I'm starting to think both EM teams will be farmed by most of the LEC teams, but at least one of them will go 1-1 by tomorrow, as they'll be facing each other this early in the tournament.

The latest twist they add on dota2 tournament was probably the fans extra money or something, cant really recall. I probably will update this once I find it later

This is the first time I've heard about this, or is it the club prize money that some tournaments have started adding to their prize pools recently?

Anyway whats with the bounty blast ? I dont think I've seen this before and its actually quite an interesting concept because you get higher prize money based on the team that you win against. Dota2 should really copy this concept, I think this would be a nice twist and addition to swiss stage concept

They also had this last year, and I think it's their way of making things refreshing because a few years ago, their format was something similar to the DPC.

True, it would be fun to watch something like this in Dota. Allow teams to choose from a pool of top teams that have a bounty on them, and then the bounty of the surviving team stacks up the deeper they go in the tournament.

Bounty tournament in Dota 2 ? That would be amazing to watch! We have so many great rivalries between teams in Dota 2 that a bounty between team is all we need to be mega entertained during games. This also involves less shuffles between teams as Dota 2 is well known for players jumping from a strong team to another but in CS2 we won't see Zywoo from Vitality to Falcons to Spirit and so on.

Why don't they implement this type of format in Dota 2 then?
Because they can obvious see this is a winning formula when it comes to CounterStrike with the current Bounty being played for this Winter Series we are watching unfold in these knockout rounds.

As for the Blast Bounty tournament, watched abit of the Liquid and Falcons matches and their performances were impressive as was expected from these two teams in the later stages.

Well, it was KCB who won in their match. I don't know why LR went with the same draft, when it clearly didn't work in their first game. I'm also starting to think that they're just not yet ready for tier 1 competition (or at least their jungler). And people were saying they would be top 4/top 5 team in the LEC, lol. What's even more surprising is that G2 is now 0-2 as well.

Maybe they thought it'd work the second time around or against weaker opposition, but they can't get away with this when they're the weakest team in the whole tournament.

I agree they're outclassed in the LEC. I also had the same view as the majority back when they dominated every tournament outside LEC until KCB upgraded their roster and shut them down in the EM.

G2 going 0-2 this early is also not what I was expecting. The loss against MKOI was fair, but against GX is something that shouldn't happen regularly if they're locked in.

Set of teams were already qualified for the big and main event of the ESL One Birmingham on March. There are still closed qualifiers happening for some regions and there are some that have already been done and concluded. The WEU region gets 4 slots and that's a lot of slots for a qualifier which means that they've got a lot of good teams that deserve to qualify. Well, here's a recap of which teams are invited and qualified as of the moment.

This is a movement very similar to that of the Kings League. It seems that the shift from traditional formats to things that are more "watchable" for the current generation, which needs something faster, seems like a good thing. In my opinion, any idea that makes entertainment more interesting is always welcome.

However today, i think we will have a first time ever broadcast where teams will pick their opponents- Liquid, PV, GL and heroic will pick from vitality, furia , falcons, spirit. Dont think this has ever happened before in CS for playoffs

Yes, I was looking for more information, but the only thing I saw was that it was classified for LAN. I didn't understand the purpose, but it's all good. Let's wait for other championships; I thought they would start with a bang, but so far I don't recall seeing that many.

The Fissure Universe play in has come. And it consists of 4 groups, A-D for all of its winners, upper and lower bracket proceeding to the playoffs. I only bet for one of them and that's with the L1ga team and Pipsqueak. The bet I went is the typical I've got, the ML and I did against Pips because I've known that they're usually throwing games. This isn't a bad odds @1.62 for L1ga.

Doesn't this casino actually own that team and not just have the sponsorship deal with them?
How else would this lower tier classified team be able to afford to sign on someone like s1mple in the first place?

Watched Team Nemesis play yesterday but it was against the one team that made a name for themselves who are Eyeballers during the bounty series last week after beating Faze Clan so badly.

LOL, this series is funny. Good thing that this was cancelled because L1ga has been defaulted on the first map. And I am happy that it had saved my money because Pipsqueak has won the series after winning the 2nd map. I guess that I'm just lucky by this time. Although I am going to have some other bets later for the same tournament against Pips.

Team Falcons are off to the semi-finals in this Blast Bounty even with a stand-in player replacing Zonic.
They blanked Team Liquid in a convincing win having Kyxsan starting with the squad which didn't slow their step at all.
Looking at FURIA vs Heroic for the next match in these quarter-finals.

Good lord, I almost tried to put huge stake on Team Liquid +1.5 earlier today because I've been having good run by betting on them recently. I guess I made good decision not to. Speaking of making good decision, I guess getting an acca for Vitality and Team Spirit tomorrow gonna be pretty good huh. Odds might be low but atleast those two are guaranteed to win though against underdog

Apparently, Simple only joined this team to make money. They're stuck at rank 28 on Valve, and I don't remember them doing anything significant in recent months. Could this team be a ticking time bomb? Are they just farming? What do you think? I think so.

It does look like they're only farming to secure the bag because even with the changes they've made, they shouldn't be losing to these top 50-100 teams. At this point, the org might be better off bringing in a whole new roster instead of trying to build one around s1mple and electronic.

I have to truly agree with you on this one because after watching their form in the past couple of months and losing to such teams they shouldn't be with a highly paid IGL in s1mple, this does to be all about money.

If not here it is before signing with Bc.game and inked that mass1ve deal with the Falcons!

Who do you have in the final between Falcons and Mouz ? I personally went with Falcons because I think it's about time for this time to finally shine and win a trophy because the line-up is immense right now with huge experience and real stars in team ( Niko ).
So far , map 1 went to Mouz ( Falcons pick  ) , 2nd map went to Falcons ( Mouz pick ) and now 3rd map is Nuke picked by Falcons.

CounterStrike does seem to be taking the attention away from DOTA2 lately.

Other than the Asia ones there are Intel Extreme Masters in Dallas closed qualifiers happening.

Maybe they should have S1mple get out of that Ferrari and actually help them out instead of taking a holiday on their coin and have the others do the heavy lifting.

It's definitely just about the money; he's not interested in titles or competing at a high level anymore. If he wanted that, he'd be on another team focused on winning championships. And this team was made for him and electron1c, but they can't even put that into practice. I think this must already be costing the sponsors dearly.
