well, they didn't. In the last laps they could have had a chance for holding positions only with softs, period.

While keeping the team together is a nice thought, while he is fighting for his team, this, instead of getting people more focused into doing their job perfectly, has the opposite effect: the team seems to be sloppier and sloppier with every week passing by. The strategy seems to be missing (I mean, not long ago they asked the pilot how he wants the strategy?!), the tyre changes go randomly bad, .. it's clearly easy to comment from outside, but something does look wrong there.

The track in Monza is known to be the fastest racing track. With long straight sections. And here the power of the motors will be just important. Although the latest rule changes regarding the elimination of dolphining, I think they can confuse the picture in racing on this track. But it's still interesting to see who will be the favorite because these two aspects of the machines can give all riders a surprise.

The next race is already here and I am certain Ferrari are ready for action!
Just hope their crew and drivers can recover from all that has occurred at the last race and can bounce back with something for this one in at Pirelli Gran Premio d'Italia.

We are "Tifosi" are gonna watch on Friday-Saturday and avoid Sunday ~XD Fun-fact, the bush who are carry a power unit "Ferarri" is broken. I hope this is a sign, we got a bad luck on that truck and on the race the bad luck is gone ~XD.

I don't want to believe that Binotto really thinks that things are under control in the team now. He can't be satisfied with his crew right now I just don't want to accept this nonsense.

I think that he is talking like this for now because he doesn't want the team to lose their focus completely before the season ends. I'm pretty confident that we will see important changes in the team. We just need to see this otherwise Ferrari had better forget about the next season too. Maybe some of you can think that I'm prejudiced but you also see what is happening these days. How can a team do this kind of simple mistakes while it is a very important season for them? If Binotto is really happy with the people working here then who's at fault?

I don't know what happens there. My current scenario is that with the huge development for this year and the problems afterwards, Ferrari may be short with money and try to do all they can with the current crew to not need more funds there too.

I've read some weak explanations today:

"The call to the driver in this case came at the right time. Carlos had no problem coming into the box. He knew he was coming in and he had enough time to make the pit lane.

"The call to the pit crew usually comes around 23 to 24 seconds [before the pit stop], but in this case, because we were reacting to Perez, it came later.

"We only gave our pit crew 17 seconds to react! Our pit crew need this time to come out into the location and be ready when the driver comes.

"To make matters worse, at Zandvoort we have a very narrow pit lane, and this meant that the rear-left tyre fitter had to go around the whole pit crew to make it eventually to his corner.

Imho it's a weak explanation because 24 - 17 = 7 seconds, while the pit stop was more than 10 sec extra (12.7s total). Imho they should have done a couple of rehearsals/drills to avoid this, especially knowing it's an oddly narrow garage.
Of course, some will argue that's easy to tell from outside. But don't they have a lot of well-paid people (including Binotto) who should think on all this way before they happen?!

Well Monza a few days onwards, i nearly forgot we have the three in a row races.

This is an important race for Tifosis indeed. It hasn't been a good season for Ferrari so far I'm afraid but they can at least fight for a win here. However the continuing durability problems are still a big hindrance for them. Leclerc can't keep up with Verstappen for a long time in a race. For example the previous race finished literally after 10 laps or so. Verstappen can easily open the gap with him in a short time. The latest changes by FIA helped Mercedes start to keep up with Ferrari. The latest races are a good proof for that as they were even better than Ferrari.

This week we can see another rivalry between Ferrari and Mercedes rather than a Ferrari - Red Bull one. I'm not sure about only Perez for Red Bull. Because the team gave Perez an old engine unit for the Dutch GP which caused him to fall behind too much. I don't know if they take a similar action again but I don't expect so.

I wish to see something interesting and this can only work if Ferrari is on their good days. I don't even care if it's Ferrari - RBR or Ferrari - Mercedes.. or even both (heh...).

I'm not sure about only Perez for Red Bull. Because the team gave Perez an old engine unit for the Dutch GP which caused him to fall behind too much. I don't know if they take a similar action again but I don't expect so.

Iirc at some point Checo has been asking he no longer gets certain updates in his car, since it's now stable and he's comfy/happy in there. I may not remember all of it, but the lack of upgrades may be related to that. Or did he reconsider that decision and I've missed it?

I never said he's bad. Just he's not best (there's a very good chance there's no "best" at all in current line up).

Ferrari might do a very good job in free practice sessions. They can do the same in qualifying also but I'm not so sure about the race. Because we all know that Ferrari still have a problematic car compared to Red Bull. They are even slower than Mercedes these days. Unless things go their way this weekend neither Leclerc nor Sainz have much chance to win here. We saw how quickly Leclerc was far behind Verstappen after not so many laps were left behind in the previous race.

The thing I hope to see from Ferrari the most is that they don't make simple mistakes at least in this race. If they do the same in this special track for them then it would be much more embarrassing than the other races. Having clean races can still help them be on podium at least. As for Russell, he is the most consistent driver now and it wouldn't surprise me to see him on podium. But it depends on Mercedes' strategies with Hamilton also.

Let me be honest with you.

Ferarri & Mercedes take the lead on Practice & Qualification, after that Redbull takes the podium during the race week. Monza was the temple of speed, even me as Ferarri fans by seeing the performance from Redbull on Spa & Zandvoort.

We all know, Redbull power unit performance is on goat mode. Monza need a good speed, even Leclrec say he not really confident due Monza track need a good speed since is the temple of speed.

Because we see from a few race before, (Elit on Practice & Qualification but Hard on Podium) ~XD. So, as the fans always make a joke. If you want to see Fearri is leading come only on Friday & Saturday.

I think Ferrari can take the win at his home race.

Obviusly, if they dont make any mistake.

But i dont see the clear advantage in favour of them, so they have to take care of RedBull and Max Verstappen.
One thing we have to notice its, in this track the 0.1s are like 0.2 in other, because of the high speed straights and the short of the track.

There are so many grid penalties already before the Monza GP. The current list is like this:

- Verstappen to take 5-place penalty for changing his internal combustion engine
- Perez to take 10-place penalty for installing a brand new engine
- Sainz to take 25-place penalty for changing to a new energy store
- Hamilton to start from the back of grid for changing his power unit
- Tsunoda to take 10-place penalty after he violated a rule in the last race
- Bottas to take 15-place penalty for making a similar change to Sainz

This might seem like an opportunity for Leclerc but there is no need to be hyped about this. Because Ferrari are still not faster than even Mercedes these days. For now, Ferrari seem like they are faster than Red Bull and Mercedes both in the practice sessions. But this can be very misleading at the same time. Red Bull might be saving their real power for qualifying and race as always. At least Ferrari can do their best this weekend to make their fans happy.

So, we have Leclerc (pole position) and Russell (6th) in the front row. I like that beginning of the race. All the drivers which were between them are moved back because of penalties (Hamilton, Perez, Sainz & Verstappen). Who knows for how long they will stay on the first positions - maybe until the first corner only

I am really glad Russell will have a good starting position.
