Looks like John Riel Casimero still has the WBO vote of confidence. Since there's no news after the 48 hours deadline given to Casimero to explain why he should keep the title, maybe things are now settled between WBO and Casimero. It's been over a week now since the supposed title defense match against Paul Butler.

Paul Butler got the vacant interim WBO Bantamweight title. Not much knowledge about how a title match should fight on but can he still ask for a mandatory title fight against Casimero who still holds the WBO Bantamweight title?

They have a good lawyer and they proved that Casimero did know the existing rule about the use of Sauna I guess this is enough defense to retain his title, it's good if Casimero can still keep the title he is a very exciting boxer to watch every fight is action pack and he won the title fair and square against the very tough Tete, the worst thing that can happen to a boxer is getting a strip of the title without fighting it in the ring.
It's been a very long layoff for Casimero I hope in the next fight he will do the right thing, many people miss him in the ring, he is one controversial figure but always delivers a fight you love to see.

Casimero's camp has stoutly disputed BBBOC's claims asserting that Johnriel did not know and was not properly informed of such sauna rule (It was Casimero's people who even posted his sauna visit in the social media). They also denied BBBOC's claim of Johnriel losing ten pounds in three days, maintaining that Casimero had met the weight limit of 118 lbs while still in their USA training camp and that Johnriel was only two pounds over when they arrived in the UK.

I know that Casimero is not the first one to do it but the fact that he's caught in the act is really a heavy evidence just because there's a dumb person in his camp. The damage has been done and they should just take that as a lesson rather than making some speculations that doesn't really make sense.

Yes. There might be other boxers too that undergo that trick but just play safe and never noticed.

Actually, it's not just they were caught in the sauna but it's really alarming that they noticed Casimero's 10 lbs weight loss in just a matter of a few days. Maybe that triggers the investigation and since his camp has a video of it, it made it easy for the BBBofC to suspend him right away as there's proof.

With another delay, Casimero is now hitting the veteran age period and might become inactive for 1 year if no fight involving him will happen until August this year.  The worst is, with no negotiated fights, no reason at all to retain his WBO title.

It's already confirmed, the WBO finally released a statement earlier regarding John Riel Casimero's WBO title to be stripped. It took them more or less 2 weeks to give a result wether Casimero will be stripped of that said title or not.

Donaire: Casimero should not be stripped of WBO title

Nonito Donaire was convinced that John Riel Casimero should not be stripped of the title by the World Boxing Organization because according to him, Casimero made the weight but wasn’t given the rules and regulations to know about related to the sauna.

Donaire said the use of a sauna is not generally illegal. Actually, he was fairly right about that but as I shared here, the sauna rules are against the British Boxing Board of Control. Filipino Boxing Veteran analyst Atty. Ed Tolentino even pointed out that's already been part of the BBBofC rules since 1929. The analyst debunked the idea of Casimero being set up in Liverpool.

Instead, he blamed the lack of knowledge of Team Casimero regarding the use of the sauna.

It's now 48 hours since the ultimatum and deadline gave to Casimero to defend his side on why shouldn't he be stripped of the title. I'm looking for some updates regarding that but found nothing.

Luxury information, I am somewhat lacking in smerits, but you deserve it, at some point I will give it to you, what is clearly focused here is that there is practically nothing illegal, and that somehow what they want is to leave Casimero out , if things happen this way, I think there is no fault, then what I sense here is that there are interests involved that do not want to see Casimero in action or for this fight to take place, or that in some way there is a possible enemy of the boxer so that he does not have more success, of course it is what I speculate due to the circumstances, it is probably not so, but it is a possibility that must be taken into account, I hope that it is clarified and that this fight if I manage to give.

I do agree, as we have discussed many times in Casimero's career, he is very brandish now he has no belt whatsoever, sever his ties with a promotional company that help a lot of Filipino boxers because that company is own by Manny Pacquiao.

Not sure if he is back in Manila already and maybe contemplating his next career move. So yes, be humble, this is not what Filipino boxers are know for.

but tbh, if you are part of the team, you should know the do's and don'ts when it comes to weight loss. such a dumb act that they even put it live giving the committee a very hard evidence. they should have not gone to england in the first place. and the last minute, they replaced him. the team is  just ruining his boxing career. we all thought that he's out of his legal mess from his country. and yet they even created more mess just before the fight. and they have the guts to go after inoue, they can't even fix himself to fight.

Because Donaire has no control if Casimero will not make it because of his weight problems.
So whether he is from Probellum or not, it is on Casimero's camp to ensure that he is on the right track to fight.
The promoter itself will not dictate the future of the boxer, but the boxer himself, his actual performance inside the ring.
Donaire may probably have good intentions with this initiative, but now, it seems he is receiving negative criticism because of this act.
