The qualifier is now complete for the DreamLeagueSeason 26, all of the regional slots have been filled except for the two, the Asian Champions League for China and then for a slot for another regional qualifier wiiner. I watch the last game for this qualifier with Wildcard and Shopify Rebellion. The first 2 maps were taken by SR but then WC got a come back and made it 2-2. In the end, I thought that WC will take it because there were dominant from early to mid game not until the morph of SR was in action and got enough farm, despite that they're lagging, they're the first one to take barracks. I think the turning hero and mvp here is the KOTL, 2 games of WC that won them is with that hero. And the 5th map, SR took that KOTL and that heal it provides is brokenly annoying.

And this tournament starts next month. So while we're waiting for that, we've got some tournaments happening now and ESL ONE Raleigh will start next week.

Thanks for the update passwordnow! Was wondering when this season's DreamLeague tournament was going to start and since they were done the qualifiers thought maybe it would begin soon. But an entire month away will start to make the fans waiting for it move to other genres for their esports action fix.
Atleast we still have the ESL in Raleigh to look forward too the following week.

Team Spirit statement about DL 26 was that they prefer to miss this season in order to be more prepared for Riyadh but that event is still months away so my guess there is something else that made them cancel their invitation on this tournament and has nothing to do with preparation for Esports World Cup.

I don't think that it is Riyadh Masters that they're trying to prepare but the ESL One Raleigh which is lock and loaded and about to happen next week. It's a good decision for them to leave the DL 26 and just went straight to the ESL One. Although the main event is going to happen next month, they are in preparation and focus now for next week's ESL. It's a good decision for them, they're more dedicated on the ESL and probably trying to avoid being burnt by continuous participation of these majors.

Yea you are right but I miss the old Spirit when they were participating in all tournaments to prove they are the best team in the world by far but like you said , they must be a bit burned out from playing so many official Dota 2 games and try to qualify for all of them. Hopefully , they will comeback stronger than ever for Esports World Cup and winning it once again ? because it's well known that Team Spirit is all about big money prizes and World Cup is currently better in prizes than The International.

We still have a month for the main tournament and the qualifiers was just done. And so, we're moving on for the next week with the ESL One Raleigh. I think that I'll bet a lot on that tournament and I'm preparing myself for another streak, either losing or winning. But whichever is that, I am just so excited to see it happen.

It's several months ago but they're composed and good now. They have a good roster right now and I think they're in the form to take this ESL Raleigh but, a lot of strong teams are participating here so that's very exciting.

PGL Bucharest starts tomorrow guys and I have a feeling Falcons are coming to take revenge for Cluj-Napoca where they lost the finals against Mouz.

Unfortunately Vitality , Spirit are once again not participating when it comes to PGL and I honestly have no idea why they refuse to play because it's an S tier tournament and the prize pool is also the same as ESL so I think it's just a management decision to make both teams skip this tournament which is kinda sad for the fans .

Ah so that's why top tier teams won't compete in PGL ...but that is sad because PGL is a top tier tournament and hopefully in the near future PGL will do the same like ESL and Blast.

That is just crazy to hear as boltz had mentioned.
But it all comes down to the money when top tier teams are to play in these tournaments.
If the money isn't there they will just sit this one out and wait for the next one.

It is sad to see but I believe this trend will also start with CounterStrike too.
The players won't just play for the love of the esport but for the bottomline instead.
Just look at S1mple with the photo I posted of him riding in his brand new Ferrari and not even playing on the team that signed him Team Falcons.

3Dmax and Astralis are currently on the 3rd map - Inferno. 1st map was taken by 3DMax and then 2nd was for Astralis. Looks like the 3rd map is going to be taken by 3DMax. I'm not a fan of this team but I like graviti, it seems that this guy is how I used to play during the early CS1.3.

There have been some interesting things going on in CS2 recently...

The whole roster and the coach of Eternal Fire have officially been signed by Aurora team.

This came as a big surprise to me first. But I understood the reason later. They weren't able to attract any proper sponsorship to the team. Gambling companies from abroad for example. Because most probably the government was going to fine them seriously because of it's being illegal in the country.

The Saudi organization is reportedly in advanced discussions with G2 to sign the Russian AWPer.
They transferred Niko, now it's M0nesy's turn and it seems like they will make this transfer too, although nothing is certain yet according to the news.
I think G2 team was also negotiating with Hades for the awm role.

On the other group, FaZe and Pain just started.

Watched Faze clan last night and when I turned on the stream today they were playing again.
No it wasn't a repeat of yesterday's match but a livestream of them against Rare Atom.
Seems the same teams play several different teams on the same day depending on where they stand and not on a set schedule.

Interesting news about EF who are now under the Aurora mantle.

The Saudi organization is reportedly in advanced discussions with G2 to sign the Russian AWPer.

Just began watching PGL and the very first scene they showed was Niko sitting and playing on Falcons vs Rare Atom.

Like let's take PGL Bucharest per example where teams like Apogee , Complexity and 3DMAX are winning game after game and they are TIER 3 TEAMS GUYS! They were not suppose to win this much no matter what so personally I believe that the other teams really have no desire to play in this tournament at all.

Same things goes in Dota 2 but not on the same level but I do expect huge surprises tonight in ESL.

But as you said, they are not a Tier 1 team and they are quite inexperienced teams. For example, they fought well in the match they played with Aurora today, if it was another lower Tier 1 team instead of Aurora, maybe they could have beaten them.

Well , today the playoffs begin in Dota 2 and what a game we have at start!

Remco alias Crystallis will play against his ex team who kicked him to get Satanic and this is a revenge story but I do believe PariVision is way better than current line-up of Tundra and a 2-0 for Pari might happening.

Then we have Spirit vs Falcons ...can't really figure it out what is going to happen here because Falcons out of nowhere they are back in shape and Spirit is well known for "trowing" after group stages

This is the tournament where the lower tiered teams can make themselves seen and beat the top tiered teams and make a statement.

These storylines for the teams seem to be more interested than the gameplay itself.

It's been a while since I last watched Dota 2 tournament, but I tuned in again because of ESL One Raleigh. As usual, SEA teams are out they didn’t even make it to the playoffs. I lost interest in watching this touranement because of no SEA representative. I wonder when Dota 2 will become strong in SEA again. Talon and Shopify Rebellion didn’t even win a single series. Talon only won one game and it was vs Shofify and just a draw. Same with Shopify Rebellion. What SEA team can we even rely on anymore? I’m sure by the time TI comes around, SEA will be at the bottom again.

As for this ESL One Raleigh, I think Team Falcons will be the champions, especially since Quinn is standing in. If not them, then I think PARIVISION will take the title even they lost to Tundra in upper bracket lol.

What a game from Tundra against PariVision. They were down 1-0 after 1st map and somehow managed to comeback on 2nd on 3rd map to win the series but the funny thing was the interview of Crystallis after when we was asked about how much he hates PariVision he went with " Ofc I hate them , they kicked me after winning a major"  so I'm pretty happy for him to get his revenge against his old team and with how great Tundra is looking , I can see them reaching the finals.

It's been a while since I last watched Dota 2 tournament, but I tuned in again because of ESL One Raleigh. As usual, SEA teams are out they didn’t even make it to the playoffs. Some of these weaker regions won't be getting strong anytime soon since the veterans are still dominating their region and the gap against these new teams is only getting bigger based on the qualifiers.

With the player base somewhat declining, another good patch might be the only hope similar to that Lina meta a few patches ago.

As for this ESL One Raleigh, I think Team Falcons will be the champions, especially since Quinn is standing in. If not them, then I think PARIVISION will take the title even they lost to Tundra in upper bracket lol.

I can imagine it happening with Falcons if they can start a run in the lower bracket, but with PARI probably not because they're always like this in the playoffs.
