@buwaytress - something just occured to me. As things currently stand, you can basically find a game with equal odds and stake 3 4 3 on 3 different outcomes, thus guaranteeing yourself ~10 points per round.
I don't think that anybody did it, but it would be good to add to the rules that you can bet on only 1 outcome per game just to be on the safe side.

Would be quite a dick move if somebody was protecting the lead late on in the competition, but would actually be allowed as per current rules.

The form currently only allows you to select one outcome per match and I think there were no errors in testing, nor in submissions but I'll test it out again for the next matchday, which I'll put up soon for everyone to enter picks early.

But good point to just amend the rules anyway to reflect this, so thank you!

It seemed to me that the interface does not allow you to place even two bets on one game and not as many as three (I checked the possibility of making a Double Chance bet).
In any case, it is hardly wise to “save” 10 points instead of increasing them - after all, it is difficult to lead so much that you will be reliably protected in case someone guesses the outcome with odds of 6 or even higher.

I made my choices and frankly I had a bit of a hard time this match week.Because if we look at the matches, they are all close matches.What I mean by close is that most of the matches that can really be favored by all 3 sides.Honestly, I think this week can be a week where whoever predicts well can really make the difference. Especially predicting the scores of the matches will be more difficult this week, so I can say that I can make Superbru Pool predictions with more difficulty than Google form.

I started the first week quite good in the Champions League in terms of Pot A. However I'm in last place in Pot B with 0 points. I wish I didn't trust Galatasaray. I'm feeling myself like I must take a risk. I bet all my money on a risky bet again this week. If it wins it is certain that I will go higher by many places. However I must admit that my chance is very low. By the way the odds in Pot B are being updated. For example if 10 players get injured at Barcelona before the match then will Barcelona's odds increase?

Most of us including myself is pretty familiar with how Superbru works, some players will tend to go for some safe prediction on Superbru to protect their lead or go wild with it if they are behind but this whole prediction on google form with point stake system is completely new for me

Unlike your own money balances, its a point that replenish every week so things could be pretty wild as there is no harm to go wild with your option

I hate myself for what I'm thinking to do, but if news doesn't change much I'm going to just close eyes and throw all my dice on away teams.

But as I will mention again, I think that this time the matches will be more difficult to predict than last week, so risk-taking seems to be a must, but I can't say that I'm a risk-taker, but I can't say that I'm a risk-taker. There can be a good scoring for risk-takers, of course, if the result they risked comes out for sure.Unless of course a possible injury or a development before the match spoils things, I don't think my current predictions are too risky. Maybe I was hasty in making the predictions.Because the teams will have a match in 3 days and there is a possibility that some of their players might get injured and miss the match.

I am quite sure I will be much better in pot B than in pot A. You get to pick your own games and you can find few good ones every game week no problems. In superbru you must predict everything and then it is lottery to get exact scores.

Anyway, can't wait for later stages of CL, now there are too many games and it feels like overload.

Anyway, can't wait for later stages of CL, now there are too many games and it feels like overload.

It might get very funny in our pool B, odds based predictions, when in semi-finals or final, everyone will have to take a risk, because only very balanced matches will be available to place bets.
So, I expect everyone will have to put his stake on a prediction of 2.xx odds, where losing the bet will inevitably lead to 0 points rounds for some leading particpants and everyone else will have a chance to catch up.
Supebru often tends to be settled way before semi-finals or final, while it's very possible to be different for our pool B here.
In addition, we don't have to pick every match in pool B, unlike on Superbru, so semi-finals or final has more weight on pool B.

Of course, I might be proven wrong if someone manages to build a huge lead early on in pool B.

Zaha hasn't managed to recover from his injury completely. Still when we consider Manchester United's condition Galatasaray's making a surprise isn't impossible. They managed to qualify from a group with Real Madrid, Juventus and Copenhagen in the past with the contribution of star players such as Drogba, Sneijder.

I also have a couple 3-4 Odds, I'm quite thinking of going all in on, but I really just feel the need to add a bit of insurance, especially due to the fact that a lot of these teams are would be playing away from home.

Meanwhile, most of the favorites, while looking good to back on paper, it's not as easy as it look. If Only Man City had no injury troubles, I would have no problem going all in @ 1.65, but the team doesn't seem to be in their best rhythm, Feyernood and PSG away from home against Atletico Madrid @ 5.2 and Newcastle @ 2.72 respectively are the most tempting ones for me.

I might eventually just go with PSG, for the risk-reward ratio, imo.

Strange round in a way as not a single team in this entire round is considered over 10x, in fact 7x isn't even available

I completely forgot that we have time until tomorrow afternoon for this questionnaire and it is nice additional pot other than the main one.Let me see if the new google sheet is ready to fill,I think I played it right last time when I choose Porto to stake everything for them.

Even this time I will find a good odd and that is with a strong team and I will do the same,stake everything on a single team,maybe not the right approach for many but for me this remains the best try to win something from this additional pot too.

It's going to be problematic. Odds change all the time, sometimes big swings in a day. And then others who've already entered picks will invariably be upset (or happy). Even some of my picks enjoy better odds now than when I locked in mine, but it could go the other way... everything evens out.

It's going to be problematic. Odds change all the time, sometimes big swings in a day. And then others who've already entered picks will invariably be upset (or happy). Even some of my picks enjoy better odds now than when I locked in mine, but it could go the other way... everything evens out.

I will be in for sure. Another very interesting round and I am curious to see how people will adjust their strategy or stick to what they have done last time.

There are also a few massive games this week, which means lots of exciting results happening I suppose.

That seems to be impossible and we are not there yet with the form to automatically update through an oracle.
