Efforts of holding wasted

It is better to hold coins that has an active community and are constantly being developed. Those are the coins that will give you long term profit.

I've used to be an EOS holder. Bought this altcoin when the price was around $18-20. This altcoin has "active community and are constantly being developed", but during 2 years of holding, I see not chances of getting good profit from holding. Same refers to significant part of old altcoins on the market. All old altcoins barely managed to get closer to ATH. I've exchanged my EOS to BTC and managed to almost cover losses thanks to Bitcoin price growth. I would say that effort from holding is lost or it works only with top50-100 from CMC.

I want to believe some of those coins where from may be bounties and Airdrops.  Most of the ones I HODL from back then do not even come close to that amount so I would say you are in luck  and again if you do really decide to invest for a long HODL, definitely top coins are the bast option for me even though I might invest in one or two low market-caps but that's it only the top Alts are for the long HODL.

I had this advice from reading here in the forum where Pro hunters sells 80% of their gained coins as long as there's a good price and hold the rest for future. I followed this rule and be gaining hundreds of dollars per bounty and still owns some of them. Another one is monitor the possibilities of scamming. Sell immediately when project teams are being sketchy.

I think you are wrong at the time of investment. If you buy dent for example then you did Dollar cost average ( which is good for investing long term ) you possibly buy dent at its lowest price and now you possibly have large ammount of Dent. It gives you more then 300% return. Dont ever do an all in strategy for altcoin or you will be lose much money.

The more secure choice currently is to put distinctly with top coins in coinmarketcap and exchange them to acquire more. It's not, at this point prudent to hold except if its btc and we're too occupied to even consider exchanging. It's ideal to place your interest in something that essentially affects the crypto world, as Bitcoin. It's better that way and dissimilar to different coins that are just for siphon and dump plans or something.

Therefore, we must carefully select all tokens in which we invest and it is preferable quality instead of quantity. And since we only have good and prosperous tokens and coins, only then is it really good to have patient and keep them for a long time without succumbing to the moment of desire to get rid of them.

I have also been investing for a long time, but I choose only a few coins that would bring me a profit and invest larger amounts in them than to invest in many coins a little less.

If the altcoins you earn from the Airdrop maybe you have held them in vain for several years, but if the Altcoins you earn from investing in 2018 might be that you are now instantly rich. because most altcoins have now shown themselves as virtual currencies.

You should always assess and observe the coins that you have in your portfolio and better get updated to better see if the ones you were holding are worthy to be hold or you should just let them go for good. It is just fine to wait and hold for a long time as long as you are sure that you are expecting it to be favorable with you but if you are not seeing nothing positive about it, then it is time to just better let go of it to lessen your stresses on thinking what you should do about it. Be wise on picking or choosing the coins you want to hold because not all are good for long term holding so instead of wasting your time waiting for it, just redirect your attention into those valuable and profitable coins that are worthy of your time.

Hold coins that you Believe has future, then Sell those you are not..

Because that will save your time and will save your funds also.

Holding in cryptocurrency is decided in profit. But which coin you want to hold depends on the performance of that project. That is how fundamentally strong the project. Is the project owner active? The price of some project or coin was 4 - 5$ and now the price of that coin is below 0.01$. Holding such a coin is a risk. But not all coins are like that. It is beneficial to choose a fundamental strong project, check what is the main purpose of that coin, invest in such coin and hold it. For example, if ADA, XLM, DOT, WABI, WRX etc...had been held till now, the profit would have been 5x - 10x.I have also held

Not always wins because not all coins that you do tend to hold will really be rise up in the future.It is a bit needing some luck when choosing on those projects because it will be

True, not all coins that are held will rise up and give a lot of profit. the most important thing before hold is to analyze the progress of their social media project. Do you think holding a large market coin like Binance will guarantee you will be profitable in the future?

If you hold shitcoin they will see something worse. Lots of coins have fled the market with investors' money. This is exactly why investors stay away from such yen. There are thousands of such examples in this crypto market. Most of those who are losing capital invest in such coins.

The majority of the crytocurrency in the market are rising their price value in the future. Therefore, it is still good to hold the coin that are listed on top in the market and CMC is one of the legit and trusted platform source to find out in which coins are latest on top and has a potentials in the future as well.

yes, not all altcoin will increase very high, because for now altcoin that can increase very high are altcoin that do have a great project, so if you want to invest in altcoin for the long term, then I recommend you to invest in altcoin that are in the top 100 on coinmarketcap, because the price will definitely increase very high and give you a big profit.

if that was the case, opportunities were extremely rare, and if it was really effective then surely everyone would get rich quick. It is true that cryptocurrency is full of surprises, even underestimated projects can be extraordinary in the future, but remember, projects that look amazing today can also be bad in the future. That's also true. Why even buy a coin or participate in a bounty campaign of a coin that you don't know whether the coin is going to rise. It takes a bit of research. I learned this because back in the days I have joined a campaign where a token or the team just scammers. They didn't even say goodbye to their telegram but just completely disappear. If you have a coin right now that you think may really not go up then just sell it and just keep trading to earn.
