It was a dramatic day for the Tunisian national team. Today they beat one of the favorite teams of the cup, France, but they did not manage to reach the next round. They had a truly unfortunate day... On the other hand, Australia defeated Denmark and they managed to reach the second round. In the next round, they will play the leader of Group C. And they have a lot of star players in their squad. Even then they cannot perform well. Belgium lost their last match with Morocco. A big team like France lost against Tunisia today. A star-studded team like Germany lost against Japan. The defeat of these renowned teams was completely unexpected. They were favorites to become the champions of this World Cup. But we don't see good performance from them.

Some of these European and South American teams are finding the group stage hard. But with the calibre of players they have once they scale through this group they will be a force to reckon, most especially France, Portugal, Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Spain.

Maybe Denmark still were going to be eliminated but they could have still tried more. Actually they had a pretty comfortable group but they just failed big time against Australia and Tunisia. Collecting only one point in the group stage is unacceptable for them. I don't know what the problem was with them in this World Cup.

They seemed like they didn't care about it as much as EURO 2020. Because we all remember how successful they were back then like qualifying for semi-finals.

LOL.. two big upsets today. France (who are supposed to be one of the tournament favorites) got defeated by Tunisia, and then Australia managed to defeat Denmark. But despite the win today, Tunisia is out of the world cup, as Australia ended up with 6 points. Danmark had a disappointing tournament, and they finished at the last position in Group D. Till now, a total of 6 teams have qualified for the PQF stage, and these are: Netherlands, Senegal, England, United States, France and Australia. And out of these the most surprising inclusions have been that of Senegal and Australia.

Actually it's not too surprising because they really didn't make anything, moreover they played it safe by securing some of their core players because they really wanted to focus on the next phase considering they were safe.
But it's a surprise for Denmark, especially since they can be said to be the favorites in this group but they have to be at the bottom of the final standings. Even though Tunisia won, they still lost in the group phase and congratulations to Australia.

Several goals in this World Cup have been disallowed only because of VAR. And the referee couldn't have picked these offsides with just their eye. Argentina lost against Saudi Arabia due to offside complications. The same happened with France. However, I am happy that France lost. I'm not anti-France. I like the France team. But they could not perform well in today's match. Tunisia deserved this win. France probably formed the squad with their second or third-row players. I was very disappointed with the performance of the players. Such a sloppy performance is not expected from a renowned team like France.
