I had a really long and busy and something came up at work that I forgot all about tuning in on time for the United States versus Iran matchup.  Thankfully when I was going to get my haircut, I went to a place called "sports cuts" and they had the game on there on every single tv, so I was able to watch the last 20mns or so.  What an exciting game! So happy the US won.

Does anyone know how badly the US best player is hurt? If we don't have him for Saturdays game it wont even be any fun to watch really.  I'm going to be so upset if he can't play.

Congratulations to US for the victory they got to move forward to make their fans happy in this FIFA world cup competition, because Iran really made the match tough for US. Christian pulisic was the one that scored the winning goal that made them to defeated Iran 1-0 to qualified in group B with England. I think, US coach will definitely use some players in their next match to play, because many people are not happy about the results they got from Iran match because their strikers missed so many opportunity that could have made them to defeat Iran 4-0 but they managed to achieve one goal to secured the victory.

They got the ticket to the knockout stage as the runners-up of Group 'B' with a 1-0 win against Iran. Pulisic, the team's biggest star, contributed to both of the USA's two goals in the group stage. In this match, the United States defeated Iran 1-0 to confirm the last 16th.

No doubt Christian Pulisic is the star man for the USA team. He’s been exceptional at this World Cup. Carried the team in both games now. I think he needs to be available for their clash against the Netherlands to boost their team spirit. Also if you look at the USA midfield, Musah, Adams and Mckenie, these guys have been outstanding in this World Cup too. They are very combative and intelligent on and off the ball, I think they can go toe to toe with the best mildfield in this World Cup.

The performance from pulisic during the world cup has been making him aimed by some teams. I think that pulisic has a very great potential. it can be seen from his performance with US. He was always giving huge contribution to the US. Im sure he will be playing against netherlands too. Pulisic has become a key player for USA. That will be a very bad choice for USA for not let him to play against netherlands. USA's performance actually depending with him too.
That's very good to see that USA able to beat ira with small score but USA has been securing full points against iran.

I feel like USA was simply stronger than Iran in yesterday night's match. Iran lacks fast, physically strong players to compete in modern football (although I don't deny they have talented midfielders). On the other hand USA is having hard time scoring a goal, I mean they should have made it 3-0 at first half but they could only win 1-0. I think USA deserved 2nd place but they won't be able to beat Netherlands. Netherlands is far better and creative team than USA.

Bravo! I have never doubted the USA against Iran, and the team did well, they planned their world cup strategy very well and got to the round of 16. This means so much, their main defensive strategy is paying off. They could not qualify for the 2018 tournament, but they have proven again that they are worthy contenders in this year's competition. And as for your concern about whether they have ever qualified for this round, yes, they qualified in 2010 and 2014. The team has always faced challenges, but they mostly give their opponents trouble if they want to.

Some people believe Kane hasn't reach to his top performance in this tournament that's why Kane cannot playing well but as a captain he still being an important player for England and maybe Kane still hasn't scoring goals yet but so far he has 3 assists i think this indicated Kane has help other players to scoring goals and bringing England to round of 16

Kane did not score a single goal for England but he had three assists and became a first player after David Beckham, who can have up to 3 assists in one World Cup. Kane did evolved a lot recent seasons and he sharpened his passing skills. Since the past three seasons, he has played more like a play-maker for both Tottenham and England.

In this World Cup, Kane does not have his best fitness which looks like is affecting his general contribution for England.

Wales had their first World Cup after many decades but their quality now is worse than their successful Euro a few years ago. Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale are no longer at highest level like years ago. And Wales did not have other younger players who can replace those legend players.

Bale scored some important goals for them but he does not have enough power to play a complete match. It is unreasonable to require a player who is not ready to play in club but can carry their national team to success.

USA is not a country with so many great players and neither are they known in history as very strong footballing country but with the way they are playing in this world cup you will understand that they planned this world cup and they are following a particular method to succeed.

Saudi Arabia can do anything. Especially after beating Argentina in the first match, they are considered unpredictable by many. Argentina will not take any kind of risk. USA really suprised me in this world cup, I don't really believe they are going to perform well in this world cup, let's see what will happen in round of 16. Denmark might finally come to their sense and will have a great performance today. Australia only need draw & they will setup defensively and i think that's where they will lose the match.
France Should win comfortably , don't think Tunisia will give them any headache.

USA has appeared 11 times in the FIFA world cup. Their first participation in 1930 they advanced to semi-finals. Since then they have had series of group stage and knock out stage eliminations in which 2002 the reached the quarter finals. 2022 might seem a bit different for them the have advanced to the knock stage again after defeating Iran by 1 goal.  They will have to work harder to escape been eliminated from the knock out stage because Netherland might be a strong contender for them.

All Argentina needs in todays match is a win. A draw might make all their effort fruitless. Saudi Arabia might win Mexico and  that will give them six points. If Argentina gets a draw it means they have to kiss Qatar good bye. Poland will not be an easy match for Argentina that is sure. Lionel Scaloni needs to bring in high tactics to win this game against Poland and secure their place in the next round.

Let's see how US will be preventing netherlands next match, i didn't wanna try to put usa as underrated team caused by so many factors. I think that i will take USA as the main bet against netherlands. Iran was doing defense pretty well in the match against USA. that's why USA was so difficult to make game but as long as it can win even with only small score and that's far better rather than getting draw. That's how footbal works these days.
The most important thing is about how to win and it doesn't matter how many goals being made.

Here I agree with you, the sport has changed, I can’t say that it really angers me, but it definitely reduces my interest in events when I see clear signs of such interference. To some extent, this can help to make the right bet when you understand these processes, but another question is whether you want to bet on such an event? (a rhetorical question)
