Never mind, we all have to admit that Argentina is a better team than Croatia after watching this game. Maybe some pre-match hesitation is understandable as Croatia had the luck and success to reach the semi-finals, but in the end Argentina showed their quality.

I think that the Croatian team that played against the Argentine team today had something missing in them. I do not know if they played out of fear or they came with a defeatist mindset because what I watched from the Croatian team play was beyond pathetic. Obviously the Argentine side we're better and stronger . Now they are left to compete for the third-place position in the tournament they have done so well so far and I hope they leave with something.

In the first half they tried to play with pressure and always took the initiative to attack and this backfired for them.
Argentina was good at taking advantage of this condition, they defended and immediately counterattacked quickly which made the Croatian players a little troubled there and that was proven when they had to break in the penalty box.
Apart from anything congrats to Argentina now who are in the final. This could be a good farewell gift for Messi at the end of the world cup that he takes part in if he can win in the final later.

Not necessarily, not a rational thought because Croatia previous history of goal records was able to equal the score against Brazil and Japan so they could face a penalty match, but this match they were really unlucky and had to lose with an embarrassing score, Croatia's statistics did not dominate the goal attack to shot on target and Argentina had been in control in the match.

Indeed, maybe the first goal of the penalty kick had a little bit gave influence on the Croatia players, but I am sure that they are professional so this will not last longer influencing and they are able to focus again in the match. But here, Argentina was able to play excellently and effectively. We can see their spirit during the matching road to the final, they were excellent. I am not a fan of Argentina, but after seeing the match, I can admit that they were excellent. Moroever their striker Alvarez, is incredible in the game. They also had Martinez that is very strong as the goalkeeper with many saves.

I was not expecting Croatia to score some goals, even one goal against Argentina. But I was expecting them to stop Argentina from scoring I was looking forward for a goalless full-time draw so that they will head into penalty shootout because I know Croatia is good at defending but I was very disappointed when I saw them attacking and wanting to score Argentina even in the first half.
It was quite unfortunate to for them because Argentina was able to get two goals in the first half which will make it impossible for any team to equalise in that stage of the competition.

Playing deep was not going to work against someone like Messi, who is very difficult to mark; Croatia came with the right mentality and it was working until they got carried away; they knew falling back against a dangerous attacking side like Argentina would only put their entire team under pressure. Croatia's problem has been their inability to finish off scoring chances. It would be difficult for any team to stop Argentina right now, as the entire team is playing well and there is no weak link in the team.

Argentina would be playing at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on Sunday in the world cup final, for the second time in only eight years.
This would be a storied game, with so much hanging in the balance should the Albicelestes win in five days time against any of Morocco or France.
Messi could very well be playing his last world cup (definitely his last in too form) and would want nothing less than to lift the famous, golden trophy.

Big game tomorrow, and as much as I would want Morocco to become the first African team in the world cup final, I fear that France might be too strong. Hopefully, the Atlas Lions would keep roaring.

Argentina is the only team without a weak link; they have been solid in every aspect of the game and have proven that they need the trophy more than anyone else, but we will see on Sunday. The main problem for every team right now is 35-year-old Messi, who has terrorized every defense he has faced so far. 5 goals, 4 assists, and the most chances created are all goated numbers.

I would also like to see Morocco advance to the final, but the question is whether they can exploit France's weak defense with their long passes and crossing. And will France be able to exploit Morocco's weak midfield? Both teams have flaws, and it will be interesting to see which team uses their advantage.

I had different expectations for the outcome of the game, therefore I was genuinely shocked when Argentina defeated Croatia with three goals. Following these two teams in their various World Cup games, I believe they don't play the same style of football,  and that is why thinking that the match may to draw because Croatia always play a defensive game Croatia, but today I noticed Croatia making an excessive amount of effort to attack. Since the start of this World Cup, I haven't seen Croatia play like this. but in today's match, everyone attacked in order to score, and I believe this is what led to mistakes of 3 goals down

Messi has proven to the world that he is a great player, he is old and still playing very good football, he was the man of the match because he had the highest contribution in the match as a player who registered an assist and scored a penalty in the match, I hope Argentina wins the World Cup and gives Messi a break because he will have achieved his dream in football.

The fact that Messi is the best player in the world is well known. I think Messi will remain Messi forever. They won't have his copy, in my opinion. Argentina dominated goals and good chances to get shots on target. Meanwhile, Croatia controlled the match with more total shots and also high ball possession. Croatia did their best but they couldn't do anything about it, and now I hope that whoever doesn't want to see Argentina in the final will make peace with himself and his hopes.

You surely did watch this game to have made that notation on Croatians performance. These guys were way busy with controlling controlling the match that they forgot it was a timed event and they were loosing. Even with a 2 goal down, I didn't see any pace from Croatia. They didn't look like a team that was determined to win this match and Argentina got the better of them.

They've been a little bit debate on the penalty, if the referee should have given it. It was a controversial decision although, the referee remained precise and definite even, points to the spot and booked Livakovic with a yellow card. Personally, I didn't see how else that contact would have been avoided. Livakovic have got to defend his goal by looking as big as possible and J. Alvarez came crashing into him without any forward move from Livakovic. It would have still been fair not to have given the penalty.

Croatia from the beginning had the attacking plan and the same didn't work as Argentina took the defending position and doesn't show agression. They did it well and the plan didn't work with Croatia. Maybe if Croatia have managed to make a goal at the first half the match would've taken another direction.

I think that in this match it was quite the opposite of the matches of Croatia before. While they were pretty lucky in the match against Brazil and it was kinda undeserved that Croatia advanced into the semi final, i think that today the croatian team was very unlucky. For me they were the better team in the first 30 minutes today and the goals of Argentina came pretty much out of nowhere. Of course with 2 goals for Argentina scored withing only a few minutes it was almost already over at that point for Croatia. Even though they were the better team up to that point. After that Argentina played it very smart and in the end they deserve to be in the final.

I agree. because at the beginning of the first half croatia played very well. but after argentina managed to score a goal through a penalty. from there the turning point occurred. In the early minutes, Croatia had 54% of the ball, but could not attack. They only played in the back and midfield. Meanwhile, Argentina only took advantage of counterattacks. Messi and Alvarez are quite dangerous for Argentina's front line. Both of them can run fast, making it difficult for Croatian defenders to stop their attacks.

I couldn't predict today's match right,I thought the match will be a draw till 90 minutes,and will lead to PK after extra time but I was wrong,the Croatia that played Brazil don't have the same spirit in  tonight's match. I would not say that Croatia was weak in this match and controlled the ball for quite a long time, and as far as I know the final figures on possession of the ball in favor of Croatia. Another question is that, nevertheless, Argentina was lucky to score its goal first after a penalty kick, which still would not have been put by every referee and, accordingly, thanks to this, it is relatively comfortable to control the course of the meeting and arrange quick striking counterattacks. I believe Morocco will take a lesson from what happened to Croatia today.
So basically Argentina let Croatia play in the first 15-20 minutes then it surprised it with a goal then came the second one to destroy Croatia hope, then the third one to end the Croatian dream prematurely.
Morocco will play more defensively and count on counter attack. The problem they have is the presence of Mbappe. They should find a way to stop him and France power will be reduced considerably.
Overall, I am counting on France - Argentina final unless Morocco could lead France to play penalties.
