I dont buy the argument about we have so many pools so i dont join this one, i mean this is one of the principals and plus is one with the biggest rewards, and if you ask me again the fees on all the other pools decreased so you cn have some margin, i know maybe is not for the money is for the time, but come on play.

Still playing them all but it started to feel like job and not fun. There is just too many pools and too many scores to fill, I can't stand those correct scores predictions any more. Come Friday I have to fill out Bundes, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Premier League, Cross League goal madness and Fantasy - which is way too much then comes Tuesday and I have to send BSFL answers and fill this one and Europa League one. Than there is also F1 and NFL. You can't say that isn't too much and I am complaining while I am responsible for half of them.

That is 12 pools I am currently playing. And I turned down UCL fantasy and Cricket.

I was literally saying this exact same thing to someone yesterday, it's become wholesome, filling just random answers here and there is zero fun from it now, not going to lie, I'm fine when it's a different sport, which is why I joined NFL, because I do watch that a bit too, but I really can't keep up all these football games, and that's almost 100 forms / scores to be entered every freaking week, not to speak of weeks when we have midweek schedule as well.

I feel bad for Trent Arnold Alexander already 3 minutes into the game he looks to have an hamstring issue, I just hope he doesn't end up being the Eden Hazard esque scenario for him, he's not live up to half the expectation that's expected of him and now he's going to be out for a couple weeks at the very least.

Ey Trofo dont get me wrong.

First of all your condition is super special since you take care of a lot of work between the BSFL and the other pools you manage, so you are outside from what im claiming, plus i was refering to left behind this pool instead of others which are much more smaller or less relevant. But i complete understand people avoiding to take part in the pools/contest because they already have enough.

In my case for example i dont join NFL because i know nothing about it and because is a lot.

I think we can all agree we are having so much pools/contest which is pretty good but also makes dont pay all the needed atention to them plus is becoming less fun.

Yeah I checked the leaderboard and I see that who predicted the right score for Athletic Bilbao vs Arsenal (0-2) only got 3 points that I think it should be 4 points.

Can relate partially. Last season when I joined Championship pool, I said that's my last pool. This season we have 2 more pools and I didn't said no .
When I fill predictions of some Championship teams that I didn't even saw playing for whole season, sometimes it feels like filling Excel file at office.
When I will stop getting joy from all these pools, I probably will stay with pools of leagues that I follow most.
Anyway, in general number of participsnts of these pools isn't going down. But when you consider that if you want to play in all pools, it's already quite significant amount of money.

Doesn't look bad, it muscle injury and should be out for a week max and that's his first with Madrid. Trent is just being Trent he usually misses 6-7 games average a season to injuries anyway. He'll be fine.

Manchester United really slept on Greenwood, he's such a beautiful and amazing player to watch.

What the hell is Benfica doing for real in here, probably they took things a bit to easily and thought they would have a walk in a park as when that happens you lose at home soil against a much weaker team. Not only that but you do also make a lot of people including me, losing a lot of money in their bets. This night was horrible but let me fill in some news for you, tomorrow games will go all as predicted as never in life I have seen two consecutive nights in a Champions League match day with surprise results, so people time to make your pockets fat tomorrow by betting all favorites, or almost all favorites in a parlay and betting a nice amount of money into it. That is definitely what I am going to do, I would never want to miss out a cash out and in Champions League there are a lot to take profit from.

It’s indeed a crazy result for Benfica most of all, given that they were already 2 goals up so early in the first half, I had the impression of it being a walkover game with Qarabag and then coming to see them to have lost by 3:2 to Qarabag, that’s an interesting turn of event, Qarabag scoring 3 goals without Benfica getting a response.

Juventus 4:4 Dortmund was yet another interesting one. For a game that ended in a first half 0:0 draw I thought the game was set for an under 2.5 but, these guys got to produce 8 goals in the second half, only a Bundesliga and an aggressive Serie A side could do that and the Laliga side maybe.

PSV 1:3 USG is one scoreline I got in reverse, I wouldn’t have imagined it otherwise.

In my head I was confused when I saw that I got just 5 points, I was sure I picked an upset and I thought that was Qarabagh against Benfica, but when I rechecked I remembered that it was actually Bodo/Glimt I pick to defeat Prague... I'm still in awe with how Benfica blew a 2 goals lead while being the 2nd heaviest favorites of this week.

Actually I think the points system is correct for the 'odds' bit I am just counting.

But definitely the Score bit is not correct @joker_josue and @buway like the main error is I guess Exact Score should be 4 points. Is there a way to see a breakdown of points also like if you picked Upset, should you get extra points?

Hey everyone, what a night it was!

Two upsets, one of which was a truly awesome comeback against one of the best teams in Portugal (Who says Qarabag don't deserve to be here, yeah?).

One match with 8 goals in the second half... but any match where Juventus scores 4 goals should be a shock.
A Spurs gasp over the line featuring one own goal and 8 yellow cards.
Madrid's star RB out after 5 minutes, and then his replacement gets sent off.
I rarely, rarely switch between games during Champs League but I was switching games quite a bit last night!
Yeah, we needed to fix some of that. Should be correct now.

Regarding the leaderboard. The Outcome predictions bit appears to be working well, but we expected that as this system is pretty "mature".

But you're all correct. Scores prediction points are not quite there yet (also, something we knew was going to happen at least for MD1). I mentioned this would happen last night, but don't worry, points are only off about 1 point per match heh. We'll be sure to get it fixed by Friday.

Mind you, there are bonus points in the score prediction to take into account, unlike Superbru. Refer to the rules linked in OP. For Score Predictions, you have, as in the rules, 3 ways to earn points. Base, and Bonus from Upsets (picking an unlikely outcome) and Bonus from Maverick (picking an unlikely score).

So for the Arsenal game, an upset outcome didn't happen. So Upset points don't apply.

Now for the Base points:

0-2 is Exact score, so you get 4 points.
0-1, 0-3, 1-2, 1-3 are all Close scores, so you get 2 points.
Any other Arsenal win is a Correct score, for 1 point.

The Maverick points:
Scores of 0-1 and 1-3 earned 1 bonus point for being picked by <12% of the pool
Scores of 0-3 earned 1.5 bonus points for being picked by <6% of the pool

Now, we need to explain something. When we did these percentages, we assumed we would get minimum of 40 people, since we've had 50 or more every season. This season, we set a low record of only 35, I should have foreseen something like that but well, I did not =) So we adjusted the % points for Maverick slightly... (from 5% and 10% to 6% and 12%).

I thought about this too when I saw how the match turned around. Objectively, yes, it should be something in the region of 500, but the bookmakers are unlikely to have given more than 200.
Another game should have been a high-scoring one: Real Madrid vs. Marseille, but Real Madrid didn't convert even a tenth of their chances. I don't like that this is another game where Real Madrid got a red card. I wonder if Xabi will try to discipline the team?

The first half was boring... the second half was explosive with 8 goals in the second half, an epic comeback from Juventus.

Juventus has been scoring more goals lately, including in Serie A, and they were able to overcome that without losing in the Champions League, but it's good that Italian teams are no longer weak.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking about how Real Madrid benefited from two penalties to win.

What happened to the great correct score octopus this season? Seems to be doing badly in the pools this season. Used to pray for days like this.
