Now here's whats odd... After seperating the 4 sticks (2 on each hub) The one stick that has been giving me trouble runnning stable at 400mhz runs perfectly fine at 500mhz...  

I have been battling with this one for quite sometime just trying in the upper 300's and lower 400's but apparently needed to push this a bit harder to keep the juices flowing...  Who woulda thunk???

I previously had 2 USB newpacs using cgminer (4.11.x) that were successful in mining against the local wallet solo using the command line:

cgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:8536  -u xxxxxx  -p xxxxx  --gekko-newpac-freq 400 --btc-address DDZ5f7VSWAHbLo7koRAC4RVo867atRsxxx

I've downloaded the new cgminer (4.12.0) and I have 1 compacF device.  I used the zadig to ensure the proper drivers were loaded and tried to mine to my local wallet using the following command:

cgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:8332  -u xxxxxxx  -p xxxxxxx  --gekko-compacf-freq 400 --gekko-start-freq 300 --gekko-tune-up 85 --suggest-diff 442  --gekko-compacf-detect  --btc-address DDZ5f7VSWAHbLo7koRAC4RVo867atRsxxx

I keep getting the following response:

 [2021-11-25 07:06:59.927] No Stratum, GBT or Solo support in pool 0 http://127.0.0.1:8332 unable to use

Does anyone know why I can't solo mine to my local wallet even though it worked in the previous version?

I've got the same kind of issues. I'm also solo mining (not BTC) on a local wallet, it works with no problem for my gekko newpacs with cg miner 4.11, but with my compacf and cg miner 4.12 i can't get it to work. It looks like solo mining on a local wallet isn't supported in 4.12, would be great if it could be implemented.

Like mentioned before, i have a similar problem running in solo node mode, cgminer 4.12 won't connect, while cgminer 4.11 is running with no problems for my gekko newpacs . I logged cgminer 4.12 and this is the output:

But no, it's far from ideal to use a version of bitcoin prior to 0.21, since when taproot activates next month, you must be running 0.21 or later.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately one of the compac f sticks i recently received is no longer coming up in cgminer, it says "zombie".
If i remove it from the bitcoinmerch hub and plug it in a little later the stick comes of for 30 seconds but eventually winds down an zombies agiain.
Eventually it says "off"

Is it dead?

I've tried low frequencies and higher ones, i've tried adjusting the pot screw.

Any ideas?

They would fit but its inly rated for 2.1A per port. So the CompacFs wouldnt be able to run full speed

Im only running 4 compac f's. If you dont use all of the ports, does that mean you get extra amperage in the ports youre using?

right now, im running at 400mhz, and fluctuating between 260-310 gh/s.  I feel like i can push it a little further. Ive got the 3d printed fans on each one,  AND 2 artic fans.  I dont feel any heat coming off them at all.

It all depends how the the components are laid out on the pcb of the hub. On the gekko hub, sidehack put details on so you could see what ports shared with inductor(?). So you can adjust the speed and inturn the amperage to match it.

gotcha, ya i think im def getting the gekko hub.   it says it gets 6amps for each of the bottom 3 pairs, or 3amp per port.  If you only run 1 stick in each pair, will you get 6amps?  I was reading on here that if you have 5amps of power,  you can max these sticks out to 800mhz, 550 gh/s. So this hub would be great unless it maxes out at 3amps.  either way, 3amps is better than almost every other hub out there.

My gekko hub is running 6 sticks at 520m and thats as far as im going to push it. Its about 2.8amp per port (if i calculated correctly). So i have a little headroom.

Would do it on a win 10 pc that is gpu mining at nicehash.

I have sidehacks hub I just need a link for win 10 software for the stick been reading and can not find a link for it.

Oh, a FYI: I originally ran mine on lil' dual-core Atom micro-PC w/2gb memory and Win7. Worked well BUT when I finally got around to loading cgminer on a RasPi3B (old Avalon controller now running latest 32-bit Raspian) turns out the miners (2 NewPacs and the F) now have about 10% better hash rate when ran on the RasPi despite running the same freqs. They also are stable at higher freq than I could run using Windoze which of course I took advantage of.

If I do linux is there a preferred linux I have a dozen pc's so I can simply load a linux on one of them.

For linux I compile and build it on Ubuntu.
While that doesn't really matter too much, ubuntu is very simple to install.

All six sticks combined get 2.06Th which is approximately 340Ghs a stick
