I just looked into it and it is true that Turki has prepared some fights and Romero himself was previously the WBA junior welterweight title holder, but I think it is still too early to be able to beat Ryan Garcia, I don't know what Turki goals is for this fight he is planning and there must be certain goals and I sure it is not for money.

I think Thurman is done already, not sure why he made a comeback after 3 years, maybe he still has a fight in his contract or whatever. But I think he doesn't have it anymore and being content behind the scene like being a boxing analyst because of knows how to talk. And probably one of the boxers that Pacquiao destroyed for good and took his soul after he beat him. Similar to Ricky Hatton or worst Antonio Margarito who is never the same again after Pacquiao humble them.

I do agree that this somewhat is a very surprising fight for Thurman and I thought that he had retire for good as he was not the same in terms of mindset and his body is giving out already with multiple injuries if I'm not mistaken. Although we can give it up to him for running his mouth and really know how to promote the fight. We would forget how he describe Pacquiao back then, that Manny has short limbs and compare it to T-Rex, lol. But that short hand knock him down and defeated him. So I do not think that even if he wins here, he will suddenly be back in the action at this division. We can't really take out that out of the equation, but I think it's more than injuries, it's the possibility of an upset here. Although Rolly Romero has losses already and it seems that he is just average boxer, who knows fingers crossed he won't land that one punch that will put Ryan Garcia for good.

Same with Haney, he will be fighting a former unified champion, who lost to Josh Taylor when they fought for all the belts. So that could be the risk here, and we don't know if this thing happens if the rematch will still go and push because they hype will no longer there.

I do agree that this somewhat is a very surprising fight for Thurman and I thought that he had retire for good as he was not the same in terms of mindset and his body is giving out already with multiple injuries if I'm not mistaken. Although we can give it up to him for running his mouth and really know how to promote the fight. We would forget how he describe Pacquiao back then, that Manny has short limbs and compare it to T-Rex, lol. But that short hand knock him down and defeated him. So I do not think that even if he wins here, he will suddenly be back in the action at this division. Perhaps there is a bigger risk in fighting Pitbull Cruz and they don't want to take it. Although I think Ryan can still pull that one out, but it's going to be a hard fight for him as you have said, the weaving and the movement might give Garcia a problem as he had to time Cruz before delivering his left hook.

In any case of Romero, who didn't look good at his last fight and has a weaker chin as once Ryan touches him, he might quit the fight. But in paper it looks good that Romero has a fighting chance but it's very slim.
