People get addicted if they do not discipline themselves, if they have no source of income, if they are not busy with something else. But if they discipline themselves, they will not be addicted.

Some people said that because a gambler win is the reason they get addicted, but that is no. Addicts can first lose, then win and lose again, but hoping to be successful in gambling is the reason they are addicted.

To stay not being addicted, it is always good to know that you can not be successful with gambling, that makes you always think that you should use just little amount that you can afford to lose to gamble.

Nah, depression, stress, and stuff like that that you feel due to losing isn't really anything odd or weird, I'd be weirded out instead if you weren't sad when you lose money cause there'd only be 2 scenarios then imo, you're either filthy rich or you've just given up on life in general. It's really simple, I'd consider people to be addicted if they forego the consequences of what they're doing continuously. An impulsive reaction once or twice may happen, but if it continues over a period of time, then something is really wrong and should be taken care of early on.

There are addicted ones who tried excluding their account but still register another account, that sure is someone that needs help.  I wouldn't consider myself addicted. I rarely play on casinos and only bet on sports. It doesn't look like it affected me with all the symptoms.

Its a serious problem already when a person commits theft, domestic violence and neglect of children and then leads to foreclosure of their home and all because of the addiction. I don't think I'd go that level anymore.

Even if I’m not addicted on gambling, I usually feel this kind of emotion when losing a huge amount of money on one of my session. I only deposit what can I afford to lose but sometimes even what we can afford is still depressing when its gone because we usually think what we can do using that money instead of wasting it on gambling. Of course, at some point in our lives, we become addicted, admit it or not. But majority of us learn how to control it  and we didn't go into the situation wherein our family is being destroyed or we committed suicide. Restlessness or irritability is a sign of idleness sometimes. generally when trying to break a habit, professionals will tell you that it is futile or rather sometimes futile to just want to stop the habit that you started for a long time suddenly and expect it to work. Addict will make many problem about financial stuff related, so you need to take a look with your money management and your financial situation first. Gambling games isn't actually harmful if we know how to gamble responsively. If we know our limits, no gambling games could harm us no matter how addictive they are. In the past, I might have had some of the symptoms but I can say that I have changed. a change of mindset about gambling can be a huge help to avoid becoming addicted to gambling. I know it might not work for everyone but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Usually people get addicted when they feel more comfortable when they play instead of doing other things. They get addicted also when they absolutely need to win a large sum of money, so, instead to stop their losses,

Everyone who gambles has experienced one or more of these symptoms to a degree. We are humans with emotions. Personally, I am not happy with a loss. I also get anxious sometimes when I gamble. I have certainly fantasied about a loss and them making up my mind to return the next day to win. But I usually dismiss the thoughts. It only becomes an addiction when these symptoms persist for more than  3-6months. And when it actually goes from mild to moderate that it eats up the individual from inside out.

I seriously think that an addiction gets problematic when it hampers a person meeting their obligations and priorities. For example, a father who has a family may be addicted to gambling if he chooses to allocate the funds to his personal endeavors instead of spending it to the family.

Though there may be several symptoms of a gambling addict, it does not entirely equate that if a person manifests such symptoms that he is considered as an "addict" within your definition. As long as the gambler knows how to manage their money without needing to ask for a loan or to beg, then I do not consider them as such "addict" within the definition that OP provided.

Gambling addiction is one of those people’s inevitable problems that even the society and government can’t do about it, but only the gambler itself. If we are responsible enough to gamble an amount we can afford to lose, I think that won’t be a source of problem later on. Because we only gamble for pure fun and pleasure. I think being bored is the biggest trouble. People who are constantly busy with other stuff can't be a gambler, I mean they do not have the time for it. Imagine it this way, if you were to be put in a jail cell and never get out, and all by yourself, you can't gamble right? I mean if you are an addict maybe you could try some stuff for a while but you will have to stop eventually.

This is why I believe that we shouldn't be really assuming that gambling is something every people could do, put limitations and that would happen. All in all I would guess that give that guy something super busy, 20 hours a day, and 4 hours sleep only, and he would stop gambling because he can't find time for it. I don't think that is the case of addiction, being comfortable with gambling does not mean that person will be addicted to it.  Rather the uncontrol urge to gamble is the sign that a person has already developed a gambling addiction.

Well said. In whatever thing one is doing in life, there should always be a limit. Whether you are doing good or bad, once you don't have moderation, you are vulnerable to challenges and disorderliness. Not only in gambling, there are people addicted to so many things in life and it takes a hard work to redeem such people.
What influences this addiction to a great extent is associates and the immediate environment of the victim. One you see an addict, look for possible ways to help the victim.

Supposedly gambling should give you entertainment but since many gamblers treat this as their main source of income, they become more stress especially if they lose the money and those are the bad characteristics that can possibly happen to you once you become addict in gambling. In this case I can't say this is true or not because I haven't found any evidence about the majority who are there are unemployed but in this case it doesn't really matter whether they are unemployed or who already have a permanent job there, it's still the same impact for everyone who is already addicted.

In specific if the person is single then his attitude and behaviour will be different and if the gambler has family and kids then it differs. That's why we have odds on sports betting. If it's pure luck then there should have been no odds on each team at all, just flat out 50/50 for them since it's each match is a game of chance. Also, an addict can not entirely hide his love and cravings for his addiction and if observed carefully, one can identify traits and symptoms of an addiction. People playing gambling in my thing is the two way, they want to entertain themselves or just to seek fun or they want to earn money through playing gambling because those are the most common factor, gambling is not only a decision making also a game against the mental and emotional state to win the game, that's why there are a lot of people getting addicted because of the greediness they urge to play. I think the term "bad" is suited for those addicted gamblers, because most of them are irresponsible. They are neglecting their duties as a certain individual just to make themselves happy in a way they are wasting their money uncontrollably.
