After the PGL Wallachia Season 6 yesterday. We have a quick start again by tomorrow for dota 2 fans and bettors, and that's the Blast Slam V. Just after the IV and its success, we're quickly moving to the next phase of it which is the V. Here are the participating teams on this tournament and I think that everyone knows or have the same opinion that the underdog here is the team of Execration.

For some reason, the image broke, but after checking their roster and the teams playing in the tournament, they're definitely the underdog and one of the teams likely not to make it out of the group stage.

The one positive thing for them is that the games are in a best-of-one format, and who knows, maybe they could pull another upset or two similar to their win against Spirit in Blast Slam IV.

I hate BO1 format, this comes mostly to coin toss. So many things that can go wrong and I don't know how to bet on it profitably. Odds on big favorites are way too small while those not so big favorites can easily loose. This time I tried taking small outsiders for a win, seems like a value bet for me. Let's see how it will work on Day 1.

Compared to the other top teams, they sure are the underdog on this tournament. But I agree that with this bo1 format but with a lot of games per day, they could really pull off some good games here. I remember them made me win a x10 during a live bet and I was able to do that when they're about to lose but did a come back. So, I guess that despite this thought of ours for them, if it's about gambling, we can actually gamble with our money with them depending on who's the opponent that they have. Like on day 1, they have 3 matches.

That is true. BO1 is a really weird format to play on, it force a team to give their best and yeah its entertaining to watch but its horrible to bet. Favourites are getting pretty low odds and even if we parlay them up, the odds still sucks

Another thing worth keeping an eye on here is the Chinese teams, because the LAN venue is set in Chengdu, and we've seen how they can step up whenever they play in their home ground.

Personally, I’m going to wait for the playoffs before deciding which team to bet on. Betting during the BO1 stage is way too risky teams can draft something completely different just to hide their real strat or just wanna test some new heroes.

Chinese teams haven’t been performing very well lately, XG is pretty much the only exception. There are other teams that are a lot more exciting to watch right now, like Team Falcons, Tundra, and MOUZ especially after their last Major win. I think I’ve got a bit of PTSD when it comes to rooting for Chinese teams.

The decisive matches have now begun in the third stage of the major tournament. The Huns will face Lynn Vision in a do-or-die match. I believe Lynn Vision's opponents were tougher, so I see them as having a slight edge. Looking at their previous encounters, Lynn Vision clearly has the upper hand.
In the other elimination match, GamerLegion, who performed unexpectedly well, will face Rare Atom. In my major pick'em, I had GamerLegion at 3-0, but they lost in a very strange way. In my opinion, they put themselves at risk by losing to weaker opponents. I think they could make a comeback from here, and at worst, they'll advance from this stage with a 3-2 result.

There is Starladder Budapest Major for CS2 that just started yesterday.

This one has stages 1-3 then the playoffs and this one runs until December 14th.
So more than likely last major in CounterStrike for the year.

Just noticed FURIA is one of the teams involved so I would assume they would be one of the favorites to win this one from winning the last tournament.

I am watching Execration against Tundra and it's in 22-minute mark of the game and it's already one sided. They're having a hard time against Tundra, of course this is a tier 1 team compared to them. But this is just the first day and there's more for them to learn. But the game hasn't ended yet, we'll see if they're going to have a great back but the heroes of Tundra is better with that Abaddon carry of Pure against Palos' DK.

Guma having issues with T1 management, well if they can't protect his mental health then choosing peace is sometimes the best decision. I think it's worth it for me, I don't want to get stressed in a team where its fan is very toxic and the management aren't doing anything to stop it.

Man, those die-hard T1 fans are just too much. But apparently, it's the management's decision not to renew Gumayusi's contract, regardless of whether he wanted to stay or not.

Yep, tbh the LCK is becoming like the kpop culture, that's why it's getting toxic due to die-hard fans that wanted to control the lives of their idol. The cancel culture is pretty insane in korea, that's why it's fine for guma to choose peace than playing stressfully in a team where he isn't protected.

And let's be honest, Peyz is really a good ADC too, maybe T1 is eyeing for a stacked team, if a good player adapted how T1 circus playstyle, you know it's gonna be a domination. Yep, faker already had a million-dollar contract before the LCK implemented the salary cap, that's why all the money are going to faker's pocket.

Also keep in mind that Peyz is still young. If T1 can properly mold such a talented player, he could definitely turn into an even better ADC than Gumayusi. It might be hard to meet the expectations though, he's got some really big shoes to fill. As for Faker's salary, it's no surprise. He's the one who brings in the money anyway because sponsors are mainly after him. He's the goat of esports after all.

Yep, he's a perfoming ADC in Peyz, and I bet he can do what Guma did but of course I want to root for a better team next year such as HLE, we need a good narrative to build up the community, ofc it'll hype us in sports betting.

Also, HLE already announced Guma as their ADC and Kanavi as jungler, another stacked team.

Lots of interesting rosters to watch out for next year. I'm also excited to see how LR would perform in the LEC

Actually, LCK is the only region that's very interesting, LPL organizations are now pulling out because they're focusing now on their own country game which is HOK (Honor of Kings), it's a good investment than Riot Games. But yeah, I'm still hoping for AL comeback, they made a good run this worlds 2025.

Having a look at the upcoming matches for today didn't notice any in the lineup.
One of the first match played on opening day was an real upset with NRG beating FaZe. But those were BO1 matches.


Today should continue off being BO3 with FlyQuest, GamerLegion, M80 and The Huns all winning their matches yesterday.

I think Faze will now secure a win against RED Canids and leave their chances to the final match. Faze is one of the teams that has delivered truly unexpected performances. They were perhaps one of the teams that many people didn't pick in their predictions. There were matches where both broky and frozen performed really poorly. Their own poor performance was a major factor in the team not winning the match. Now they will play a do-or-die match against RED Canids. I don't think they will be eliminated from the Major, and they will win this match.

I know that it sounds funny and they're not this kind of team that just gives up, XG is known to be fighting til' the end or they have just been disappointed on how XCTN got the lead in the early game. Now, this is going to give that thoughts of the dota 2 betting community that they're probably just xiaobet on XCTN for that 3+ odds. Or it's simply that Ame got titled.

Yesterday there was a game between Brazilian teams and today there is another one. Currently, the game between Imperial and The Huns is being shown, and Imperial won the first map. They are doing well so far in this second map, with a 9-7 score. They just need to control the game and they will win.

You got me looking up this matchup after mentioning how quick this game ended, and it somewhat made sense why XG tapped out, when their lineup relies on the early snowball of the Lone Druid. Losing all three lanes, and they're suddenly trailing by 5k within the first ten minutes.

The game state was a nightmare after the laning stage, and even if they held on, they're probably just waiting for the inevitable since their carry falls off heavily in the late game.

That was one of the best series we've had in stage 1. Red Canids had the opportunity to close it out in a 2-0 fashion, but they failed, and FaZe ran away with it once the momentum shifted to their end.

Frozen popped off like crazy and needed a lifegame to bring FaZe that win. Tomorrow, they face another Brazilian team (Fluxo), and it could be another cinema series if they start slow again.

I never bet on group-stage matches because something like that are so common. What XG did was didn't pick their comfort or signature heroes, which put them at a disadvantage and even a team like Tidebound can beat XCTN. It’s no longer surprising to see high odds and then watch a Chinese team pick strange drafts and play in an unusual way.

I'm expecting FaZe to finally win their last match. I'm very curious as to why FaZe, who are facing a do-or-die match against Fluxo, are performing so poorly. It must be said that they only managed a narrow victory against Red Canids. There's a problem within the team, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I still think it could be down to Karrigan, but we must also say that Broky is playing poorly as an awper. If the opposing team's AWPer plays well, they definitely gain an advantage against FaZe.
I also think NRG will beat Imperial. It was a miracle that NRG made it this far because their coach was playing instead of nitr0. I think they have the potential to beat Imperial and will advance to the next stage.

Was watching the Ninjas in Pyjamas match with Fluxo and they are a Brazilian team aswell from what ralle14 mentioned too in the post below yours.
Thought I saw arT on their team and remember him being on MiBR for all those years in their hay days.

First matchup of the day are with Faze Clan vs Fluxo, so we will just see if the top tier CS team are going to have just as hard a time they had with Red Canids yesterday.
The rest of the schedule are with NRG vs Imperial and Parivision vs Legacy who lost badly yesterday to B8.
