but pretty much sure they had done it but this is actually on users fault in most case since he does know that he requested out something like that which he should presume that he wont

there are three ways to solve this issue, you can ignore the promotional email, you can unsubscribe, or you can log in and change the email to the one that you rarely use, we all have disposable emails, it only proves that you are still not cured and a mere mention of gambling site will get you irritated, a person that is cured of gambling will not get agitated or irritated from this issue, based on your post you still hate Stake.com for the many loss you incurred.
He can do those methods so that he can avoid receiving notifications. But the thing is, OP don't want to do anything and he wants it that stake will be the one to do something with it. Remove his email from the receiving list of promotions so he won't be receiving it anyway.
OP stands on his ground and won't do those things through his hands. It may be understandable for some and not for the others but that's what he wants to happen.

I somehow agree with you in this statement. When a person voluntarily quits the gambling scene, he does not only strip down his account but he also decides to leave it for good. Any kind of temptation that would lure the person into gambling again could be fatal, especially in the first few days/weeks of the person quitting. Just like in any other kind of addiction, the withdrawal of a person may start and this could lead to issues that would somehow force the person to go back into his addiction.

Once a person decides to leave the gambling scene, he also has the shared responsibility of informing people about it to avoid any potential issues. Like what OP had mentioned, he has the responsibility of telling stake that he does not want to receive any further email/promotions to his account.

Its obvious that Stake does have some mistakes on here on which if a user asked out for some exclusion then they should really done it in overall which means from subscription email until to the access of account
shouldnt really be seen or cant be accessed and just like you do said that there should be no additional tasks since you did really request for it then its just normal that a site will really grant on what you
had requested and since they still sent out those emails then you would really be having a hard time on resolving your addiction issues.

on the other hand you also have to know that stakes are business people and we can't make anything or order anything, promotion is something that is natural and not excessive either.
the most important thing is how the person who gets the email (in this case the OP) reacts to it.
addiction is the personal fault of the gambler as for the gambling house I don't think it has anything to do with it because they are businessmen and their source of income there

really able to play and make out deposits and if he able to receive emails then its just right that you should ignore those things.
in gambling, both online and offline, of course, customer satisfaction is the best, but on the other hand we can't make what we want and indeed from the stake will not prioritize just one member because I believe they have quite a lot of customers.
even though they can complain about it, of course, customers must also be aware that the service provider will definitely need time to realize this.
Yes, they do need time considering on userbase but it wouldnt really be good on looking at on which it did really took so long on clarifying thing and we know on whats the reputation of Stake on this market which cant be denied that they are one of the best and this issues is just really small for them to go down even if they decided to make this un resolved.So far we didnt hear out admins
words or advices about this condition or situation which is somehow an odd kind of thing or whether its already been resolved behind and the community wasnt aware of that.

There might be some error here but seriously, stake can’t help you at all not unless you help yourself to recover so why come back and try the platform again? If you want to recover you should start from changing that habit and make yourself busy on something else, I know addiction is really not good but if you are still acting the same then you might ended up on the same situation again. Stake did their part to restrict you at first, they can do it again but the question is, will you try the platform again?

According to OP, stake admitted that there was an error on their system, so I think the issue is already over, and I hope it's already solved now. For me, it's not really a big deal as I know how to block a particular sender so I will not be able to receive an email from them, if OP did that thing then he will not be receiving any promotional emails from stake, the solution is very simple, there's no need to make it a big issue.

I have contacted live support and the legal department, and they have admitted their was a error in their database allowing to send promotional emails to problem gamblers, they have let me know they have fixed it after my messages.

Stake already claimed that there's a database-related problem.

Will you wait for a long to fix it before moving on with your problem?

Or we do not know what if that was intentional or a kind of experiment to see if the user is really sincere to change about his gambling habit . once a user opens up the email or questioned the stake team then that shows that the user is not ready to change.

On another scenario, it cant also be intentional but rather just a mistake that should be fix so opening up a topic about it can be helpful for both the casino and its users. I am only curious if what actions should he need to do when already excluded himself in the casino? I know, maybe reporting the mail as spam or create a new email address instead in case your avoiding emails from other casinos.

I think the most important aspect is for you to be ok. This should definitely be your priority. It is unfortunate that their mistake caused you suffering but focus on yourself and not on them.

Hey, if that was me I would simply implement a mail filtering rule that will automatically delete all email that are coming from Stake.com. Every time they change the email address, I will simply add another filtering rule to delete that too.

You are either serious about not gambling or you shift the blame for your gambling problem to someone else. So, what will OP do if they show gambling advertisements on television? You will never totally be rid of gambling related advertisements, but you can manage it...so that you do not see it.  Wink

I’m late to seeing this but I want to say shame on Stake for continuing to send you this emails /promotions when you’ve kindly asked them not to. I personally have never had any issues when it comes to getting addicted to gambling but I have a few friends who have had these issues and I know how hard it can be to overcome them. You can still unsubscribe to their promotional emails to avoid been tempted. Managing database could be another world of difficulty. The best you can do for yourself at the moment is to unsubscribe completely from their mail services until you can fully manage your gambling fantasies. This is the situation on which someone ask out for some self exclusion which the site would blocked or banned you on using the site and cutting off all communication in between site including
promotional emails but the case here is that the user do still able to recieve those promotional emails which it causes for him to play again and make out deposit and he do lost up
once again which it isnt really that on casinos fault since it is really on your own will which means it is on your own action thats why i dont see that he would really
be making out those complaints because he could easily unsubscribe or wouldnt tend to check those emails in the first place.
