What is the benefit to join a pool to mine? Is it always more efficient than solo mining?

I don't think this is the right place for that question.

how does this coin compare with blackcoin?

Well mainly:

Blackcoin
+x11
+marketplace
+AIO wallet
+fair investing

Good. What are the marketing plans? Many good coins had worst launch because of poor marketing

We've already began doing some marketing to hype up EDG before launch.

We'll continue by expanding on social media and creating some promotional videos.

Another important step is giving users incentive to grow the coin with you.

I would recommend reducing the coin maturation age to less than 30 days. Mintcoin is 20 days and Blackcoin is 8 hours. Somewhere in between makes more sense. A high rate keeps coins on exchanges because people know they can make more day trading while too low allows only large holders to find blocks. Just my 2 cents.

That's a really good point. Probably gonna implement that Smiley

i hold hobonickels and they offer 5% every 10 days and their coin doesn't seemed to get dumped on cryptsy. it seems the little volume that makes it there are the minted coins so the community seems to be mostly holding onto their core collection of coins. also this coin is still pow mineable so that says a lot too.

We're probably gonna go with 5-8 hours.

Maybe it would be best to remove the investors list and replace it with links to the two wallets.  That would clear up any confusion.

The email response I just got back said: "The launch will be shortly after the beta."

While asking other question's  ((above))

What do you need to know?

    1. You send the BTC/LTC
    2. You send me an email
    3. I record the information
    4. I contact you at launch

As I previously inquired -

I would be sending you a BTC payment an a LTC payment....
but - I need the EDG from the IPO sent back to me in (2) separate payments - can you do this for me?

It'll just be a lot easier to keep the books straight then having to "show my math" etc etc and figure out what is my Father's EDG and what is mine...

No problem. I'll list your investment(s) as being owned by two entities under one email.

On launch I will request two addresses from you. One for the BTC (0.1) and one for the LTC(~4.4)

Sound good? Smiley
