Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that Devin Haney’s lawsuit against Ryan Garcia for 50-100 million could act as a deterrence to prevent other fighters from using performance-enhancing drugs to gain an advantage in their fights.

They made it sound righteous when it is said like this although I do agree with what they want to point out. It can prevent boxers from making the mistake of using drugs just to be a better boxer than the other.
But, I don't like the idea that it will make another boxer go broke because of the amount of money that he will pay if it's proven that he is using drugs.
Not Ryan, I know he is rich, but other boxers might not be able to afford that kind of money if they went to the same problem, and what if they don't have any idea that drugs are in their drinks or food?
If it's prevention, the boxing organization should also do its job of doing monthly check-ups for these athletes and others before they fight, just to be sure.

It’s definitely a deterrent, especially in big fights, because the affected party could claim such a large amount that it could wipe out a boxer’s savings. But it would be much better if the rules were improved to focus on prevention, rather than dealing with situations after the damage has already been done.

I agree to that, it's  better to focus and improves such rules before things happened instead of bringing things after the damage already been done, it's affects both finances and the fame of the sued fighters, if ever Ryan loses this case for sure that huge amount of money will suck his savings and surely will ruined him especially that there's already a history like what I said both financially and emotionally Ryan will be affected of this possible outcome.

I think that they do but they're not strict at all There are no check ups, they have to step on this and do something.

It isn't very comfortable when things like this happen and suits are being filed for them. They do checks probably only before the fight, the actual day but other than that, no monitoring.

I believe that test wasn’t only done for Ryan Garcia, which got messed up with the PED issue... Haney’s actions have already caused a lot of damage to Ryan’s career. He faced a one-year suspension and now could be looking at a $50 to $100 million lawsuit. It would be foolish if only Haney’s camp made demands while Ryan’s side just complied. I think it will continue until the fight actually takes place where Dmitry Bivol will be the clear favorite and most people out there have him as the favorite to win this fight.
Both are the best fighters in the light heavyweight division and they both have very satisfying records, if I look at both of them then this is fight that will be difficult to predict, but I have faith in Dmitry Bivol and this will be decision victory because the percentage of KO victory is quite small.
This fight will change one of their respective records because both are undefeated fighters and even Beterbiev is fighter who always ends every fight with KO victory.

Yes, I also think that there will be no swing odds, Bivol will continue to be the slight favorite, there could be just small movement as fans of both are going for sure to throw a lot of money specially a day or two before the actual fight date.

And with that kind of close odds, it's really hard to see how the fight will go. But it could be Beterbiev to win by knockout because of his power, and then Bivol working very hard behind his jabs and volume punching, to make Beterbiev uncomfortable in a long 12 rounds.

I also just visited some social media and saw various posts about this fight, indeed many people give support and perception that they tend to favor Bivol and indeed this fight can be proof that Bivol is the best boxer in the light heavyweight class for the current era if he really beats Beterbiev the KO king in this division.
I also thought about trying to choose Bivol as favorite who even bet some money on him in the fight for the undisputed title.

There are still about 2 weeks and it seems that each fighter is ready and looking forward to the meeting that can go down in history in one of the best fights for the light heavyweight class which determines the real champion undisputedly.
In an interview with Beterbiev he also stated that he was really healthy and fit to be able to fight this fight, indeed previously he had experienced obstacles such as injuries but he has recovered and we can see Beterbiev can fight optimally.

Are you implying that I was arguing that only King Ry has done the testing? This is very much headshaking if you imply this. What I am implying is much of these athletes are taking steroids and other types of performance enhancing drugs. Also, do you know where much of these performance enhancing drugs are rumored of being tested without being detected? The Olympics and China is rumored to have one of the most biggest secret performance enhancing drugs programs in the world.

Mark Hunt also sued Brock Lesnar and the UFC for something similar and it went nowhere despite attempting for many years but it was always tossed out. Garcia was already fined by the commission and had to forfeit some of his purse. I don’t see this lawsuit going anywhere. $100 million is more than what Ryan even earned and I don’t know what evidence Haney could submit to prove that Ryan doped intentionally. If they somehow ruled in Haney’s favor, it would open a can of worms and there would be countless athletes looking for an easy payday.

Not sure if he is going to win though, I mean just think about it, he already accepted this fight, got his money from Ryan and the guaranteed price and what's left on the PPV sales. So it have been settled already, he lost the fight.

I think it's hard to say if this case will be won by Ryan Garcia because after all the use of streoid is the most prohibited thing by the sports committee so far, before the fight started actually Garcia was indeed the favorite to be able to win the fight but we also can't deny that the use of steroids actually increases his stamina more strongly than Devin Haney,  While it may be inevitable that Devin also used steroids, but we can't claim that this happened if he was not proven to use , whereas Garcia tested positive for them after he was caught by the anti-doping committee.

Also, on the question if King Ry used steroids. Uncle Dana mentioned that his team in the UFC are speculating that from their expeience, this might be a contaminated supplement. And if you look at it, Haney seems to be worst than Ryan when Garcia has this mental breakdown. It was reported that during his training session with Reynoso when he was still his trainer, Garcia broke down and cry. But we are not sure what emotions was shown by Haney when he lost. It's that after that Ryan was handed the suspension on his allegedly PED used that Haney went into public and attacking Ryan whenever he will be interviewed.

Now, it's even worst when he goes to the court and files cases against Ryan Garcia for defeating him and asking millions. So most likely, Haney should have the mental illness of Ryan Garcia and put it to the next level. It was a drama that they all feel for Garcia, it short they were all trick by Garcia. Pretending that he had mental issues prior to the fight and that's why Haney was really salty after the first knockdown and wasn't able to recover in that fight. And then the subsequent peds and now Haney is suing Ryan Garcia for punitive damage. But as fighters, if they really want, they should do a rematch again, and then go home with both of them taking big paycheck.

Haha. Other boxers that likes to have drama will copy what Garcia has done. But it's true that if it can't be settled by suing which there is sort of deception believed by Haney.

To settle everything, a rematch is indeed going to solve this case and everyone will see and even himself and Garcia will prove who's the real winner for this bout.

But then, the sports industry is starting to become part of the entertainment industry now.

Ryan Garcia beat him so badly that I’m not sure even if he was on steroids that Haney could beat him while they are both clean. I don’t think we’ll see a rematch of this fight, but you never know.
